I used Humberto for a couple of years. He was willing to do small jobs or entire cars and I appreciated that. He was not without his quirks but his work was always extremely good and I considered him my go-to guy for my cars. A couple of months ago, he offered to do my thresholds with a clear bra. He said he would order them for two cars of mine. A few weeks later, after not hearing anything, I asked if he could also get touch-up paint for some scratches and also to come over for to work on an area where sprinklers had hit my car. He said he would order it and come over soon. After not hearing from him for a month about any of these things, I texted him. No response whatsoever. I waited another month and texted again. I received this: "just got super busy". Nothing else. And since that was hours ago, I think that Humberto is officially done. If this isn't the definition of unreliable, I don't know what is. So you may work with him for weeks, months, even years and then abruptly... you may not for whatever reason. Just wanted to share my story. read more

Very communicative over phone and text. gave me a $300 estimated quote over the phone, and when he saw the Rv at the scheduled appointment time, he said it would only be $250 based on the condition he saw. Who does that?? I ended up tipping him $100 for not taking advantage of me--he could've said 350 when he showed up! Couldn't recommend him more and will definitely use him again! read more

I wasn't planning on writing this review but after a series of unpleasant texts and emails I feel I should share my experience. As far as washing the cars go, Humberto does a good job and he has worked for us for many years. The issue at hand, Humberto cannot take the slightest form of criticism at all, constructive or otherwise. Over the years there have been several instances which I have brushed off but this weeks topped the cake. 1) He cancelled on us last week the day before his weekly scheduled time. I immediately emailed him that same Thursday asking if he could come at a later time or a sooner date. No reply or acknowledgment of the email. I then emailed him again on Monday requesting the same thing, no reply or acknowledgment. I texted him on Tuesday to which he finally replied. He said he could not come sooner than Friday which is our normal date. Why didn't he just reply to the multiple emails I sent? During this exchange I informed him that it was "unprofessional" to ignore emails which he has clung to and now repeatedly brought up. It is in fact unprofessional to ignore emails with clients, especially when you cancel on them. I am not calling him unprofessional, I am stating ignoring emails is unprofessional. He doesn't seem to care regarding the difference. 2) He has now emailed me and texted me multiple times with a very hostile attitude. This could have been easily resolved but he chose to make it personal which it was not. If you cannot make your scheduled appointments there is no issue, I understand things come up but you should try to come sooner to make up for the missed appointment. I hope in the future Humberto can learn to lead with kindness and problem solve better. We won't be using his service moving forward. read more

Humberto did a ceramic coating with CQuartz on my red Tesla Model 3 about 3 months ago. I was considering a formal "paint correction" at the time as well, but decided against it due to cost. When I discussed the treatment with Humberto, I asked him to minimize any scratches in the clear coat as much as possible during the application. He said that he would do this. Communication was good before the job, and he and his partner came to my house and did the CQuartz treatment in a few hours. Afterwards I was surprised to see that the scratches in the clearcoat had increased greatly. These were mostly swirls that I assume came from the rotary buffers that they used. Despite this, I paid for the job and tipped them well for their time. But I was pretty sad about the scratches, and it continues to make me sad to this day. The CQuartz otherwise seems to be working to keep the car hydrophobic, but the swirls are very noticeable in the sun. I wish Humberto had been clearer from the beginning that his treatment would *increase* the amount of visible scratches, rather than decrease them. Despite this, I tried booking him for a full detail on another car that I was selling. We booked a time, and I waited for him on the day of service. He didn't show up, and didn't return my calls or texts asking if he was running late or would just like to reschedule. This was not great and wasted my afternoon. Overall, he seemed hard working and well meaning, but in retrospect, I never should have gone with him for the ceramic coating application. It left my car covered in twice as many scratches in the clear coat as prior to the treatment. I'm expecting some hate for leaving this review, but I do feel it's warranted. read more

*This review is primarily for a cosmetic issue.* I found Humberto after researching companies to repair scratches on my car. After weighing my options then visiting the car dealership for their professional opinion, I bought a $15 touch up paint kit from Acura and decided to go the DIY route--only I didn't trust myself not to screw it up so went to Yelp lol. I'm very happy with the results and saved hundreds of dollars I would have spent elsewhere. It isn't perfect but for such minor scrapes there was no reason for my car to spend days in an auto body shop and pay for an entire bumper & side molding repair. As far as the detail: my car wasn't in terrible shape to begin with so I don't have a strong opinion on the outcome aside from his price is very reasonable and he comes to you so you can't beat the convenience. My brother had given me a gift coupon for Humberto's detailing. He worked past sundown to finish my car. I couldn't believe how beautiful my car looked when he was finished. It looked brand new. Humberto was professional and courteous. He refused to take a tip even though I insisted. He said if it was a gift coupon that he doesn't accept tips. How rare is that! He does decent work but is very unprofessional and rude to deal with. He needs training in customer service. Customer service and extremely poor attitude are the motivations behind this review. I've tried to schedule a wash with him on 4 recent occasions and his attitude and messages are curt, discourteous, and rude (via text or phone. He also ignored my texts on several occasions). Granted I asked to reschedule the first one (this is standard client business practice in any service industry), it's his attitude and behavior that is very disappointing and frankly appalling. Very poor customer service - the worst I've seen in 15 years. He also left tons of streaks all over the dashboard inside my car. It seems that since his business doing well at the moment, he has become arrogant and lost appreciation for other clients. This isn't good business practice for long term client retention. Sob story: Just got my car out of the auto body shop (where it was for 9 days), parked under a tree (by Sushi Gen if anyone is curious), and a bird decided to let go...from the wipers all the way to the headlights. Washed the car 2 hours later, and it was etched into the clear coat. AAARRRGH. Called Umberto and he said he could come down the same day. Not only did he get the Pollock design out, but got all the other scratches around the car plus a wax coat without even asking or charging extra. $60!! I slipped him an extra $20 though. Wow, I am a believer! I actually got this as a gift for the holidays because it isn't something I would normally do for myself. I didn't realize what a huge difference it would make to my car. My leather seats were beyond dirty with two dogs constantly being driven around, my rugs covered with dirt and scratches on the outside, normal wear and tear to a 7 year old car (and I probably don't clean it as much as I should!) I left Humberto and his partner to do their thing for 3 hours and when he was done, I was blown away with the results!
