Wow. Great breakfast. First of all the service was great. We were seated right away and every step of the way we never had to wait for our waitress or flag her down. Our coffee cups were always kept full. We were here at 9am on a Tuesday and it was nearly full but they had 5 waitresses on to cover about 20 tables (I.e well staffed). Despite the name of the place being waffles, we went with other breakfast items. I went with the eggs Benedict and they were fantastic. Eggs were perfectly poached and the hash browns were perfectly cooked. Wife went with corned beef hash and that was also cooked perfectly the way she likes it. Portions were perfect. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the food is the best you'll ever have but it is WAY better than most places. I've eaten in some well reviewed restaurants in NYC and this place would be right up there at least in terms of breakfast. They have some outdoor seating too if you'd like a bit quieter setting or would like the fresh air with your breakfast. The decor is very nice - not at all what I expected. (I expected typical old decor like you get at your local diner) Modern yet cozy. All in all this is a great place for a great breakfast. Would definitely recommend and visit again. I could write a book about this place. I went there 3 times in a week. This is a hometown kind of breakfast joint. Very casual and not pretentious at all. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. They treat the customers pretty much like family. The good arrives hot and fresh and very fast. Portions are reasonable, though the hashbrowns are big enough for 2 to share. My favorite dish was the sausage waffle. You may also like the veggie mess, waffle-o-breakfast, or Greek omelette. You will be shocked at how low these prices are for the quality and quantity of food you receive. To get there, look way back in the "bend" of the shopping center. C's occupies the corner suite. When a restaurant has a simple, no-nonsense name like "C's Waffles", and you set your expectations to be ready for a few different varieties of waffles -- maybe, say, cinnamon waffles, bacon waffles, blueberry waffles -- things like that. No, we don't have a fresh remoulade that goes with that, but there's salt and pepper if you need it, buddy. And that's exactly what makes a perfect breakfast. We've been to NSB twice and both times have made an effort to have breakfast here. We've had great service both times (keeping the coffee cups full!). Food is very good - standard diner fare, but good. The hash browns are excellent. Staff have been very accommodating when we've dined with our children. read more

Exactly what you want from your friendly neighborhood diner. Don't be turned off by its shopping center location--this is good homemade food. Pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, hash browns... you probably can't go wrong. I wish they had Coke instead of Pepsi, but water's fine too. I can't believe with all the time I've spent in New Smyrna I hadn't been here until this fall. I'll be back, for sure, especially with such old-school-local-diner-style prices. We came for breakfast on a weekday morning. We waited about 10 minutes for an open indoor table, luckily we got there when we did because the line was growing! The waffles were light, fluffy with a nice gentle crunch. The Bacon was crisp but not burned. The eggs were done properly, not runny or over cooked. The oatmeal was creamy and tastey. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The blueberries and strawberries on the pancakes were a too syrupy, should use fresh fruit! We got there, and the service wasn't too great, but we got seated fairly quick! I got the chocolate chip waffles, and they were GREAT!!! They were nice, and fluffy, and VERY chocolatey! The place was busy on Sunday morning when we arrived. We sat ourselves and were eventually greeted by a server who took our beverage order by memory and then forgot half the drinks when she returned to the table. Half our group didn't have knives to use. The server stated this was because they had not come out of the dishwasher. How do you not have enough silverware for your guests? Food was okay at best. We went on a Monday, holiday weekend and the place was packed. It was a 25 min wait. Once we were seated, our server took very good care of us. She brought us our drinks and keep them refilled while we were there. They have a wide selection of breakfast items. They have something for everyone. Our food came out very quickly. Yummy waffles with a great choice of toppings. Both of us had the waffles- my friend had powdered sugar and I had cinnamon sugar on mine. We have always loved C's Waffles in the past, but stopped in on the Monday after Easter and were super disappointed. Wondering if they changed management, although I asked the server and she told me no. Waffle was served cold the first time, and had to send it back. I asked for butter and it was slathered in gross margarine that looked like Country Crock. Even when they made me a new one it was not in its usual wonderful crispness, but instead was very soft and floppy. The people next to us had to complain because their food took 45 minutes to arrive. Other things were not cooked as ordered, and coffee was not refilled. Can't understand it, usually even when they're busy their service is impeccable and the food is amazing. Hoping this is a one off, and I'll be back to their usual greatness quickly! read more

Lovely little breakfast place with old-school diner vibes and indoor and limited outdoor seating. I came alone and chose to sit at the bar, which has a window to the "behind-the-scenes" (AKA the kitchen lol). Everyone working there was very friendly--I was greeted by multiple people and checked on as well. My server Megan was very sweet and attentive even though it was clearly a very busy time. And the waffles-- delicious! So many varieties--I had the caramel pecan and finished it quite quickly. I'd recommend getting a pecan-combo waffle. TBH I can't speak much for any other of the menu items but they had quite a selection of sweet and savory options. Like I said, it's a little old-school, so the sweet stuff is very sweet (Megan kindly offered to put my whipped cream on the side when I hesitated), there aren't non-dairy options, etc. But I did find plenty options as a dairy- and egg-eating vegetarian. read more

The service was very slow and seemed to not know what they were doing, after being seated, we were asked 3 times if someone was getting our drinks. When our food finally arrived, it was ok. Hash browns were out of a bag, strawberries were from a can, nothing was fresh. I asked for a bottle of hot sauce and it literally had 2 drops left in it, by the time another was brought to me, I had eaten my eggs and hash browns already. Coffee tasted burnt. Being in the service industry, I try to be on the side of small businesses and restaurants, but we will not be returning to this one. read more
