In fairness, I have not had much Korean food. I tried the drive-through and they were great. Fast and friendly. My food was hot and exactly what I ordered. I'm not sure this place is my jam. I got fried chicken and veggies in my cup. I also got the K-Dawg and some kimchi. For me, the mixing of the flavors in my cup just wasn't hitting. It might have been my combo. The chicken was nice and crunchy. The veggies were fresh and crisp. It was all the sauces that I didn't find great. The flavors were melded together and it just wasn't for me. I'd like to try again and ask for less sauces. The K-Dawg was fun to try. My kids would love it. The kimchi was exactly what you'd expect: funky, spicy, tangy. I'll probably try them again when my 20-year old twins can join me. I'd like to try a few other things because the service was great. read more

I came here on a Saturday night with a few friends, and we were impressed right fromt he start. The staff was super attentive, our server, Min, helped us grill the meats perfectly and kept the sides coming without us asking. We got the beef combo and everything was fresh, especially the marinated short ribs. The kimchi and jachae were legit, just like what I had in Seoul. We left feeling stuffed and happy. It's not the cheapest, but the quality and service totally make it worth it. read more

I've been driving past this spot for over a year. Not sure why I've not tried it but here we go! I ordered the bbq beef bowl or Bop and for $2.50 added double meet. I got drive through and omg it's smells so good! I got 2 orders of MonDoo 6 pieces and tangy fried chicken! Can't wait to get home! I made it without trying to eat while driving. Good thing come to those who wait! First bite! Wow! The beef is tender and meaty.The spice was perfect. I got double meat so as I dug past the abundance of delicious KBBQ I found glass noodles. I am one who doesn't really like surprises when it comes to food if I am not in the food for it so when I go to a restaurant that I like I will order the same thing over and over. This place is the most consistent food. Other cupbop locations seem to struggle with consistency with spice levels but this location is always on point. Love it. read more

The short of it: flavorful food offset by loud manager and ambience. I visited with my wife and we got the crispy chicken and beef bowls. As with other visits to CupBop, the food was great. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was a delicious new texture to add to the noodles and rice. I ordered extra beef, which in my opinion is the way to have the #2 beef bowl. Heat level was 4 of 10, so a little tingly but definitely nothing to label "hot". Next time I'd try a 6. The woman taking my order was pleasant and professional, and the food quickly served hot. Very yummy! What distracted from a nice meal was the noise. There was a manager in the dining room parked at a laptop at a makeshift desk next to the drink station (is there no back room or office space in the back?). She spent nearly thirty minutes yelling at high volume across the dining room to employees behind the counter, asking about availability, schedules, work gossip and other stuff, instead of simply pulling an employee aside to have a normal conversation instead of doing so at an elevated voice. The concrete floors and walls ended up being a reverberation chamber for the yelling across the restaurant that nearly ruined the meal. Not professional. read more

The noodles in a cup was great! It was super flavorful and I loved the yum yum sauce on top with the meat and veggies. However, some of the noodles were hard. So I had to remove those while eating. Not appetizing or fun, but again great flavors! read more

Our order was inaccurate. One bowl was missing veggies, the kids bowls were supposed to have the sauce on the side but the sauce was on top and the order should've contained four mandoo but only had two. Also one of the bowls was supposed to be "sloppy" but was actually light on sauce. Finally, the rice was stale. I love Cupbop but this experience was a huge disappointment. read more

Honestly, I don't love this place. Maybe it's that I just haven't had enough Korean food, but to me it seems like all the textures just kind of glob together into one mayonnaise-y, slimy mess. I've given it two tries and it just isn't for me. That being said, my uncle lived in Korea for two years and now lives out of state. Cupbop is an absolute must for him every time he comes to Utah, so it truly might be a me problem and you might love it! Not my "cup" of tea but I won't yuck on someone else's yum! read more

As thousands of cars, trucks, and motorcycles travel east and west on 123rd south, there are thousands of us who all have different lives. Some of us have boring days, some of us are happy as can be, and there are some of us who are in the middle of an existential crisis. Whether if we have time to cook, going through the drive through at Cup Bop's Draper location makes your day just a little better. There is an actual character who works there named David. Not knowing his adversities, yours, or vice versa, David always makes time out of his day to be kind. Kindness is a rippling effect. It is easier to take our frustrations out on those we don't know. It is easy to lose our edge if someone cuts us off, or is just plain rude. Whatever the case may be. And if you're having a challenging day, David always chooses kindness. He will be the reason why your day is a little better. If his purpose in life is to be uplifting, he is winning. Check him out if you have a chance, the food is good too. read more

Dude. What happened to you guys? Went in the drive thru after a long time away for a ko ko bop and a rock bop and they were terrible. The rock bop chicken was so insanely old that it was hard to chew. Obviously this means that they aren't throwing the old chicken away after it's past its time and making new ones. Fried chicken is NOT GOOD once it gets old. Also the noodles were past their time too as they were completely soggy and just kind of fell apart. The ko ko bop chicken was okay but same thing with the noodles. You guys used to be so great before you went brick and mortar but now you have serious quality control issues and/or management issues. And then the guy at the window has the audacity to not only ask for a tip but also look at me like I killed someone when I refused. Skip this place and go somewhere else. Cupbop has tanked. read more

The combos we ordered were full so flavor (I do a spicy level of 7) and I totally love the rice and cabbage that is hidden at the bottom of my noodles and spicy chicken/tofu it's like a hidden treasure. Service was extremely fast, in and out in less than a minute! I like spicy so I went with a 7 on the spicy scale, it was perfect; could have gone a little hotter but being my first time, I wanted to be sure I was able to enjoy it. I only had a couple pieces of cabbage but I'm not a huge fan of warm lettuce/cabbage so that was fine by me. The noodles were good, beef was tender and the two sauces really work well together. It's not my favorite place. I'm not real experienced in Korean food, but I can't imagine this is as good as it gets. I've been here a few times and the meat seems bland and then overwhelmed with hot sauce. Even at a medium level 3,4,or 5. I suppose you could dress up any meat with enough dressings. Either way, my stomach never seems to agree with this place. I will say the staff is always friendly and outgoing and both the restaurant and food trucks when out and about. read more

I went in tonight and ordered their September special which came with a choice of any CupBop, 3 dumplings or kimchi, and a drink for just over $11 The establishment itself is in a nice, easy to access location, and the environment was clean and modern. I gotta say the food was better than I expected for sure, and I love the array of sauces you can choose from. You get plenty, and the container it comes in is perfect for saving leftovers. The noodles paired very well with the chicken for sure. They could do with some new lids for their drink cups however, seeing as mine kept spilling. The rice was also kind odd sitting at the bottom of the bowl. I'd love to hav sauce out on that, and maybe that's an option I just don't know about yet. Simeon says "go!" Check out the menu. It's fun, fast and filling. It's all a little sweet but it's a great option if variety is your kind of thing. They should have a frequent fliers program like some of the rest. Maybe they do, I'll ask next time. Yes, I'll return, which really is the ultimate review. We love this location and have used the drive-thru so many times! Today we had the nicest person helping us at the drive-thru and he gave our dog some chicken when he noticed him in the car with us. My kids have very specific orders and modifications and they made it all perfectly. We love the Doochi Bop, their tofu is so delicious! My kids ask for it all the time and now I think our dog will too! read more

I really enjoyed my visit to Cupbob (really hoping they come to Houston soon). I went soon after opening hours on a Saturday so there weren't many people seated and the restaurant was very clean and bright. The staff was very helpful as it was my first time and they explained what all of the options were and gave really great suggestions. I cant remember all that I put into my bowl but it was amazing. Fresh, quick and just enough sauce, no complaints on my end. If you're looking for a quick meal and are needing something a little different, Cupbob is a must visit for sure. read more

Cupbop is my favorite Korean food truck/restaurant in Utah! Let's start with the food, I would give it 6 stars if I could! My favorite is either the Hot Bop (spicy pork) or the Combo Bop, you can't go wrong with either. There is a various selection for vegetarians as well. I am infatuated with their secret sauces. The creamy mayo-Sriracha sauce along with their spicy sauce are crack for my stomach. I usually go with a spiciness level of 8, but if you're not a big fan of spice, I would recommend anywhere from a 1-5. Every time I come to Cupbop, the staffs are always so nice and enthusiastic. I especially love the workers in the food trucks, I look forward to hearing them yell out my order each time! read more

I've always loved Cupbop and thought their food is so good... But today I got the doochi bop with tofu, and the tofu was really hard and seem like it was fried days ago, rather than fresh. I love tofu usually but it was so bad I couldn't even eat any of it. So I ended up paying $12 for a bowl of noodles and rice and slaw. Bummed. read more

I've only ever had it braised from Haitian restaurants when living in Miami. But the smoked oxtail with the dirty rice was so perfect together. The oxtail just came right off the bone and I didn't even have to use the knife to cut it apart. The Mac and cheese was incredible. The brisket was sliced nice and thin and so tender that even the lean part of the slice broke in half with just my fork. Every time I went to pick up a piece it just fell apart. I do wish that the bark was thicker and more peppery because it's so nice to cut through the fat but that's my personal preference. It was cooked right, sliced right, and seasoned perfectly. The chicken was actually a thigh and a leg! Used my fork to pull meat right off the bone. Juicy and flavorful. My husband got the sausage, ribs, and brisket. The sausage was so good and he ate all the ribs without me even getting to try a bite so make of that what you will. Thank you Mr Rhodes Jr for EXCELLENT barbecue done the right way!!! Very casual inside, white walls with metal chairs and concrete floor. Very simple. Very small space. About 14 tables. I have food, allergies, and the waitress answered all of my questions. But then she sent the chef/owner, Julius, over to talk with me. Pleasant man from Chicago. But his recipes are all from his family who lived in the South. I ordered the fried catfish which is accompanied with two sides. I chose the candied yams and the mac & cheese. My husband ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, potatoes, and gravy and the macaroni and cheese. Both plates are served with a slice of cornbread with a large honey butter smothered on top. The food came out very hot. The breading on the catfish is very thick and a lot of spices. I was pleasantly surprised when I cut my catfish and discovered it was deboned and tender. The mac & cheese was creamy and the candied yams were super sweet. Just the way I prefer them. They did seem a bit runny, but the flavor was good. The fried chicken was unbelievably moist. The breading was thick and crunchy. The mashed potatoes were of course, homemade with spices, and the brown gravy is chicken based. The cornbread was delicious. Comes with a slab of honey butter. I only wish it was served warm. It would've made the experience perfect. The food portions are large. The food has wonderful flavor with the perfect spice and southern heat. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I would give it 4.8 stars. The only two things that brought it down from a perfect score were the cornbread being cold, and the restaurant was not a cozy feel. Please come check this restaurant out and meet Julius.

The restaurant has a cool vibe inside and the service was great from the moment we walked in. The Chicharrón Bowl came with crispy pork belly over Colombian yellow potatoes, melted cheese, guacamole, and their house garlic sauce. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and I especially loved all the crispy bits throughout the bowl. It paired super well with their hot BBQ sauce too. The Guanábana (soursop drink) was really refreshing and went great with the richness of the pork. Only reason I'm giving it a 7.5/10 instead of higher is because it was a little pricey for the portion size, but overall the food was delicious and definitely worth trying if you're into crispy pork belly and comfort food.

It took pretty much an hour to get food, and what came out was sad. Brisket was dry, and the chicken was desiccated. It was bad. My son's burger was a little burned too, but it was edible. I hope he enjoyed it, because it's the last Holy Grill we'll be getting.
