My favorite burger spot to go to fresh to order and always on point , the curds are extremely good and a must have no matter what you order. The staff is very unprofessional. Always have an attitude when I go. I supported because it's black owned and finally had more options to eat in the area. One older lady there seems like she means well but approaches things all wrong by snatching receipts out your hand to prove she is right about something I ordered. On top of that she was getting loud in front of my son after I politely said I can't wait for the order to be redone. I really try to keep supporting but it's sad we finally get a Culver's in the area and the service is no where near the other locations I've been. Ok so this is my 3rd update, I rarely modify yelp reviews. I thought this location was getting better with customer service. They have failed on some basic level at least 4 of that last 6 times. This time they spaced on bringing our order to the car at drive through, although someone did come out to deliver the shake after about 10mins and even asked if that was all we were waiting for... we said no. After another few mins we figured they must have forgotten about us. After we went inside and discovered the ordered had been skipped, there was no apologies or accepting of fault. Since the location has open me and my husband has always had a pleasant experience. However, this evening my husband called in and the young lady answering the phone kept hanging up on him. So the last time he called and this rude associate answered the phone she threatened to kill him if he kept calling and other associates were laughing in the background. The new Culver's in Bronzeville is in my neighborhood which means I don't have to travel far. I've been there twice already and each time the food is delicious. I always dine-in and the atmosphere has been pleasant. The workers have always been friendly (to my surprise). I must admit it is pricey. So you can expect to be sticker shocked if you one that likes value meals. The lot can get full and you may get blocked by the drive thru cars. I always park on the side street which is hassle free and I can get a few steps in. read more

I was instructed to this place recently. First visit I got to try their concrete mixer. The employee here, at least at this visit, was fair in customer service. Usually at fast food places, you can sense or feel that the employees don't want to be there, but I didn't get that feeling. I never been to a fast food resturant that brought food to the customer and I thought it was awesome service. The first time around, I had ordered the vanilla concrete mixer with oreo. I was not disappointed. The recent visit, I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, it was delicious. I had it to-go and even when I took it home and waited some time before eating it; it was still tasty. When ordering the sandwich, they did ask if tomatoes and pickles were okay which I thought is always great for restaurants to do that. I think it helps the customer to have a better experience of their food. The chicken patty was a good size (it had a larger surface area than the buns and had a good thickness too). The lettuce was meh. They only gave me one tomatoes and I wasn't sure about the pickles, but the pickles were very tasty! A concrete mixer in the hot summer days would be a must. Careful though, it may melt fast even though it comes out thick. I almost couldn't even take out my spoon at first! read more

I have been to this Culver's three times. I am trying to say I love, but I cannot. I do not hate it. But, I am just not overwhelmed. With all of the hype, I was waiting for Culver's to blow me away. It did not. Nothing I had really rocked me. What I had was fine but I guess I was expecting more. I am glad we have this new addition to the neighborhood. I went to Culver's yesterday and attempted to redeem the coupon they emailed me. The cashier refused to accept the coupon because it was on my phone. She stated that Culver's only accepted paper coupons even though the coupon itself says "print or present on your mobile device". I guess I'll save a tree and use my coupons at the other area Culver's that have joined the 21st Century and accept coupons presented on mobile phones. This Culvers is the first in Chicago and yay-on the south side!! Clean, great service and the owner takes pride in everyone enjoying their food! I'm married to a Wisconsin native and they are serious about their Culvers so you know we'll be back and often! Food was just as good as the one we go to in Madison! Only thing I would add would be a button on the pop machine for soda water :). Great work keep it up!!! read more

Just visited Culver's yummy double cheeseburger deluxe however the experience did not get 4 stars because the menu pricing is very deceptive the double deluxe cheeseburger cost was 9.09 which when I ordered was asked would I like the value basket. I asked how much for that and she said 9.09. I said fine...got my order no fries and no drink when I approached the counter I had receipt in hand and was told "she didn't charge you for that...the bill is not itemized individually only shows and total...I ate my meal and on the way out asked the manager is the price correct for dbl deluxe he looked at my bill and asked did I tell her value basket. No the point is shouldn't he have known by looking at my bill if I ordered it or not with a response " no you weren't charged for that" instead of asking me.. my point is WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR A VALUE BASKET! Seems that there should be a price listed so you can decide if it's a good value... or don't offer without stating the price. Maybe next visit they'll get it right. I will go back but trust me get a clear answer as to price with and without value basket!!!! read more

I'm really torn about this place. I'm a Wisconsin native and Culver's is the bomb dot com in WI & the Chicago suburbs. It's a great addition to the neighborhood but god is the food weak. I've been here 3 times since it opened and each time my order was incorrect. Mind you this was for walk in to go orders. Simple burger orders were wrong each time. The sandwiches were cold and bland. The fries are ok. My custard Sunday's were the only thing they got right each time(thus 2 stars). The kids working there are trying but they really need more training and managerial training & structure. Five Guys is head and shoulders better than this location at this point in time. They also are on Uber Eats so I can get a fresh hot delivery in 30 minutes! The orders are always correct, hot, taste fantastic, and don't require me to venture out into the sea of chaos that is the interior of Culver's. The drive thru is even worse I'm sure. It's been 12-15 cars deep every time I've gone there:(I realize this place is relatively new but this location is far below Culver's standard at other locations in the metro area. If these guys don't get it together by summertime, I fear they may not be there for long. That would be a real shame read more

This was my first time trying Culvers. Where do I start. When I arrived I could already see, who ever designed the plan for the location did not take in mind long lines in the driver thru. So of course when there is a long line, parking spaces are blocked and not accessible, which also means when you try and get out, you will not be able to. I went inside and at seemed a bit chaotic at first, but I assumed it was just because they were busy. I placed my order and waited and waited and waited. Finally after about 20 minutes they called my number. Event the cashier, Janice came to me and said "they still have not given you your order?" I replied no of course and she got right on and told me the it was on the way. Then when I got my order I was missing my concrete heath ice cream. So I waited another 10 mins for that until I asked Janice to speak with a manager. I had been there way too long and was hungry and ready to go. Mind you, other people that came after me was getting their orders and being on their way. One the Manager, Armer Kendrick came over he took a look at the receipt and saw that I had been there for quite some time. He personally took care of the issue and fixed it for me. He said the reason it took so long was because they ran out of Heath on the line. I told him, if they would have told me I would have chosen something else so I didn't have to wait for them to refill or who ever is in charge of that station should have made sure that it stayed stocked. With that being said, I appreciate Janice and Armer both for helping me out regardless of the wait time and they were both very courteous and apologetic. Now they could have been nice to not charge me for the ice cream, but its not big deal. I got all I ordered and it all was delicious. Would I go back, yes. Next experience might be different. I am at culvers I got off work at 4 o'clock I got here at 4:15 I was number 168 why am I still at culvers they mess up the order I had to go inside nothing in there but children working laughing and cussing while making food...they are having round house conversations and not putting out the food in a timely matter!! It now 4:54 I have to go in for third time to get my order at this point the manager had to bag up the food and tell the children in the back to stop talking and put the up so it could go out.!!!!!! And by the way I asked for a smoothie cooler the girl kept bringing me all a regular smoothie without the lemon ice the manager asked her who trained you on how to do that this child brought me out three drinks of the same wrong way made. if this what they mean by support black businesses then support them,just not this one!!!! This sign that says don't destroy our black business ...How about don't destroy our food and our drinks and waste our time... Finally got the chance to visit Culver's. Ordered the fish sandwich with a large order of fries. Total cost - $11 and some change. The fish sandwich was okay and let's face it, fries are fries. I found it to be a little pricey for the quality of the product. But, I'm glad I did pay them a visit. read more

This is somewhat delayed, but I want to share my positive experience with this Culver's. I was with my teen son on a whim while driving through the neighborhood (a couple of months ago). The staff was friendly/efficient, the place was clean and the food was as good as at any Culver's I've been to (and that means a lot since I've been to dozens). What really made the experience great was the fact that there was some kind of "Music/DJ Dance Night" and it was so cool! Everyone was so friendly and and the atmosphere was really fun. A lady invited my son to dance, so he did. I danced, too! It was a real family-friendly event and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves, being friendly to strangers (inviting them to dance, conversing, smiling), enjoying the fun atmosphere, dancing, etc. We went for a quick bite and ended up having a blast at a friendly, inviting, open-to-everybody dance party.
