First time ever at crumble I was very excited because of all the hype over TickTock and Instagram they finally had made one on the upper Eastside but I never got around to getting there but now they have one on the upper West side I literally work like three blocks away from it and the sign has said the grand opening is tomorrow which is Friday, January 20th but I'm assuming they decided to have a soft opening to kind of gear up for what awaits them tomorrow but basically I got there at 5 PM and it wasn't busy at all they have to Khios is and you order from there or you can order at the register and the cookies came out really quickly, I got one cookie the Oreo cookie to be specific because none of the other cookies were interesting to me this week and I hope that come Monday they have a better lineup with that being said I paid five dollars exactly for the cookie and it came warm it didn't exactly give off an Oreo cookie more of a chocolate lava cookie taste with butter cream or I guess Oreo filling icing but it was very close in my opinion it's so much better than chip city because it comes warm and it literally is what the name says which is crumble because I couldn't even pick it up it was falling apart the cookie overall was thin but not too sweet and just right again didn't really give Oreo as well as I thought it would but definitely worth trying at least once or twice hopefully the lines won't be as long as the one on the upper Eastside definitely stop in check it out I guess you can say I got really lucky for this soft opening I was in and out. read more

I am puzzled on how a place that sells cookies can cause so much unhappiness. I went to this location on a hot July Saturday afternoon. This is a store where you buy and carry...no sitting down to enjoy anything. Plus you wouldn't want to sit down anyway because the air conditioner was not working. We were actually forming a line around the HVAC guy and his ladder. You place an order through a tablet and then join the crowd waiting for their orders. I was only here because my child saw this TikTok and so was everyone else judging by the demographic. It was a miserable experience. I waited about 20 minutes for my 6 pack order and maybe it would have been worth it if the cookies tasted good. The cookies the worst cookies I ever had in my life (and I am old). I am going to call this place halfway cookies. They tasted half-baked, made with half a recipe and baked in half a store. To add to my misery, the employees were miserable and actively avoiding the front counter and any interaction with people unless it was to hand off a order. Please don't waste $27.21 like I did. Go to Insomnia Cookies or if its an emergency, the Subway cookies taste better this Crumbl piece of crap. So compared to the east side store, the west side store is absolutely phenomenal. They go above and beyond for customer service. Eastside crumble, please learn from the westside crumble. Cookies are always nice, warm, and fresh. When it comes to the East Side, the reason I mentioned it, long story short. Mistakenly placed the order on the East Side. Try to receive my money back. I guess it was the manager there. I called her. She was playing ring around the rosie with me. I went back to the west side store. Explained it to the Westside manager as she was happy to give me the cookies.. Talk about night and day. On top of that, she apologized for the East Side stores. Cookies were delicious, even if the staff wasn't especially friendly. Also - bring a bag! For someplace that offers catering, they don't give you any, and walking ten blocks and getting on a rush hour train with both hands full of a stack of cookie boxes was super inconvenient. A YouTuber promoted this and I thought it was worth a try when I randomly saw the store on the UWS one summer night. You order at a kiosk then pick up at another counter. Not much of a wait. I got a pink sugar cookie. What another reviewer said was correct - these do not taste like any cookie I've ever had before and I mean that in a bad way. It came out ice cold. Who ever heard of ice cold cookies? I should have had the person warm them for me. And they were far too sweet and kind of a weird semi-stale taste. Edible, if you want to wind up in a diabetic coma I guess. The frosting was much sweeter than the cookie so I didn't eat much of it. $5 isn't bad for the size of the cookie. Two people can eat it but this place isn't even close to being in competition with my beloved Insomnia Cookies where the cookies are always served warm, fresh and not too sweet. read more

Ambiance was great ! Service was ok, staff needs to properly place cookies in box, mine were all mushed up and frosting spread from one cookie to another. Also I was charged white milk which they didn't even have and I had to turn back around when I opened my bag and it wasn't there for them to tell me oh sorry we ran out. Uuummm why not say that before I had to walk 3 blocks back to the store? Just threw my $30 plus tip, delivery/service charge in the garbage..ordered 4/26 - just terrible...cookies were not fresh -chocolate chip and chocolate choco multi chips and oreo tasted stale, not extraordinary and not gooey, just disgusting..the other cookies with frosting were dry, caky and not palatable...such a disappointment --tried putting all in refrigerator (sometimes help with flavor) nope -still not palatable. We went for the opening last week and it was just as good the upper east side. To my understanding they're the same owners and they're super involved with the stores which makes it feel personable. They're super responsive and really sweet. The line was long but it went fast and it was so worth it! I placed an order via the website for a gift - I specifically ordered a gift box with a card and spent time on the message to include with it. The gift was delivered without the card and I had to ask the recipient if they received it. Embarrassing. And when I tried to call the Upper West Side location (the location where the order was created), they hung up on me by accident, and I tried to call back and got voicemail. First off, to preface, cookies have variable texture, size, doneness, and obviously flavor. Just like pizzas, different localities have different preferences. East coasters like thin crust, Chicago has deep dish, and these clowns in Cali eat avocado and pineapple on theres. (jk) We all know Levain's is the size of a baseball. Crumbl cookies are known for their sugar cookie base, soft texture, and slightly molten center. They are a popular chain from the midwest that's made landfall in NYC. I'm a New Yorker, and if you're looking for a soft baked cookie, you'll be hard pressed to find one that's better. The dough has a slight crunch on the exterior, is nice and buttery throughout, richer than your Wall Street bf could ever be, covered in a decadent frosting (better than Magnolia's or Sprinkles) and is super indulgent. I always split these with a friend. So to all you haters out there complaining about a "sugary" sugar cookie that's a health hazard "cuz it's practically raw" in the middle (same clowns eating cookie dough ice cream w/ their eyes rolled to the back of their heads), and whining about how it's so huge and caloric they can't finish an entire one by their lonesome, chill. These are meant to be shared, and they are so fab you won't need to engorge yourself to feel satisfied. So grab some friends and enjoy. The lemon and chocolate frosted ones are the best. read more

I stopped in last night to see what had opened in the neighborhood at the plum location of W 74th and Columbu$. Yum cookies!!! The place was clean, well-staffed and efficient. A bit pricey for a cookie, but it is a rather thick cookie. So I went for it. The ordering on a kiosk was quite easy. The cookies can be ordered in 4, 6 or more and come in a nice pink box (think Krispy kreme presentation) which all adds to the costliness. They even list the calories count of the cookies (although after tasting them I would like to see proof. I believe the calories to be way higher than the numbers suggest.) However, I was disappointed in the taste when I got home directly after purchasing 4 of the cookies. To call the products I received a "cookie" is, to me, a misnomer. And to call the store "Crumbl" is as well, because these cookies have no crumble to them. I can well understand some of the disappointed reviewers. I mean, who doesn't like a good cookie? But to call this a cookie when it is hardly baked inside is the problem for me. Yes, it's somewhat baked on the outside, but it is mostly made of cookie dough or at least tasted a lot like it. It has the same consistency of cookie dough inside. Perhaps "Cookie tar tar" would be a better store name? (And please... It's not a baked cookie that is soft inside, but it's actual cookie dough inside). Imagine a cookie that is half baked cookie and half cookie dough. I actually thought of reheating one at home to see if it would taste less doughy. I know there are people who love cookie dough, and so much they will eat it in ice cream. "A chacun son gout" as the French say. I am not one of those people. The birthday cake icing tasted pretty good, although, it was not a hardened icing as well, and was very soft to runny. Also there was one "cookie" it says needs to be chilled. What!!! And why??? I found that all of the icings were in need of being chilled as they were too soft and runny. So I put all of my cookies and the entire box (it is a long pink box) in my refrigerator. That took care of the runny icing after it chilled. But once back out to room temperature it still was as soft and runny. I am assuming this is indeed the product they mean to sell, unless someone needs to look after the quality control of the product at this store. The chef apparently never heard of the phrase, "that's the way the cookie crumbles" because it certainly doesn't at Crumbl. And, yes, it's all way too sweet. Coming from a sugar addict that says something. I wish them much business because the rent at that spot isn't cheap. JP read more
