Visiting from California, we don't have or have never had Culver's so I had to try it! As you walk in, the space is clean and tidy. And their menu was vast, so it took me a little bit to decide what to get. Since Culver's is known for their Butterburgers and frozen custard, that's what I ordered. The Butterburger was simple, single patty with great sear yet super moist. You can definitely taste the butter. The veggies were fresh and crisp, cutting through the richness of the beef patty and cheese. I understand the hype now. The frozen custard was phenomenal. Rich, creamy and hardly melted. I had plain vanilla, I regret not adding toppings. First time I had frozen custard and I think I'm converted. Fries were nothing special but fried crisp and seasoned well. I hope a Culver's opens close to California, I'd be a regular. read more

This was a quick spot to meet a friend and easy to find, so we opted to try it out. As a vegan I wasn't sure I would be eating but I'm happy to say they now have some good options. The space was clean and I loved how everyone was friendly once we began to place our order. We got a few meals but they now have a vegetarian burger (my husband said it was good) and they have some salads and steamed broccoli. I enjoyed the broccoli and fries. We also appreciated their fountain drinks and the ability to get as much ketchup as we liked. It was a fun spot to meet up and the price was pretty good for what we ordered. On every receipt of you complete the survey you can get a free cup of ice cream, so that's a fun treat. Had a cheeseburger, small fries, small drink and comes with scoop of custard ice cream. Can choose custard flavor of either vanilla, chocolate or flavor of the day, which was blackberry cobbler. I went with the chocolate ice cream and it hit the spot! Fast service and nicer interior than typical fast food establishment. They also have tickets on kids meals and if save 10 tickets you can get a prize of a regular size football, basketball, etc or free kids meal. Yum! Culver's is pretty much always a good place to eat. This one was clean, and the food tasted great, and we got our order quickly. I ordered a single Sourdough Melt, and they gave me a double Sourdough Melt (and without red onion, too). Culver's has a good formula for good food and is typically consistent. Tonight was no different, for the most part. Service was friendly and faster than I thought it would be. My fish dinner was good, the highlight being the sides I picked. Pretzels with cheese dip and chili cheese fries were great. My fish was a little too greasy ...I've had their fish before and it's usually better so it just wasn't on point tonight. The sides were huge portions so I was very satisfied. My only gripe with Culver's which I imagine is everyone's gripe, it's their drive thru Lane that's always wrapped around the building and making it pretty difficult to get in and out of a spots. I ended up going to Culver's for lunch Friday(2-1) afternoon. I ordered beef pot roast dinner, no dinner roll, extra mash potatoes with extra gravy. I haven't had that dinner in a very long time which I remember the price used to be around 11ish, but I paid around 8 something yesterday. When, my food arrived I noticed it could had been hotter than what it was, Culver's has downsized the beef pot roast dinner by now offering it on one slice of sourdough bread along with the meats. Few, years ago I could had gotten same meal, no extra fee, two slices of sourdough bread with the beef on top. It was still fulfilling, made me warm inside, and that dinner was definitely good for the winter storm we had Friday morning along with the roads being a complete mess. It's amazing they haven't figured out how curbside works since they've had a year of pandemic to practice. I come here repeatedly because it's close but I always wait longer for curbside even when checking in online. Every time I have to either call the store or personally go in which defeats the purpose of curbside. Thanks this evening for my lukewarm cheese curds and chicken sandwich and half melted mixer... was it under the heat lamp as well? Food was good and staff polite and attentive! We came with our grandchildren and found a good spacious place to sit, although another person had just gotten up. Before I could get out my wipes, an employee quickly came up and scrubbed the table down very thoroughly. While we were eating the general manager was walking around with a strawberry shake to give away. We were the lucky recipients. I assume it was not what a customer had ordered and instead of throwing it out, she brought it out from behind the counter to give to someone. It's good to know that food is not wasted. Drive through is always crazy busy and my sons car got backed into at the drive thru. It was a hit n run and now it's in the shop and can't drive it. Food was good but they didn't get the order right and half a dozen runners taking food out to the cars in the drive thru and not a single person taking orders at the counter with 3 cash registers and an elderly couple with a woman with a walker waiting to order. Seems their needs some organization to the system of ordering and delivering the food as well as mentioning what the customer ordered before they leave. I know the staff issues with a lot of businesses right now but taking the time to talk to the customer is important to let us know what is going on. read more

Went to get ice cream after hiking in Eagle Creek. We paid and ordered through the Drive-through and were told to pull up and wait for our order (just x2 milkshakes). It's always nice to return to the mid-West and visit a Culver's for a concrete made from a true frozen custard. We walked in and stood back from the counter perusing the menu while a cashier greeted us, once we decided we walked up gave our orders took our number and found a seat. In fairly short order someone delivered our concretes to us. Sadly they were out of bananas so the vanilla, hot fudge, strawberries and bananas wasn't an option, instead I opted for vanilla, hot fudge, blueberries and blackberries (don't judge me). The vanilla custard was properly thick clinging firmly to the spoon, the hot fudge was wonderful and I often prefer it over chocolate syrup, the blueberries were flavorful and stood out nicely against the hot fudge, sadly the blackberries were lost in the mix seemingly too subtle to notice. Wish we had another day in Carmel for another trip to Culver's, but we'll be heading back East soon. read more

Luckily, you can get a basic combo with fries and a drink or you can upgrade the fries to a different size like cheese curds and the drink to a milkshake. Culvers on W 71st street is really going downhill. Their fish USED to be "cooked to order" but lately they are pre- frying or double frying. I went through the drive thru and orders a cookies and creams dish, fries well done and cheese curds for an evening snack and was asked to pull to the holding bay while everything was cooking. I never mind waiting for fresh food! The worker brought the food out, it was cold! It was like my food was just held back because it was an inconvenience to bring it out at the time since there was another car waiting on theirs (plus it was raining). I think this location is nice . The staff is always nice . I have never really had any issues. The location is a little hard to get in and out if due to all the businesses in this small area. I usually get the culver deluxe snack pack for $5. It is so good and it comes with a drink. Recently I came in just for the Lemon ice and blueberry cheesecake custard . You have the choice of doing 1 scoop - 3 scoops. The more scoops the more it costs. The lemon ice is just a Italian ice , it just seems to be thicker. The custard is always so smooth .
