This location just added the dine-in service. Tables were marked for seating and social distancing. The interior decor has been updated. Looks fresh and clean, especially the fountain drinks area. The tiled floors have been replaced. The floors are no longer sticky. (Great use of their time during COVID to upgrade the interior from seating to fountain drinks area). The service and the server was great. The server placed a "cleaning card" on the table to ensure no customers sit at the table until they've cleaned it. Condiments came in small packaging to ensure cleanliness and health safety. Food was great, as usual.

We were greeted with Welcome to Culvers as we entered the restaurant. I ordered the fish sandwich and cheese curds. My guest ordered the sour dough melt and fries. My tip is to order the Culvers Rootbeer, it was tasty!

Judging to the standard of other Culver's this one is tops. Usually great flavor of the day choices as well.

LICK IT UP This ice…read morecream parlor in downtown Downers Grove appeals to all generations. The cleverly-named Every Day's A Sundae has a home just north of the train tracks on Main St between Gia Mia & Sushi House. There's another location in downtown Hinsdale, also near a BNSF train station. Commuters on the Metra must love getting ice cream after work. Inside, there's seating for 15-20 people plus a couple benches outside. They stock Sherman's ice cream, a beloved place based out of South Haven, Michigan that I've been to several times (I can attest that it's the real deal and not an impostor). They have frozen bananas and icees in addition to over 40 flavors of hard scooped ice cream. I got a single scoop of the "chocomania" ($4) and it was great. Our 4yo loved his simple yet satisfying vanilla cone w/sprinkles ($5) and our toddler enjoyed a few spoonfuls of my wife's birthday cake cone ($4). The young staff were good about free samples and kept a brave face despite a gaggle of screaming kiddos. * TL;DR * You better finish that thing before it melts! If you haven't yet gone out for an ice cream cone so far this season (or dish, I don't judge), what are you doing with your life?? It's been sweltering for weeks, but a double scoop of Mackinac Island Fudge or Traverse City Cherry can properly cool things down. Young kids -- and the young at heart -- flock to Every Day's A Sundae when the weather gets hot, so expect a crowd and/or wait on evenings between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Prices are reasonable and there's lots of flavors to pick from, so swing on by before summer's gone!

Value of the scoops is there! A scoop is $3.75, and there are some 35 or more flavors to choose…read morefrom. French silk was a hit! Can't say I've found that flavor anywhere else. The staff was friendly, and they get their ice cream from somewhere in Michigan. Overall, we enjoyed experiencing this novel ice cream place while in the area for a trampoline play date.

I even drove to the Algonquin location 10+ years ago and it didn't last long there. This is the only IL location left. Nevertheless, I will make the drive every once in a while to Downer's Grove just for See's. I've never been disappointed in any of the chocolates, and they are always fresh. The associates are always very kind and typically offer a free sample. Some of the milk chocolates can be on the sweet side, so I really like the dark chocolate options. The caramel varieties are very good - the butterchews are good and I especially like the scotchmallow, which is caramel and marshmallow. One of my all-time favorites is the butterscotch square. It's a very sweet brown sugar and vanilla forward soft center. It's reminiscent of cookie dough before you mix in the flour.. so ultra sweet and sugary, but in the best way. Some of my other top favorites are the rum nougat, beverly, mayfair, maple walnut, vanilla nut cream - basically any of the creams or nougats. I haven't tasted one that I didn't like. The lollipops are also delicious - as a coffee lover, I love the cafe latte flavor, and the chocolate ones are also deliciously rich for a hard candy. All of the flavors are good so the assortment is really nice too. If you like fudgy with almonds, the almond royals are a delicious chewy treat. I also love the peanut brittle bars. They are crispy, sweet, buttery, rich and oh so good. They are quite expensive, but for a once in a while treat, it is worth it. Any of their products make for a very nice gift for someone. I just wish they had more locations.
