Crunchy's may look like a dive when you walk through the door but stick it out! The burgers are great and you can order a BUCKET of beer! No seriously, they bring it out in a bucket with a pitcher to scoop it out and share. And the karoake here is so much fun. I had a lot of great nights at Crunchy's while I was a student at MSU and every once in awhile a group of us will get together just for the purpose of having a fun night out at Crunchy's. read more

I have to give it a 4 because the burger was SO good.....but I want to give it a 3 for the over powering cheap beer smell and average to poor service and atmosphere. If you're looking for a burger though, I would still recommend it. read more

Solid college-town food. Healthy portions of decent burgers and fried items (chicken strips, fries). Generous pours of several draft beers (Founders, Shorts - mmm) suited for a student budget. Overflowing with beer hall ambiance, if you're into leaving your name on the wall of your booth, and I sort of am. read more

The crispy chicken salad and Cobb salads were great. The pizza nugs were amazing and couldn't get enough of them. The prices and waitstaff were great and I would recommend Crunchy's to anyone that likes good food, fast/friendly service in a college bar atmosphere. read more

I just had the best burger I've had for a long time, especially for less than $2.50 (Monday evening burger special). Pizza was fast and tasty. I appreciated that our kids were relatively welcome. Food delivery was just a bit off, some of what I ordered never showed up. All in all, the food was awesome! read more

It's a three out of five at best on most days. The burger special is... You get what you paid for. If you like the burger medium well better order it Well or it may still be moo-ing! I knew I should have turned around and left the other day when I stopped in lunch I found out the management had let go Danae their best waitress. When she was my waitress, My order was always fast, hot, and never wrong ever! I had a feeling I should have left as soon as I found this out. So I foolishly went head and placed my order. They were not all that busy and it still took 30 minutes to get my chesseburger special. My order was the burger special with no veggies (lett and tom) with extra pickels and tater tots. When it did come my tater tots were presented as french fries and the burger with veggies and no pickels was warm at best. As red as it was I believe I heard a faint moo?!? So maybe they had an off day. So the next week I tried the place one more time. People that came in after I had sat down got their food first. WTH?!? I asked the waiter and he tried to tell me them got before me and it would be right up. There were counting my table 3 tables filled just before the lunch rush and my order was placed as soon as I sat down. It was almost as bad as the week before. The exception was the tots were cold and the burger was over done almost burnt and hard as a rock! Unless they bring back Danae I will not be going back, if at all anytime soon. A classic East Lansing bar. They have a vast selection of rotating beers. I suggest the famous Crunchy Burger or their pizza nugs. They also have a killer trivia night every Tuesday which is a blast. read more

Crunchy's put a bad taste in my mouth this week when I redeemed my Groupon. Although it was not from the food! It was for the fact that no where in the fine print does it state that the groupon can not be used on any Crunchy's Specials! I made certain to look for any info and fine print stating such a thing before making my Groupon purchase. Only to be informed once we sat down in the restaurant by the waitstaff that we could not use it on their lunch special. We were also very confused as to who our waitress or waiter was the entire time we were there. As every time we turned around someone else was taking our drink order, food order, bring us food, refilling our drinks or bringing us our bill. The entire wait stay is very unorganized and confusing all the while the manager is sitting at the bar drinking and playing on the computer. Surprisingly with all the mayhem that is going on inside Crunchy's, the burgers taste amazing! It was our first time to visit Crunchy's, an although the food was good, we do not think we will be back. Use your Groupon and Dine at your own Risk! read more

Usually have great service, but after last night we will not be back. Went in for a bar crawl with some friends. My friend was stopped at the door and told he would not be allowed to enter because he was wearing a bar crawl shirt we had purchased. I offered to give him my jacket to cover up. We were told no. He offered to go to the bathroom and flip the shirt inside out. No deal. There was nothing offensive about it. We were basically told that that is their rule, despite the fact we were paying customers who planned to order food and drinks. It's funny to me, because another group was there with shirts on! The even had a list of bars they planned to attend on their crawl, and Crunchy's was scrawled on the back of their shirts!! In the end, the bouncer told us we could stand at the bar, no sit, and order food to go. The waitress we dealt with was very rude and threw our bagged order at me. After this experience, we won't be going back. read more

Server was friendly and attentive. Food was good and came out quickly. A huge negative though is the parking situation. I parked in the lot between this business and the Biggby Coffee shop next door. I came out to find a parking ticket on my windshield for $45. The officer was still in the lot writing tickets with the manager of the coffee shop with him, so I went over to talk to them. They informed me that the lot was for Biggby customers only and that there was signage to that effect. If that is the case, the signs really don't do an effective job of communicating that. There is a small faded sign buried in bushes on the south end of the lot stating that unauthorized vehicles would be towed, but it doesn't say WHICH business's customers ARE authorized. One could easily assume both businesses share the lot since it borders both businesses. There are a few spots on the North end of the lot with signs that say Biggby parking only, but there was no such sign on the spot I was parked in. Biggby really should mark the lot more clearly, but if they don't, Crunchy's may want to because this is creating an negative experience for their customers. read more
