So many places in this center. Felt like salad so I chose this but I was in a hurry catching a flight. The menu is large. So many salad choices. What I noted was half salads were available. As I approached the order taker I saw there were 3 choices for salad wraps. Egg , tuna, chicken. Chose the egg salad and so happy I did. I also ordered the cup of tomato basil. Made it a combo and it was about $9. No complaints. Egg salad had great taste. Nice red pepper slices and red onion. Lovely Bibb lettuce. Really nice portion. The soup was good. This is by far my FAVORITE place to get lunch. I used to work in Irvine and would come here at least twice a week to have lunch. I personally LOVE the Chicken & Wild Rice soup paired with a Cesar salad or the Oriental one. I sadly no longer work in the area, however, when given the opportunity or am near the are, I come here for lunch! Just wish this location was open on the weekends. This is the perfect spot for a work lunch if you want something relatively quick and healthy. They have a decent selection of soups, sandwiches, and salads (which is pretty large) so you wont be leaving this place still hungry. The few times I've been here the menu has been the same (my favorite is the mixed berry salad), but the soups rotate. Regardless, the menu is on their website, so you can always look it up beforehand or phone in your order for pick-up if you are in a rush. They also offer a soup/salad or soup/half sandwich combo that is great for lunch as well. The salads are all really fresh: I think they are able to keep this up because it is always so popular, so you wont get any wilted veggies here. My only gripe is that it is a bit pricey for a soup/sandwich/salad joint, but the food is good, its perfect for work, and its pretty much in line with the pricing of other restaurants in the corporate Irvine area, so can't complain too much. read more

When I came back to work, I found that the pear they gave me was bad. My pears had brown spots within the white parts of the pear. I had to throw more than half of it away. Disappointing. Food came out hot and fresh. We all dig in since the presentation looked great! Food was fresh and everything was tasty. My panini was good but like my yelp friend Jonathan S. states, it could have had thicker cuts of chicken or at least more of it. Overall a solid panini. My sisters was super rich and decadent. Three rich cheeses with mayo and bacon YOWZA! It was good but I don't think I could even polish off a half one. My mom enjoyed her other half but agreed its a very rich panini!!!! My tomato bisque was good but the Wildmushroom chicken soup was insanely good!!!! I can have a huge bowl of that with their added homemade croutons. My mom enjoyed her very pretty salad. Only gripe I had is that some of the employees should be a little more behaved on their lunch breaks. One looked like he wanted to off himself on his break. Oh my gosh Croutons... where have you been my whole life? I LOVED this place for lunch. They have great lunch specials and it is just the right amount of food to leave you feeling satisfied. I walked in and noticed that they color code the menu to help you decide on your combinations. I work hard enough every day that this made my lunch break just a bit easier for my indecisive mind. I then picked the pear and bleu cheese salad with the tomato basil soup. The salad had just the right amount of dressing and it did not have any of those nasty pieces of white lettuce. I had the Meditteranean Salad which was very fresh, flavorful and delicious and my hubby & I shared a Chicken Margherite sandwich which was also pretty good. It could have used a little more pesto mayo for flavor because the sliced chicken breast was a bit dry. The service was good, the place was clean and seemed "covid safe", no glove wearing, which I appreciate being a restaurant owner. It's much cleaner and safer using gloveless CLEAN hands. I went with the Regular Albacore and for just under $10 got a big salad with a healthy helping of tuna and mixed veggies, lite vinaigrette, and some tasty seasoned croutons. They are a better version of Panera and corner bakery! The shopping center that they are in is adjacent to several high rise office buildings on Main and MacArthur so it gets quite busy at lunch time. Prime time is from like 11:30 to 1:30 PM. I like to order and pay online so it's ready by the time I get there or else the line can be a bit long. One of my favorite things on the menu is the albacore tuna salad. The albacore is made just right with not too much mayonnaise. Another good choice is the buffalo chicken salad. They have sandwiches salads Panini's and soups And have a wide variety to accommodate all different kinds of tastes. Yummmmy healthy food! I work extremely close to Croutons and have been wanting to try it for a while. Finally, after a weekend full of sin, I decided to be healthy with a yummy salad. Croutons was the place to come! I ordered the Albacore Tuna Salad with added avocado. Huge portions! But because I skipped breakfast, I finished it all. The salad is so fresh and the tuna wasn't fishy at all. This salad comes with a light vinaigrette dressing that perfectly compliments the salad. The croutons are so good! Super yummy! I also like how the containers are big enough to toss the salad. It's always a huge pet peeve of mine when the container is small and you can't toss. I ordered to go and thankfully I did because during lunch hours, the line is out the door! My food was ready once I arrived so I just paid and left. The employees all work and talk very fast because they probably have to, just to keep up with the crowds of people coming in. Parking in this complex is always a pain.
