The over-all takeaway here is that Yes, vegans CAN eat here, No they probably don't want to. First off, we ordered three bowls and they mixed up parts of the two bowls (tofu and no dairy toppings or sauces) with the chicken bowl, they had to remake them for us. The veggies and tofu options were cooked in the fryer as you order, at surface level that would seem better than the food sitting there, but again, they had to make parts of the order twice, thus cooking veggies and tofu twice. The veggies themselves were pulled from the freezer and sent right into the fryer for cooking, these veggies were not great, average at best. I've had better tofu, like way better and these veggies were just average being straight from the freezer. The rice and noodles are certainly safe options for the plant based eaters, but watch out as many of their sauces start as mayo, which means egg. After telling them the two bowls that we were ordering were vegan, we were still asked about adding meat as if telling them vegan went in one ear and out the other. It was moderately busy at time of arrival. The food is decent quality, not too great but not bad either. Typical fast food quality. The price is a smidge high for that level of quality. I got their number 3 B BOP. It was good. My friends enjoyed their bowl as well. Time for the big stuff. The loo. After I ate, and went in to do some serious work. The loo was okay. The walks were retro, but the rest was decent. The power of the thrown is greater then a common house toilet, not bad at all. I went there on Friday, 08/15/25. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and did a great job explaining the food options. The food was flavorful and spicy. I ordered level 8 spiciness, and the person with me had a 7.5, and she had a hard time finishing the whole thing. While the food was good, the place's cleanliness was poor. The food, kitchen, and drinks were all filthy. It doesn't seem like they are overwhelmed with customers to keep them from cleaning. When we arrived around 1:30 PM, there were only two other people there, and they left shortly after, leaving us as the only customers for quite some time. Realized a new place had moved into Westgate (where Chipotle, used to be by the movie theater). It's now a Korean BBQ place, that serves "Korean Spirit in a Cup"...and, it does! You get cup options, then rice, cabbage and noodles. I really love the Japchae noodles, so I got only that. Hubby went with all 3. Then, you get your protein options, I went with BBQ Chicken and Tangy Chicken, Hubby just got Tangy Chicken. Then, you get the sauces, this is where the spice level is decided...1-10. We tried out this place while we were at West Gate. I was intrigued sense it said Korean BBQ in a cup. They have different cups to choose from with a mixture of rice, glass noodles and cabbage in the bottom with your choice of protein and sauce. I have the ugly chicken with the number 10 spice level sauce. The food was pretty good and the spice level was decent. Cupbop offers a pretty average take on Korean noodles. It's a fun concept and OK if you're in a rush, but overall not a place I'd return to. We ordered a pork bowl. It was underwhelming to say the least. There was too much sauce and rice in the dish. It tasted like a teriyaki bowl of mostly salty starch. What could have made it better? 1. Less rice, more noodles. I definitely wasn't expecting the rice and it felt like the place was cheaping out on the good stuff. The noodles really aren't too much more in terms of cost, and the experience could have been substantially elevated by increasing the noodle to rice ratio. 2. Less sauce. My dish was drowning in sauce and the only thing I could think of was what beverage I needed to calm my tastebuds down with. 3. More Veggies/Toppings. I'd say that the dish was probably 50% starch, 30% sauce, 20% protein, and 5% toppings/veggies. Not the ideal balanced dish. If you're looking for a cheap way to fill your stomach, this is it. Here it is now Thursday- I went to see my PCP because the stomach cramps are still present, I haven't been able to keep anything down- and I'm having profuse diarrhea (sorry). After a full examination- my PCP said I was the victim of a bacterial food poisoning- and prescribed antibiotics for the next 7 days along with a strictly fluid diet for at least 24 hours. I've been dealing with this since MONDAY!! Today, again Thursday the 19th- 4 full days later, I called Cupbop. I retold my story- after asking for the manager. I was told "I'm the manager" by some female, I failed to write down the name- only coming to find out, she lied. She isn't the manager- but would have her GM call me. This conversation took place 4 hours ago. Not one callback. Not one apology. The moral: there are MANY options to eat at within the Westgate area. Avoid this one. Our girls love noodles. Glass noodles and zoodles are the only ones we can eat. With corn being a new severe issue I am kind of broken. I feel so bothersome asking about ingredients other than gluten. The gal working and the manager Peter answered our questions with no drama or questioning. I will definitely be eating here again. With all the sauces and noodle rice mix in the bowl you get an array of different flavors that all mend together so well.
