Delicious! We found ourselves in Key West for half a day as a cruise ship port of call on the way to the Bahamas. Tired and thirsty after a 30 minute walk in the summer, we decided to stop by for a pick me up with some Cuban coffee. The Yelp reviews looked great so we gave it a shot. Overrated? Not at all! Coffee was strong and amazing, cafe was spacious and clean (the air conditioning was a life saver), and staff was nice. If you're in the area wanting some good Cuban coffee, look no further. There are several Cuban Coffee Queen locations scattered throughout Key West. Enjoy!

In Key West and seen this place from a TikTok video! A cute little coffee stand that sells food and coffee! I got the vanilla iced coffee and my boyfriend got the chocolate mocha. it was yummy and very light tasting not overly sweet. It didn't come with a million ice cubes either so that was a plus! The service is very quick and the staff is nice. I would definitely come back and try the food next time!

What an amazing coffee spot! We did not try the food so I can't speak to that, but the coffee and smoothie was exceptional! The location is cute and shaded with lots of tables to sit at. Service was friendly and quick, despite the fact they were nearing closing. I like that there were beans for sale as well as other merchandise! The coffee is STRONG but very tasty and brewed perfect. A must go in Key West!

A few of us took a break from walking along Duval to get a couple of beverages, one hot mocha latte and one cold iced coffee. Both were good. The shop is located down a small alley, away from Duval, which makes it a great spot for relaxing. The service was friendly and efficient. Next to the coffee shop is their roasting operation. They have a large roaster on display, and you can buy bags of their most popular beans. There's also plenty of merchandise available if you're looking for something for yourself or a gift. Definitely a place I'd return to, especially to explore more of their coffee and freshly roasted beans.

When in South Florida it is a must to try Cuban coffee and food! There are a ton of places to choose from but personally we love a good mom and pop shop. This coffee spot is a must try in our book!! My husband and I went here before catching the ferry to travel to Dry Tortugas. We got there pretty early in the morning so we easily walked up and ordered but shortly after we arrived a line formed. It's just a little walk up window that has an array of items including coffee, smoothies, and Cuban food. They had a great deal which we got which was 1/2 of a Cuban breakfast sandwich and a coffee for I think $10. The sandwhich was delicious and the coffee was fantastic! We even went back to get a bag of coffee beans to go. The area around this little walk up cafe is very cute. It's close to the water. There are public restrooms about 15 feet away which I was shocked with how clean they were. It's the typical key west feel so there are tons of chickens roaming around. Also, there is a fun key west sign right around the shop that is a great photo opt.

Cuban Coffee Queen is a must try when you're in Key West. I stopped here during a bike ride for a colada and a smoothie and it hit the spot. I tried their "Re-hydrater" which mango, strawberries, orange juice, and pineapple juice, it was exactly what I needed. Super refreshing, hydrating, and not overly sweet. Perfect stop to cool down and recharge.

Found this place from a video of reccomended places to go. Definitely popular. For us it was average. Breakfast sandwich with chorizo. Was chorizo links not ground which wasnt what I was expecting more smoky than i anticipated. Tried the ice coffee with mocha which was good. Husband had the cortidito, probably sounds silly but he said he preferred a starbucks cortado. So just not for us but was very busy so others like it here.

This place is good with food and coffee but in my opinion its not true cuban coffee. Service was ok more of a chain restaurant/coffee shop nothing to brag about. I got cuban breakfast burritos and a cortadito, burrito was under seasoned and the coffee had too much milk, ask for it to be changed and they prepared it the same. Looks like they have a specific measurement for the drinks. Overall this place was ok, alot of tourists (me being one lol) but I have drank ALOT of cuban coffee and unfortunately this was not it. Nice place and all and great marketing but I guess I was expecting more. Its nice to sit down and see the chickens eat next to you just not jumping on top of you to eat your breakfast. Just a suggestion dont feed the chickens. Other than that glad I tried it. Thanks

This one gets a five star for the coffee (con leche) and the super yummy Cuban bread. It is fair to say in Yelp terms that vegetarians go nuts on this place. We went for lunch. Breakfast is served all day. That's good! Because we wanted to try their Cuban bread with guava cream cheese. That was yummy too. We had the Havana rice and beans with fried eggs sandwich. It was good too. Apart from these, they have some more selection of items for the vegetarians - The veggie burger and some other sandwiches. We will definitely pick another cup of their awesome Cuban coffee. Also, five stars for the Batista. read more

Love their food. They even deliver. To your hotel if you're staying locally. The delivery time was impressive as well. I'm from Miami, so Cuban food is abundant but I must say their food was authentic and they add their own twist. Gotta try the fritas! This place is great for locals and tourists alike. read more

We wish we found this place sooner! We wanted a quick meal on our last night in key west and after a quick scan through yelp decided on The Cuban Coffee Queen. We saw that they had pork, rice and beans on the menu and we were sold. When we arrived we found out it was happy hour. Meaning that they have a few food items discounted, including the pork, rice and beans. Awesome. So we ordered that and a chicken salad sandwich on Cuban bread. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. It's a small outdoor half coffee shop half quick service food spot. We were pleasantly surprised by everything we got. The pork was delicious, rice and beans were everything we had hoped for and my chicken salad was also yummy. The pork plate was huge and was on special for $5. .. amazing. My chicken salad had mango chunks in it and let's face it, cuban bread makes a sandwich 100 times better. After our dinner we decided to get a iced cafe con leche to go. HOLY CRAP... best coffee I have ever had. They make their iced cubes out of coffee so that your coffee never gets watered down! I loved it so much we got up extra early to make it here one more time before we left key west. Best coffee I have ever had ...ever! Go here! read more

Our favorite place to go for coffee and breakfast in key west. The cafe con Leche is the best on the island. The Key Wester breakfast sandwich is amazing and shareable. There is always chickens and even a rooster nearby. From the picnic tables, covered patios with fans, and lines of people ordering, it's a Key West must do! read more

One of the best places for smoothies, coffee or a quick bite. Their Cuban mocha Frappe is divine! My friends and I have tried their bagels, sandwiches , veggie burger and their Havana rice and everything was delicious! Highly recommended for people looking for vegetarian options as well. read more

I got the iced coffee (cafe con leche) with an extra shot (2 total) and sweetened. 2 shots was a little weak and the milk really "watered" it down. Love the coffee infused ice cubes!! Next time I will have them add another shot (total of 3) to give the drink a stronger coffee taste. I'm sure I just have a tolerance so 3 shots may be too much for some people. The Cuban "grilled cheese" is very good and simple as well. read more

Very disappointed! We went here three days in a row around the holidays last year and loved it! We went back this week and was very disappointed. There was a male working that was extremely rude. We got a Cuban bagel that felt like it wasn't fresh and the bread was a little dry. We still decided to give it another try the next day and the cafe con leche was fantastic but again the Cuban bagel was not as good as last year. This place was 5 plus stars a year ago so I hope they get back to that status. read more

So i have been sampling the Cubans of Key Weat. This is the second best so far. Sandy's is better. The Cuban coffee queen is good, however their bread isn't quite there, and it's missing the proper Mayo, mustard and pickle ratio. The meat in this, however, is delicious. read more

Coming from Miami, I was excited to find this place but was disappointed in the food. We ordered the Havana rice and beans and the rice was cold, the beans are not authentic Cuban flavor and the beef was kinda dry and just ok. His place is not directly on Duval Street but it is worth the visit, especially if you like coffee. Look for the sandwich board on Duval and hook a right. The gentleman that served use was great. Bruce had a great sense of humor and knew exactly what I was looking for in coffee. I got 4 shots of expresso over ice, no cream, very little sugar; yum. Definitely take the detour to this spot if you like coffee. read more

Keep your expectations very low. This place is good for strong coffee and buttered bread but not much else. The counter pickup presentation was ghastly. My rice and beans were stone cold. I don't think they have a stove, probably only microwaving everything. No plantains, only chips. Cuban food is fabulous, this is not the place to experience it. read more

Oh my goodness! The Cuban Mix was AMAAAAAZE. My. Husband had the Caliente, which I sampled and loved, also. Yummy! Everyone was ordering coffee. I didn't have a chance to, but I bought some beans to take home and test out in my espresso maker. Can't wait! The smell of the bean coming from the roasting house next door was killer. I prefer this location to the original. It's tucked away in the courtyard between two buildings. The coffee is always excellent. Breakfast sandwiches are yum but not even remotely healthy. Which is okay if you are on vacation though harder to justify if you live here. :) They are also large so consider splitting one. They have wifi, or did when I was there. The service can be a bit slow so be patient. It's Key West, rushing will get you nowhere here. No car parking other than general street parking, but plenty of bike racks. Long picnic tables make it a good choice for a large group that wants to eat on the cheap. read more

visited CCQ twice on my last visit to Key West and both times, the order was wrong. First day, I got an American coffee instead of a Cuban and 2nd time, got (and paid for) 3 coffees when we only ordered 2 (one came with and one without sugar) It is pretty evident from its Yelp Rating and hanging out in front of it for a minute or two that the place caters largely to tourists. Do a little exploring and in my opinion, you can find better coffee and sandwiches on the island. read more

I would not say the 2 high school girls behind the counter were Cuban coffee queens. Maybe queens of socializing with the 2 young men that came to sit with them at the counter. Needless to say, our order was forgotten. When we reminded them that we still had not received our order, one girl said, "My bad! Sorry!", laughed, then got our order wrong. The coffee was a nice pick me up, but definitely better coffee from other places. The Cuban dessert (cinnamon, sugar, Cuban toast) was hurriedly and haphazardly put together. The cinnamon and sugar was only on the direct center of the bread. Not a delightful experience, and would not recommend this particular location. Maybe you'll have a better experience at the Margaret Street location. read more

Tucked into a side street sits tiny little kiosk inside a tented pavilion, Cuban Coffee Queen could easily be missed if you weren't looking for it. Ceiling and stationary fans spin constantly trying and failing keep the area cool from the suffocating humidity. After spending about an hour walking around in the midway sun, this stop was a necessary reprieve. The prices are moderate, not too expensive, and the iced coffees were made quickly. Their iced coffee was delicious and refreshing. I gulped it down too quickly and wish I had another. The only major negative is that despite having a bunch of tables and seats on the pavilion this is not a place I would stop to have my coffee. Even with fans it's still too hot to just sit around. Grab the coffee and go. read more

The coffee is delicious and the food not bad but the workers seemed easily annoyed, I ordered a sandwich and wanted chicken, the guy thought I said pork and when I said I wanted chicken he said well it's already made, so I took the pork and had to pay for another sandwich to get chicken, except this time my side was not plantain chips or fruit like it states it comes with but a dumb dumb pop, which is not mentioned as a side, I believe it was rude and condescending because he was annoyed, hire friendlier staff please. read more

We're located conveniently near the historic Key West Seaport. We love doing business out of our little coffee shop. We're so honored to have become the place where locals and visitors alike make sure to stop. Thanks for all the continued support!

Love the mural on the side and there are lots of roosters hanging around begging for some of your leftovers.

I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service provided by Cuban Coffee Queen. After placing a delivery order online, I received a phone call informing me that they don't offer delivery after 3:00 p.m. and I should pick up my order instead. Firstly, there was no indication during the online ordering process that deliveries weren't available after 3:00 p.m. When I requested the girl to cancel the order and refund my credit card, she responded that she didn't know how to do it. Subsequently, I asked to speak with the manager, but there was no manager available. Despite calling back the same day, the day after, and even a week later, I have yet to receive my refund. It has now been two weeks with no refund and no callback from anyone regarding my refund request. read more

Well, I came to Florida with high hopes for a top-notch Cuban sandwich. But I've gotta be honest, the ones I've had so far haven't exactly bowled me over. Maybe I set the bar too high, or maybe a Cuban sandwich is just a Cuban sandwich - not sure how you'd jazz it up. And a word to the wise, if you grab a sandwich here, eat it right there and then. I made the rookie mistake of walking home for 20 minutes with mine and it wasn't the best idea... But hey, it wasn't all bad news. The coffee here? That was pretty good. I was really excited to try this coffee after seeing so many positive reviews online. However, the cafe con leche was mediocre and watered down. The smoothie we got was also not great. I think there are definitely better places to get Cuban coffee on the island. The service also left much to be desired. Overall, I don't think I'll be back. read more

Best cofee in town for a reason and the sandwhiches are some of the best in town too. be prepared to stand in the line bercause it can get long at times. I would say to try the cafe con leche with raw sugar is the best choice by far. they have good sandwhiches too I wish they had plantain chips though, that would be nice. read more

Amazing coffee! We got the iced coffee with caramel and it was delicious. The ice cubes are made with coffee so your drink doesn't get watered down as it melts in this heat. The staff were super efficient and drinks were made to perfection in no time. Definitely will be back! read more
