Okay coffee and tea, good pastries, and a nice interior and design. -I got the white espresso latte iced with oat milk and it was disappointing. All I tasted at first was the syrup and then after that just the oat milk and not a strong espresso flavor. They have a lot of seasonal drinks, so I might try those next time. -My partner ordered the iced matcha with strawberry and again it was disappointing. Not a very strong matcha flavor and the color was off. The strawberry flavor was good though. -We got one blueberry donut and that was really good. The donut was both crunchy and doughy that had very good flavors. Maybe a little bit too sweet, but nonetheless was very good. -Overall, it was an OK experience. Both drinks disappointed, and the donut was good, but the overall vibe and look of Cupla was OK. Recently took a trip to Salt Lake City and found this spot for coffee and breakfast. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming when we entered, and maintained positive attitudes despite being extremely busy. I was impressed with their extensive breakfast menu of pastries and baked goods, sandwiches, frittatas, etc. I ordered a mocha for my coffee drink and it was excellent. They sell bags of beans and other merchandise. Loved the library-esque, open atmosphere. Will definitely be back next time in SLC! read more

Thai was the third cafe I tried ti find something gluten free and jackpot. Super cute location, great atmosphere , friendly staff. And their food is delicious as well. If I would live here I would be most likely a regular. read more

Miserable attitude from the server. Ordered tea and was presented with a teabag in hot water. No milk available to the customer, but a gallon the the bench behind the server. When I reached for it the comment was " you can't come here" rather than can I help. This is not how you present to a customer. The tea was mediocre. read more

Watch "Loudermilk" scene with barista who talks with affectation and this is what we have here plus horrible coffee. Bitter roast, dreaded push button espresso and their alt milks aren't barista series and disgusting. I had to toss a full drink and walk over to Three Pines. This place is bougie fake coffee. They could use a trip to Portland and learn a thing or two about brewing coffee and pulling shots. And carrying the proper barista milks. read more

This is a cute little spot located downstairs of a business building in downtown SLC - they have beautiful skylights that allow for natural like to fill the space, despite them being tucked away downstairs. The 2 baristas were super friendly and kind - I felt right at home the moment I stepped in. Their sweet drinks are not that sweet, which is my preference. I want to still taste my coffee :) The coffee was good - I wouldn't say their roast was incredible but I did enjoy my latte. The vibes are very laid back. I would for sure stop in again. read more

I've had this on my list of coffee places to visit because I have been in the SLC area more for work. We parked curbside, right across the street, but I still had a tough time finding signs for it. I started seeing people with coffee in hand and I realized the entrance isn't what I expected. Cute shop (they even have merch), the nicest baristas, and my House Latte with almond milk was perfect. The 2 baristas and the owners were very friendly and warm. Of course I'm horrible with remembering names. I observed how they interact with every guest that came in the door each interaction is as warm as the last person. I'm from Indianapolis and stayed at the AC which is just across the street. Stayed in town for 3 days and the interaction I had with them was the most memorable customer service I've had in town. Their buttered rum chai is the best chai I've had and their lavender scone was perfect! The ambience is chill and very laidback. Very cozy and homey. This review should've been written in May. My mom, aunt and I were visiting SLC and Cupla was very close to our hotel. I thought the vibe was so hip and cool. I forgot her name, but the girl at the counter was SO nice! She had a great attitude and was very friendly. We ordered a couple coffees and breakfast sandwiches. Our coffees came out very quick and our food not long afterwards. I had the sausage croissant breakfast sandwich and it was very tasty! My aunt and mom both got the ham and cheese and they said it was really good. They also have a lot of pasty options. I ordered the cinnamon roll and lemon scone for the road. The cinnamon roll kept up nice and it was even better after being in the air fryer for a bit. This location is located downstairs in a business building. They have a shared space so it was a little awkward walking by the employees from the other business to use the restroom. I felt like they were annoyed, but oh well lol. I'd definitely visit again if we're back in SLC! read more

Don't know how this place previously eluded me. It's an amazing business that literally is an underground coffee shop. I smelled the coffee walking street side past the skylight and follow the business signs that leads you into the Axis Bldg and down the stairs. The menu is creative and simple. I think the owner's, Twins, Abagail and Bethany might have been the baristas, but not entirely sure due to masking. The baristas were upbeat and enthusiastic, moving to the music while efficiently serving on a Saturday morning to a steady crowd of patrons. The Lavender Latte and Banana Mocha specials were perfect! The breakfast sandwich is a must! The vibe is a little more upbeat that most coffee shops, a perfect way to start your morning. read more

Highly recommended. This place has a quaint and uniquely comfortable vibe tucked away below street level. The two wonderful ladies that helped me were so welcoming, personable and full of enthusiasm (definitely something that we can all value with the state of the world). I got an iced americano and "The Sandwich." I'm something of a coffee connoisseur (lol) and I really liked their espresso, not overly bold--I can't stand when coffee tastes like dirt. The sandwich was good, it hit the spot. They have plenty of options to fit whatever you're looking for. This is truly a gem of downtown SLC. They are pride-supportive also. I love reading reviews. Hate writing them. This place has some of the best coffee and food in the Downtown area. Locally owned and operated. They love there coffee and it shows with the quality of their coffee, baked goods, and breakfast options. I definitely don't come here for the customer service and attention they give me. I usually get verbally assaulted and bullied by the staff. I think they do it out of love. They can tell I'm soft and weak. Besides having my taste buds satisfied by coming here I've also managed giving up an intense heroin and meth addiction. I'm still working on the sexual addiction, but if I'm being honest I'm not sure that's one I want to quit yet. If your looking for great coffee and breakfast options this is the place. read more

Okay, we got off to a rough start here. They do not have heavy cream. Admittedly, this is a sin that about 50% of coffee places make. I just don't get it; heavy cream tastes way better, it's keto-friendly (and that's all the rage these days), and that stuff lasts forever. Well, let's move past that for now. They did mess up my order. That happens and I'm not docking them for it at all. They did make it right without any hassle at all. The atmosphere in the place is very good. Lots of seating and a neat little patio that probably comes in handy in SLC for about 2 months out of the year. They couldn't do a decaf pour over. I don't get that at all.
