Would not recommend Flowthrough Plumbing. They had repaired our water heater awhile back and I called them to replace the backyard outside water faucet handle/spigot as the old one was getting hard to turn. Wanted them to replace it with a lever-type handle which is the type we have in the front yard . I spoke with Robin and she sd that she would call me back to set up an appointment. I never heard back from her so I call her and she says that she needs to know what kind of handle I wanted. I had described it to her before and thought it was pretty standard for a plumbing company to know what this was. She said I needed to take a photo of the kind I wanted and send it to her cell phone & then she would get back with me. I took a picture of the lever-type one in the front yard and sent it to the mobile number that she gave me. About a week goes by and never heard back from her so I call her and she said she would gave to get back with me. Again I waited about another week and she never called. Called again and she said she would get back with me and same as before, never heard back from her. Called again and Robin said she had never received the photo that I had text to the cell number. Reason she said she didn't receive it was that the person whose phone I had sent it to was no longer with the company. Now she asked me to email it to her and that she would get back with me. Was really getting frustrated with them at this point but went ahead and emailed the same photo. Again I waited and never heard from her. Called her and she said she never received the email & would I email it again. At this point I had had it with them as this had been going on for over a month and I felt she was just messing with me so I told her to forget it. I called another plumber and they came on the next day and replaced the spigot and didn't even require that I send a photo. They knew exactly what type spigot I wanted and their plumber carries them on the truck. Have never worked with a company as unprofessional as Flowthrough Plumbing located in Leesburg, VA in giving me the run-around. Would never recommend them as they jacked me around and wasted a lot of my time. I see they are saying I may have them confused with another plumbing company but I do not. I also see that the owner says he emailed me back but he never did....all lies. read more

We are repeat customers of flowthrough and are so happy to work with them each time. Their prices are reasonable and the customer service is always top notch. Keeler always returns phone calls promptly and will go above and beyond to ensure that we are satisfied with our service. They have replaced sump pumps for us (even a reverse osmosis water filter/purifier) which Andy spent close to 6 hours installing himself. If they say they can do a job they will and they will not over charge. Doug has been to our house many times and is always prompt, polite, and professional. Their work does not leak and is guaranteed or they come back and fix it. We can't say how much we appreciate all their help after we moved into the area. Flowthrough Plumbing did a great job clearing our clogged kitchen drain. I had made several futile efforts on my own (including the snake making a wrong turn and coming out the roof vent! ). Waved the white flag and called on a Sunday afternoon. Andrew was out bright and early the very next day! Arrived and worked in a mask and got the drain cleared (80 feet of snake and no wrong turns later). Pricing was fair and appreciated, plus, he is a small local business (lives in Leesburg proper) and we love using local! After finding that our toilet was leaking enough to have flooded the bathroom, I messaged Flowthrough on their website about an hour after they had closed. Shortly thereafter, Keeler called me and took my information, setting up an appointment for first thing Thursday morning. Andy and Dave showed up promptly at 9:30 and set to work. Not only were they having to remove a toy from toilet thanks to my son, but they also had to fix a leak. They managed to accomplish all of that within an hour and a half and the price tag was under $200! All three people I interacted with were fantastic. I know that a lot of times, plumbing can be complicated and pricey. I was informed of all my options, the work got done quickly and the price was shockingly low. Can't beat that! I have used Flowthrough Plumbing for a water heater replacement and just recently a mixing valve replacement. Our water heater was 10 years old and needed emergency replacing and after calling and having 3-4 different companies diagnose (leak? replace? change part?) I found Flowthrough online and am so happy I did! Coordinated service and Andy and his helper came out replaced our water heater. The price for the water heater and service beat all other companies! Broken water heater. Water leaking. Sad :( Looked up the best rated plumber on Angies list. Had them come out and give us an estimate. After recovering form sticker shock, they wanted $2,200 to replace a standard 50 gallon water heater. Wife did lots of internet research that night. Called several plumbers in the morning. Flowthrough seemed to have the best price estimate, seemed to be knowledgeable and were very nice. Despite nasty winter weather with down power lines and icy roads they came out that afternoon and replaced the water heater for $942 using a comparable quality heater that the more expensive company wanted $2,200 for. Apparently it pays to check reviews in more than one place and comparison shop. I will use flowthrough for any of my future plumbing needs in Leesburg. read more

Andy showed up with a younger helper to install two sink faucets, a shower trim kit, a tub drain and two new toilet valves and supply lines. Job was estimated at two hours of labor. Shortly after arriving Andy had to leave to get a part so left the helper behind to work. This resulted in two large mistakes. 1) Helper accidentally snapped a CPVC supply lines to one of the sinks so they had to cut a hole in the ceiling of the den to access and repair the break. 2) Helper incorrectly installed the new shower cartridge with two (both the old and new) retaining rings instead of just the one needed. This resulted in the trim retainer bolt getting binded in the valve which caused the bolt having to be drilled out. Both of these mistakes significantly contributed to the 5.5 hours required to complete the job. Additional problems were: 1) The shower trim kit never was installed properly as the first chrome trim ring was damaged and the plastic trim was broken. I happened to have a second trim kit so I gave Andy a new chrome piece and plastic trim. This time the chrome piece was installed without being damaged but the plastic trim piece was broken a second time. Andy concluded the issue was the brass valve wasn't properly secured to a stud and was binding on the chrome ring resulting in the trim piece not being able to install properly so we ended up having to essentially glue the broken trim piece on. I would have expected that Andy would have properly anchored the valve so the trim could be properly installed but by that point he was clearly frustrated and wanted to just finish quickly. 2) Another issue that caused additional time was my request to use semi-rigid supply lines for the two toilets as the original lines were semi-rigid. Andy had difficulty bending the lines properly and ended up having to go buy more lines before completing the install. Andy placed blame for these mistakes respectively on 1) the age of the CPVC pipes, 2) the poor design of the shower trim kit and 3) me for not asking for flexible hookups vs semi-rigid. When finally finished he wanted to charge me for 5.5 hours of labor. When I pointed out a lot of the extra time needed was due to his helpers mistakes he agreed to only charge 4.5 hours of labor. In addition to the extra labor I had to pay I also have to pay a drywall repair for another $250. Also I need to purchase a new $100 trim kit for the other bathroom I will eventually be replacing the fixtures in. So in total I estimate my out of pocket expense will be approx $500 more than had Andy and his helper not made these mistakes. I was disappointed that Andy did not take ownership of these mistakes and adjust the bill more equitably. Further I was disappointed that the shower trim install was never completed correctly. If you elect to hire Flowthrough Plumbing be concerned if he shows up with a helper and I hope everything goes smoothly as any issues that arise will definitely not be their fault. read more

I discovered a leaky faucet in the kitchen in the morning and called a number of plumbers from my referrals and reviews. After a few unsuccessful attempts to get same day service, I got Flowthrough Plumbing's phone number from another company. Andy came out within 2 hours and tightened the faucet. After he and his assistant left, I discovered that hot water was not running. Andy promptly came back and replaced the faucet and the supply lines (the hose turned out to have been pinched). He also gave a lot of valuable recommendations concerning other mysterious plumbing issues we had in the house. The price was very reasonable. Will definitely use them again. read more

I had purchased a combination tank to bowl and toilet flush valve replacement kit. The price quoted was $145 for the replacement. Andy said the toilet leak didn't actually need the tank to bowl replacement I had purchased in the combo kit but since he had to remove the tank to replace the flush valve, he would also replace the tank to bowl piece. Unfortunately, when he removed the tank, he discovered a huge chunk had somehow broken off the toilet base and the whole toilet needed to be replaced. That was a tremendous surprise! He went to Home Depot and got a nice replacement for $168. The total cost with a 15% discount was $400. We are very happy with out new toilet and pleased with the quick service! read more

I rarely write reviews and usually only do so when service is outstanding. I had a leaky shower and called a couple of plumbing companies. One didn't return my call and the second one, the guy called back and was extremely rude, trying to pressure me into service. So, I called Flowthrough Plumbing after noticing the good reviews from other websites--granted, the other companies had good reviews as well. With Flowthrough Plumbing, I was greeted with a live voice that was not only professional but courteous as well. Additionally, I was given their rate, which seemed to be reasonable so I scheduled an appointment for 1PM the next available day. The morning of the scheduled appointment, they had left a message stating they could be on their way within the hour. So I called back expressing I was not able to make it during that time. To my surprise, I was told they were really concerned for me not being able to take a shower so they wanted to get here as soon as possible. Now, that's awesome! Luckily, I was using a portable shower so there were no immediate worries. When the guys arrived, they listened, took a look, kindly explained the cause and resolved the issue. There was no rush and even answered a few questions I had about maybe doing things myself--if there happens to be a next time. While other plumbers sent me straight to voice mail & still hadn't called me back, I was pleasantly surprised to reach a human being (and a very polite one, too!) on my first call to Flowthrough! I was able to get a same-day appointment scheduled, and after I had explained our problem, the woman who answered my call told me an estimate of how the issue might be fixed & what it would cost for both a simple fix, as well as what it would cost if it was a more difficult solution. The plumber who arrived at my house (Doug) was very professional, tidy and was able to quickly diagnose the problem and fixed it in less than an hour! The cost was VERY reasonable, as well, and it was exactly what I had been quoted in my initial call to the company.
