If I could give no stars I would, no idea how the food is because the customer service we received upon entering this establishment was terrible. It was near empty and we were told they could squeeze us in now and how lucky we are.... Once seated the waiter started telling us the specials and my 4 year old daughter being a typical 4 year old asked him for a Shirley temple to which he quickly snapped back at her and gave her an attitude that he needed to finish going over the specials first..... we let him finish and then got up and walked out. That is NOT how you talk to a child. I don't care if the food here is featured on the food network and travel channel I will never come here or recommend this to anyone! read more

We are local (Truro) and have a passion for eating breakfast out. There are a bunch of great spots around but none quite like this. We enjoyed sitting out of the quiet patio with a choice of sun or shade. We ate the Cali omelette and challah bread French toast. Both were tasty and well prepared. It was the home fries that sealed the deal for us. There were lots of other unique dishes on the menu and we look forward to coming back to try more. This is one of those wonderful new restaurants I don't want to review because it will become crowded once word gets out! Beautiful interior and exterior design, light and cozy even on a rainy day. Lovely patios including rooftop! But the food... amazing, fresh, creative, comfort. The fish dishes were outstanding, with subtle blends of flavor and delicious crispy veggies. Portions were generous and prices very reasonable for the Cape. Drinks were yummy and service attentive, just right. Don't miss the bread basket- warm breads and sweet butter. C Shore is a new restaurant in the area, so we decided to try it. We went in for dinner on a Sunday night - they do not accept reservations for parties of less than 6. My wife and I arrived at 6PM and were seated promptly and given our choice of tables - we sat indoors on the upper level. The restaurant was about half full, maybe a bit more. Initially service was excellent. My wife had the beet salad and the lobster lasagna, I had the spring rolls and tuna poke bowl. Our orders were taken quickly and our salad and appetizer were served with a pleasing presentation after a short wait. My wife enjoyed her beet salad, remarking that the yellow beets used were tasty and eye pleasing. The spring rolls were crisp and not oily and served with hoisin sauce. All good so far. The main entrees were served shortly after we finished the salad and appy. Again, presentation was good - see the picture. My wife enjoyed her lobster lasagna, I did not enjoy the tuna poke bowl nearly as much. The dish was spicy hot and this was not mentioned at all in the menu description. While I finished the dish, I did not enjoy it as much as I had hoped for. Worse yet, our server disappeared for the entirety of the main course. No one appeared to check if our entrees were satisfactory, whether we wanted additional drinks or even a refill on water. I had finished my entrée for at least 10 minutes when our server finally reappeared, apologizing for not being attentive, saying that a large party had arrived and that she was tied up with them. Since there were still some empty tables when we left, this didn't seem to be an appropriate explanation. Our server was apologetic, but the slow service took away from our enjoyment of the meal. For the type of menu that is being presented, we expected better service. We would consider returning to C Shore, but we will explore other options as well before doing so. read more

We can't say enough good things about our visit here! We got lucky enough to be some of their first guests and stopped in for breakfast. The food was absolutely fantastic! We ordered a 12 veggie omelet and a traditional breakfast with home fries. Delicious- especially the home fries with onions! We went last night & they were very accommodating for a party of eight which included 4 young children. To get a table immediately, they had to split us up. One adult table & one kids. Our waitress was friendly, attentive & helpful with our kids. We ordered the mac and cheese, sliders (perfect for a little kid) and regular burger. We didn't know they had a small kids menu, chicken fingers or mac and cheese. The waitress took the liberty to give us the kids mac and cheese because the portions are huge at this restaurant. We had the lobster corn bisque to start. It was spectacular, silky, smooth & creamy. It took us a while to get use to the cold corn and lobster with the warm bisque. The bowl was so large that four of us could have eaten it. My husband and I split the beet salad. The golden beets were plentiful and tasty. Our friend had the New England chowder, he said it was one of the best on the Cape. Our entrees were the lobster risotto, C Shore bake & cod special. Every dish was excellent and large. The risotto was perfect and delicious. My husband was raving about the C Shore bake. Even though each of us were stuffed we couldn't stop eating this delicious food. Too bad it was our last evening because I would have come again and again. When we come back to the area, this will be the first place we shall return. read more

Pros: * Went to breakfast at 9:30 on a Tuesday in August and had no wait * Seems that they have lots of tables, inside and out * Food was delicious - I had the Farmer (eggs Benedict with wilted greens) with a side of potatoes and one griddled buttermilk pancake. Yum all around. My husband had the sausage and biscuits and a grilled French toast muffin on the side. He also thought everything was really tasty. Our two-year-old ate bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and whatever else she could scrounge from our plates. She seemed satisfied :) Cons: * The service, while friendly, was slow. It didn't take an unreasonably long time to get our food, but our waitress was hard to track down and it took a long time to get our check and pay. * The beverages - my husband ordered a "mocha" for $3 which turned out to be brewed coffee with Hershey's syrup (according to our waitress) and milk on the side. So, coffee with chocolate syrup. I ordered a cold brew for $4 that I'm not convinced was not just regular iced coffee (which didn't appear to be an option on the menu) Anyway, I would recommend this spot for a really good breakfast with the caveat that they are new (especially to breakfast service) and still working out the kinks. Last night was our first time going to C Shore after it was recommended to us by some Eastham Facebook members. We really enjoyed it here. It makes such a difference when better quality ingredients are used. We started with the bread sampler that had corn bread, biscuits, and fritters. It was all good. We also had a cup of chowder. It is not a traditional, creamy chowder. It had a very strong bacon flavor and not sure we found any clams. But my husband liked it a lot...me, not so much. I ordered the chicken burrata and it came with a huge portion of fresh mixed veggies that were done perfectly. The chicken was also very tasty. My husband ordered the BBQ steak tips that came with potatoes, corn bread and watermelon. He loved it. So, yes the food was very good and we can't wait to try it again. The service was also very good. The only thing I didn't care for was that we were seated in a basement area that had zero atmosphere and I had to face a blank wall. Next time, we will know to ask to be seated elsewhere. No big deal! They also have a beautiful outdoor seating area with heaters and a fire pit where you can take your wine and enjoy the fire. This is a new place and I recommend you giving it a try! read more

We had wonderful dinner, the food was amazing! The hostess, Kendra, is wonderful. There wa an extremely difficult party before us. Kendra handled them with tact, and was much kinder than they deserved. The party said hey were "Yelpers" in an attempt to intimidate her and to demand a better table. As always, our food was superb, the wait staff was wonderful. They are efficient and not overbearing. We loved the crispy artichoke appetizer. They have fire pit and great lighting. The food is so good. We had appetizers, dinner and desert. Food is exceptional. Its very evident the thought that goes into each menu item but also the execution. The wings are slow cooked before being fried which makes then super tender and crunchy--best wings we've ever had. Lobster bisque was good, lobster pizza also good. Our mojitos didn't disappoint. One of our favorites on the Cape. The menu is imaginative and actually changes (a rarity on the Cape). The food is wonderful, from the casual pizza available at the bar or for take out, to the wonderful seasonal menu in the restaurant. We had great quesadillas the other evening, not grilled flat, but filled with fresh delicious herbs, cheeses and chicken. Have had many a wonderful meal and intend to return. It is one of the few restaurants open year round as well, which is a super bonus! read more

What a fantastic meal! Everything was great- the ambience, drinks, and food alike. We were seated outside on the patio. They have a bar and fire pits out there as well as a rooftop deck. The heaters made for the perfect temperature on a cool late summer night. The drinks were good. For meals we had the chicken burrata and mako shark tips special. We also had a side of corn bread. After some deliberation in our group, we decided to check out CShore as none of us had ever been before. It was a quick wait for a table, which was better than expected seeing as it was a Friday and we had no reservation. The menus, both bar and food, were eclectic and extensive with a unique cape cod-esque flare. I ordered a "mini" macaroni and cheese and it's was giant and delicious. For an entree I got a crab burger which came with the most delicious aioli! I totally recommend both of these items. Our table also ordered hush puppies, which were also amazing. I worked in the restaurant biz for a good portion of my 20's and 30's. I also love to cook, so when I eat out and can make the same thing at home better, a LOT better, it's very frustrating. We were so excited to come here on our last night on the Cape and by the reviews, which are really great, we thought "perfect". We arrived ​a little before 8 pm with our party of 4, my husband and two teen boys. We were quoted​ a wait time of 20 - 30 minutes, were approached at the 25 marks​ about a table outside. I declined after being shown the table, which​ was away from the fire pit area. It was a picnic table in the dark by an outside bar with no lights whatsoever​. The hostess was super sweet about a table inside and sat us about 5 minutes later. Cool! My husband and I ordered the Kolsch beers and our kids ordered a diet coke and ginger ale. The beers were flat and the ginger ale turned out to be ginger beer. I would have sent back the beers and ginger beer but our server just kept running by to attend to other tables on the outside upstairs patio. The bread​ was​ eventually brought by a bus person (?) and it was the highlight of the meal. ​Seriously​. Finally, it's close to 9 and we ordered. We should have told our server earlier that we were going to a 9:45 movie ahead of time (our bad) because the food was taking forever. By 9:15 he dropped our orders (one Lobster Risotto, Chicken Burrata, Burger with Pork Belly and Steak Tips). My chicken was so overcooked​ it tasted burnt and the promised capers added up to 3. My husband's​ risotto was so way too salty, the burger was meh and the fries that my other son ordered never showed up. Oh, and when our server asked if I wanted something aside from the chicken, I said, "which is quicker? A medium rare plain burger or a poke bowl, he looked at me confused and said "I don't know". Here's the right response if you "don't know"..."I'm not sure but I'll find out immediately". We finally decided to get the check, the movie was now out of the question and I was annoyed. Not so much by the food being mediocre, but the lack of service we received​. Not rude. Just indifferent. Never offered to refill our waters, even when asked, and didn't seem bothered that we were running extremely late. As we were walking out I told my husband and kids to head to the car and I'd meet them there. I asked the hostess politely if I could speak to the manager, who is one of the two owners. I told her the story, she asked who the server was, I showed her his name on the bill ($117 plus 18% tip.....I normally start at 25% and go higher if the service is great. I don't know if restaurants​ pool so I don't want to shirk anyone else. But I was not going to give him 20%). Long story short, she smiled, apologized and said "well, there's really nothing I can do. Sorry. If it wasn't your last night, I would invite​ you back but since it is, oh well. But when you come to the Wellfleet again, let us know and we can take care of you then". Ok..that's something, however,​ I said "honestly, I'm not going to be one of those people who a year later remind you of a negative experience so I can get a comped meal", and she said "why not? People do that all the time!" and laughed like that was hilarious! Anyway, maybe we just had an off night with the wrong server, ordered the wrong dishes because we're clearly not in the majority. I really wanted to love this place. It's got a great outdoor patio and fire pit, and inside is decorated in wood and cool beach tones. The food was great - hush puppies were amazing, onion rings were delicious, and my friend's Mac and cheese was yummy. Cocktails were good as well. The young lady refilling water glasses made sure we were hydrated. The reason I'm only giving 3 stars is the service. Our waiter (Silvio? I honestly don't remember his name) walked up to our table wearing a shirt that was either a couple sizes too small or a women's fit. It just looked silly. He was very friendly at first - took our drink orders and brought them back along with a joke. Next, we ordered our food. We were planning on sharing the hush puppies and my friend ordered the Mini Mac with steak tips. I knew I'd end up finishing her meal so I ordered the Whim. He said that it wouldn't fill me up as it's just a small sampler. I said "That's okay, that's all I want" but he kept telling me it wasn't enough to get filled up, so I ordered onion rings. Someone else brought our hush puppies out. When we had finished them, we waited for someone to take the plate away, which never happened. Our waiter walked by numerous times and ignored us as well as our empty drink glasses. The waitresses brought our meals out and set them down in front of us without removing the appetizer plate. (There was no question as to whether we were done; the plate was empty.) I ended up putting it on the clean table next to ours. My friend's Mac and cheese with steak tips came out with two pieces of steak (not cut into pieces as steak tips normally are) without a knife. When our waiter breezed by, she got his attention and asked him for a steak knife. He said he'd bring it along with drink refills (long after we had resorted to drinking water). When we said no thank you, he didn't bother asking if we wanted something else to drink. He never did bring the knife, so she ended up using her butter knife. I finished my plate and the remainder of my friend's mac and cheese and left about half of the onion rings that I didn't want to order in the first place (they were good but unnecessary). We sat there while our waiter took care of three tables around us and when we finally flagged him down for the check, he said he would bring us the dessert menu. When we told him we weren't interested in dessert, he put his hand to his chest, feigning horror. He brought us the check and then it took another ten minutes for him to pick it up. We are really not sure why we were treated this way. We're friendly, don't make special requests, and tip well. I hate to say this, but the only thing we can think of is that he doesn't like fat people, because he was very attentive to his other tables. read more

We had not expected to be in Wellfleet but found ourselves hungry and my girlfriend suggested this restaurant. We could not be more happy, right from the friendly greeting. We were able to sit at a table top at the bar and it was the best spot to be. They had an amazing menu and everything we had was delicious but the best part was the service from Donna and Brandon. Such an amazing staff that they are the type of people that make you want to come back. Donna was also helpful with helping us decide our way through the menu Brandon so eager and enthusiastic to make us some really delicious espresso martinis and other drinks is a rarity in bartenders today, it's a craft that isn't mastered anymore. Seriously these two employees were amazing. Its Not often that when you leave place that I'm just having dinner that you feel like you're leaving old friends. Thank you for a great non-planned dinner we will definitely be back next time we're down that way. read more

Nice new restaurant in Eastham. The atmosphere is very cape cod chill and the food is very good. The crispy artichoke's were a great app and very nice fish stew. We eat here regularly. Had a reservation for 4. We were asked to wait upon our timely arrival. No problem given current staffing shortages, so we were seated 1/2 hour late. Cocktails, appetizers, meal, wine with meal, we ran up a pretty good check. The new, rude, inconsiderate manager swung by with a big smile to tell us we had to leave because they had another reservation for this table? Our service person was embarrassed and shocked by her manager's ignorance. We live here and make it a point to eat locally and tip the hardworking service people well. I will not return to this place until this manager is gone. No more referrals for visiting guests, and a 1 star rating for anyone who asks me about this place. read more

I was truly excited to try this place. However, when we went into see the hostess and asked to be seated outside because of our tiny dog we had with us the hostess said there were no dogs allowed. We drove all the way from Quincy MA to show a family member visiting from Europe, Cape Cod, and thought this place would be a lovely, welcoming place but we clearly thought wrong. I asked to speak with the manager, who happened to be the owner, because I couldn't understand why we wouldn't be allowed to sit on a picnic table outside. While the hostess stood there rudely clicking her pen and the owner stared at his phone while I was speaking to him he said he refused to serve us because of a bad experience with another dog. He was exceptionally rude and unapologetic about not being able to serve us and couldn't care less about how poor of an experience this was. TERRIBLE AND DISAPPOINTED. read more

I love the Chef's whim and little taste of a few things he puts together on his daily beach walk! What could be more charming. Waitress had no personality and told us once our food would be out soon the she was MIA and never said a word to us until after the check. The nicest person there was the bus boy. We sat on the roof deck and thought they forgot about us. I called the front desk while In the restaurant to ask where our food was due to the missing waitress. Talked to the manager and she was non apologetic. The busboy tracked down our food and brought it up to us. He was the only person who cared and was very apologetic. read more

Where to begin. I'm actually not sure. I'm torn. The food was relatively solid. The issue really was the service situation that unfolded quickly after our arrival. We reserved a high top table for 5:30 and after navigating a rather serious accident on rt 6 we arrived at 5:33. We were greeted with some degree of hesitation and quickly escorted to a table on the outdoor patio. While this was lovely our table reservation was decidedly for a table inside of the restaurant, but we did not complain as it was lovely. After placing Our order the thunder began. We asked if it was going to rain what the plan for seating would be. Could we move inside? Perhaps under the tent? We were informed that all tables inside and out were reserved and there was no plan. Odd. By the time our food arrived the rain and thunder was rather intense and we were worried about the kids. We asked to have to food packed to go and we left. The overwhelming sense was that we were not wanted and the staff could not be bothered. I understand the demands of their work, but there was no real effort to help on their part. I wasn't looking for great pizza on the cape,I was just looking for a bite of pizza on a nite we wanted to stay in.This is no exaggeration on how bad the pizza was!!It was wet and soggy,I cant even say there was a bottom to the pizza it was so wed and soggy.The crust was the same,barely crunchy and just uncooked dough even tho it was fully cooked. The "red sauce" tasted like ketchup with cinnamon or some kind of warm spice with a dot of sour,not sure how this is possible or what it was but it was beyond gross!!The toppings and the the cheese were just as bad. We tried to eat it (We were hungry) but it went straight to the garbage!!The Angry hot chicken wings were just as bad, lets just start with they weren't hot wings, they were wings,boiled?maybe boiled then baked? topped with BBQ sauce, yes the Angry hot wings are tossed in BBQ sauce.The the skin was chewy like gum and you couldn't eat it...Super Gross. DO NOT GET TAKEOUT PIZZA OR WINGS FROM HERE!!! Management:Do not message me about how sorry you are about my experience and how you want to make it up to me.
