    yum. Mountain Jam burger.

Ive been on a mission lately; to find the best burger in Savannah, Hilton Head, Bluffton area. Not a smash burger. They do have one on the menu, but that's not my mission right now. Went today for the first time. THE VERY BEST TRADITIONAL BURGER IN SAVANNAH. I got the mountain jam. completely devoured it. Friendly bartender. a little run down, but the place is old and has charm. Glad to see they use Heinz, and the fries were pretty good too. Also, very easy parking, they have their own lot!

Probably the best meal I had in Savannah! Service was excellent, food quality was 10 out of 10 AND would definitely go back!!!

We went on a Saturday night in January and waited about 30 minutes for a table. Once we were seated, we ordered quickly and the food was on the table within 15 minutes. The food was hot and fresh. I mean the French fries burned my tongue! (But in a good way). Neither my companion nor I loved the coleslaw as we are very picky about our coleslaw. But everything else was delicious. Our server was great too but I can't recall her name. They got the tables cleaned quickly for the next guests to come in. Very much enjoyed our visit and our yummy food. ***We had ordered takeout from here about 15 months ago and that is why we decided to come back. Two great meals and we will be back when visiting Savannah again.

We stopped by Crystal Beer Parlor after church, and it was exactly the kind of place you hope to land on a busy day. Yes, it was very busy--but in the best way. Lots of locals, a steady buzz, and a lively atmosphere without ever feeling rushed. The service was solid and efficient, and despite how packed it was, we never felt hurried out the door. That alone is worth noting. The food delivered. My burger was tasty, well-cooked, and satisfying in that classic pub-grill way. Nothing overcomplicated--just done right. The sides were a hit too, and most importantly, the kids were happy. That's always the real test. The menu is approachable, the vibe is relaxed, and it's genuinely kid-friendly without feeling like a "kids place." This is a casual, dependable Savannah staple--great for families, great for locals, and easy to see why people keep coming back. We would absolutely return.

Got there right as it opened and followed in a mess of police officers heading for lunch. That should tell you something. The room was old-timey, but nicer than I expected to see. Bathrooms were clean. Service was on-it and management was circulating the whole time we were there. Great beer and cocktail list, good prices and quite a varied menu of the kind of local stuff you want - but not done in a shi-shi way. The food was good and the service and drinks were great.

What a great Savannah restaurant! Great food. Great indoor outdoor seating. Amazing service. I had a great local beer and a huge chicken tenders salad. We all shared an appetizer. The restaurant is large, taking into consideration the indoor area and very large area for dining outside. The Crystal Beer Palace was a great place to enjoy our last night in Savannah.

We heard great things about Crystal Beer Parlor and knew we had to stop in during our weekend trip to Savannah. It was quite busy when we got there so we put our name in and grabbed a drink at the bar. They have a little gift shop and outdoor seating area where you can sit while you wait so it made the time go quickly. Our table was ready before the time they quoted us and our server greeted us promptly. Service was quick and our food came out fast for how many tables were filled. We got the pretzel thats as big as a steering wheel (the menu says that) and the crab puppies (I think that was the name) for apps. Both were delicious. We got an assortment of entrees at the table, burger, some seafood, etc. Everything was hot, tasted fresh and we enjoyed it all. We had a great experience and would definitely return next time we're in town.

If you are ever in Savannah, Georgia, I strongly recommend this long-standing establishment. Great atmosphere and great food. I had a cheeseburger with guacamole, bacon, onions, and a sriracha mayonnaise with onion rings. Fantastic. The service was friendly and the place has a cool overall ambiance. The Crystal Beer Parlor is a mist stop in Savannah (at least in my opinion). Do not miss this place.

Really a 3.75. Came around 7:50 and they close at 9 (our bad) no reservations so add your name to the list and get a buzzer. Was told it would be around 30 minutes, at 8:30 I asked my partner to check on our place and he was told she scratched our name off the list...why? Our buzzer hadn't been buzzed, name hadn't been called etc. When we were finally seated service was smooth. I got the sweet shrimp with fries and coleslaw. My partner got the burger although it came basically naked the waitress quickly took it back for the correct toppings. Both meals tasted great and I was happy the late dining time didn't affect the quality. Took the peach cobbler to go and it was super warm and yummy. The space is very large with plenty of seating and tables outside to hang while you wait and do expect a wait.

Neighborhood sweetie. The food, the drinks, the bartenders Don't come unless you wanna feel at home &'have a good time

First time here and came as a walk-in party of 2. There was a bit of the wait so we found spots at the bar and had a few drinks and the fried pickles app to start. They were delicious and came out piping hot! Once we got seated I ordered the salmon BLT with a side of mash and my husband got the pastrami sand which with fries. Food came out super quick and the portions were generous. These were some of the best sandwiches we have ever had! Probably will come back while we are still in town!

Here at the Crystal Beer Parlor where we come every time we are in Savannah. It's located in a beautiful neighborhood and very safe. It has its own free parking and near downtown is a plus.

This place is right outside of the beaten path, but so worth the visit. Mainly went for the stuffed crab and it was everything that was raved about in other reviews. (Do be mindful of little shells, but it's worth picking out of your mouth for the amount of lumpy crabmeat, spices, and such.) The fried shrimp were the best we had in Savannah! They were huge and perfectly fried as were the oysters. The service was super friendly and helpful having gone above and beyond to help us find a recipe for Chatham Artillery Punch that had been alluding us for three days! This is a don't miss, but remember your personal capability around the digestion of large amounts of fried foods.

Ask the Community - Crystal Beer Parlor

Are there vegan or gluten free choices?

Yes they do have some vegan options. I understand their vegan burger is good, but I've not had it myself.

    Is there free parking nearby?

Yes, they have a private parking lot, but it's small.

Do you have outdoor that allows dogs?

Yes! Dogs are welcome outside. They even provided water for our Basset Hound.

Do they offer any gluten free beer?

Yes, we do! We have many gluten-free beers. Please go to our website, click on "The Bar" and check out our beer list. The gluten-free beers have a (GF) next to the name of the beer. Cheers!

Can we come by just for dessert and beer?

Absolutely! Try to score a spot at the bar-fun vibe!

    How to make reservations?

Unfortunately, Crystal's does not take reservations

When is happy hour and what are the specials?

Hi, Julie, because of reduced seating in the bar area, we've temporarily suspended Happy Hour. I hope we see y'all soon! Thanks!…

    Is it loud?

There is a bar area as well as dining area. I didn't find it loud.

Do they have a kids menu?

    Yes we do -

Is the fried okra fresh or frozen?

    Fresh when I've been there

How good is food here, good for lunch or dinner or just late at night with a beer?

It's surpriseingly good here. Been twice, and I rarely like to go to places twice on vacations as there's much to explore. I didn't even complain when the family drug me back!

Do you have a trivia night?

We used to, but no longer.

First, the setting is absolutely beautiful. You're dining inside this gorgeous historic pink mansion, and you can feel the history and richness of the energy throughout the space. There is something so special about being there. It feels like an experience before you even get to the food. And speaking of those biscuits, they were genuinely some of the best biscuits I have ever put in my mouth. I could have eaten an entire basket by myself. We started with the goat cheese artichoke fritters, which were delicious. I also had the Low Country she-crab soup, and heavenly is really the only word for it. Rich, creamy, flavorful, just incredible. For dinner, I had the pecan-crusted chicken breast with blackberry bourbon glaze, sweet potato with pecan vanilla butter, and string beans. It was so, so good. Every part of the plate worked beautifully together, and it was exactly the kind of Southern meal I was hoping to have while in Savannah. The service was fantastic, and throughout the evening we heard beautiful live music from some amazing singers. Between the historic setting, the incredible food, the hospitality, and the music, the entire evening felt truly special. Bravo to everyone who works there and makes this place what it is. What an exceptional experience. I genuinely cannot wait to go back.

The service by our waitress Kristen, who was also the sommelier, was top notch. She gave us great wine recommendations for the choices we made. She also gave us a picture of what was on the menu. We ordered the She Crab soup and BLT. The fried green tomatoes sold me on the Pink House's version of a deconstructed BLT. The biscuits are great for dipping not just a snack so be sure you help clean the plate with them. Yum. I ordered the Vidalia onion and Sweet potato ravioli with oyster mushrooms with pecans. It was the best thing between my wife and I. She had the fried flounder with a side of asparagus. Whole fish without the head. I thought the fish was delicious. Paired with the Reisling Kabinett, while the Pinot Noir Argyle went well with the Ravioli. For dessert I had the Pecan Basket. The vanilla with fruit in a pecan weave held the whole dessert together. The raspberry peach sorbet was delicate and sweet. Both desserts hit the spot along with the coffee to finish up the night. The light, tables, paintings and decorations were perfect for a romantic evening with your special someone or dinner with the family to celebrate a special occasion. Whatever the case, this visit capped a great weekend in Savannah and Tybee.

The whole place is designed to feel like the inside of a trailer--spray-painted antique chandeliers, old pictures of different trailer parks, and random little details everywhere. It's kitschy, but very intentional, and honestly pretty cool. We came in late after a 4h drive into town after work, and the staff was still super friendly and accommodating. No "we're about to close" energy, which I appreciated. We started with the creamy collard dip, which is basically their take on spinach-artichoke dip, but with collards. Really good. I do think the chips were a little too heavy for the dip--a thinner chip would've been perfect--but that's a small note. The chicken pancake tacos were probably my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly and still really moist. And at this point, I'm convinced Savannah just knows how to cook chicken. Everywhere we went, the chicken was consistently good. My partner got the grilled apple pie sandwich, which has fried chicken, grilled apples and bacon. He's not even a big pork person, but that bacon was so crispy and the whole combination just worked. Even the waffle fries were good--crispy, fresh and actually seasoned. We had the Grateful Dead and Wicked Kiwi cocktails, plus a couple of shots, and the drinks were strong, good and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't have a ton of notes here. It's not trying to be some elevated dining experience. It's just a really good late-night spot with good food, strong drinks, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside because Savannah in August was not about to have us sitting on anybody's patio. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat late. It was a vibe, the food was good, and it did exactly what it needed to do.

With regard to food, I think they have a decent (not expansive) selection of food, which I think lends itself to quality. They do most things really well. This said, I do think there is inconsistency based on staff at the restaurant. On one occasion they have accommodated a request, and on another I was denied the exact same request. I found this frustrating. On one occasion I've also seen management talk down to staff here, which is a big no no for me. All people (especially staff) are due respect and this rubbed me the wrong way. This was an isolated incident but it definitely made my dining experience uncomfortable. Especially because I was getting excellent service from the server!!! I've always had quality service from servers here. In the future, I would come to Rhett for convenience as a hotel guest (the hotel is lovely), but would likely not spend my money if I wasn't staying at the hotel. Overall- it's good food, decent ambiance... but there are soooo many good options in Savannah. You have to be exceptional to stand out in that city.

She was attentive - even while taking care of what seemed like was the entire bar area. Friendly and knew her stuff. Her cocktails were balanced and though they didn't really pair with my food, I enjoyed them anyway. Food. See pics. Went with deviled eggs, tomato soup and mushroom gnocchi. Simple. Tasty and I'd have them again. Capped the night with a crunch cake (? - don't remember the name) and left feeling great having had a simple, but delicious meal in a lively fun gathering spot. One that I definitely recommend and will be back to on one of my next work visits.

An Incredible Meal, Exceptional Service & the Perfect Soundtrack!…read more Went to dinner recently as a solo. I had heard so much about their short rib and mashed potatoes dish that I had to try it. I requested Rylee as my server. I met her when I had lunch this past year. Rylee is certainly one of the best servers I have ever had. Her recommendations were on point and I cannot say enough about her professionalism, friendly demeanor and menu knowledge. The short rib dish was beyond what I expected and absolutely delicious! Hands down, one of the best meals I have ever had! I also decided to get the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was so yummy! I will definitely be back. Love the atmosphere as well and the bar area is inviting. Wait! I forgot one of the best parts! The music! I am a huge fan of alternative music so being able to enjoy my meal to the sounds of New Order's "Ceremony" and then Depeche Mode while finishing my dessert was the cherry on top of the cake! It really made for an overall incredible experience! Thank you! I will definitely highly recommend your restaurant and look forward to coming back!

The hubby and I got in on a Sunday night without a reservation. Rather than a long wait, we were good with sitting at the bar. Hubby's lemon herb chicken was excellent. I tried it and the roasted semi boneless half chicken was tender and delicious. It was accompanied with garlic fingerling potatoes, charred broccolini in lemon chicken jus. After a long day of travel, I needed good protein so the Collins Burger was a fine choice. It's a double smash, sauce, chopped bacon, and crispy shallots. Cooked well, juicy, and just all around excellent. Had a sip of the hubby's sangria and wow! Probably the best one I've tasted. The vibes here are chic and upscale. In the evening/late dinner hours, it's dark lighting. Service was top notch. They are actually known for their brunch which I would love to try if visiting Savannah again!

What a fantastic brunch experience at The Collins Quarter! From the atmosphere to the service to…read morethe food, this place absolutely delivered. Our server, Sydney H., was fantastic. We were sitting outside with a little sun, and when she noticed a table had opened up in the shade, she proactively asked if we'd like to move. That small gesture said a lot about the level of customer service. She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly patient helping Alison navigate a dietary restriction. And then came the food! I had the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and Alison had the quinoa chicken bowl. Everything came out quickly, the presentation was gorgeous, and the flavors were out of this world. We also tried a couple of mocktails and both were fantastic. I came very close to ordering Leo's Big Brekkie because it looks like a protein lover's dream, but I wasn't quite hungry enough to tackle it. Now I already have something picked out for our next visit! Great atmosphere, wonderful service, beautiful food, and an all-around terrific experience. Five stars really isn't enough. If Google gave me a sixth one, The Collins Quarter would get it! +
