    Lobster Poutine
    Fran D.

We found this new gem near our Airbnb in Trenton. It's a huge space. You can sit downstairs or upstairs where there is a bar. It was quiet when we arrived at 2:30pm for a late lunch. You order at the window and they run your food to you wherever you decide to sit. We decided to sit upstairs at the open bar area and ordered one drink. The waitress was very friendly and even shared some Acadia hiking tips. For food I ordered the lobster poutine. I have never had anything so decadent! It arrived hot and fresh with French fries, lobster, Brie, sour cream and chives in a delicious lobster cream sauce. This was one of the best dishes I had while in Maine. My friend had the summer pasta and loved it! Both dishes were generous portions as well!

Very informal dining but good food! The lobster poutine was great! It was really windy the day we ate here so we sat inside downstairs. The upstairs dining area would be really nice on a warm

    Lobster roll

The hot lobster roll was good, we had to go up to the bar each time we needed more to drink. The food was good but service needed help!!

    Mastodon Lobster Roll

We got the mastadon lobster roll, it was our third lobster roll of the day and was the tastiest one and was HUGE. We met the owner Adam and he's a great guy. Highly recommended! Also incredible sweet potato fries!

Ate upstairs at the bar. Food was really good and service was spot on. Hubby loved the smash burger. I had lobster poutine. Excellent.

The blackened fish sandwich and smash burger were excellent, but the dark horse standout was the sweet potato fries.

We ordered several dishes and were thoroughly impressed. We started with the tostada, which featured wonderfully smoky brisket with a richness reminiscent of pork belly. Our summer salad with whipped feta was also delicious. The "Gambas" shrimp appetizer was probably our favorite of the night, full of layered buttery, spicy flavors reminiscent of an Indian curry. We also loved the mussels appetizer, served in a briny broth simmered with smoked pork and chorizo. The seasoning and flavor profiles of every dish were surprising and exceeded our expectations. We all agreed that Havana is a must try for all foodies!

During check-in, I was asked to provide certification for my service dog before being allowed entry. I wanted to respectfully share that under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), businesses may ask only whether a dog is a service animal required because of a disability and what task the dog has been trained to perform. Businesses may not require certificates, registration, or documentation. I'm sharing this in hopes that you can be better informed and that future guests with service animals do not experience the same situation. We eventually got seated, and you never came by our table to apologize. The food wasn't great eighter, my halibut was dry, and for this price, it should have been much better. Disappointed!

Off the beaten tourist path and open year round, PP lives up to the reviews and hype. We made a mistake our first night in Bar Harbor going to a tourist trap and getting a rubbery lobster roll and sad chowder. I did a bit of research online and found Peekytoe and was SO glad for it. While you don't get a water view, but a cute walk down the main drag, it is WELL worth the excursion AND HOW. My husband said his Crabby Patty was the best crab cake sandwich he ever had. I agreed in as I had the cake as an app. I also got a Halibut dish with pickled fiddleheads (a local green I might liken to okay) and blistered tomatoes. It was moist, well cooked fish, amazing sides. We enjoyed our cocktails immensely. GO. If you are a foodie and don't want a lame roll with some kids grilled cheese sides, DO this spot. SO well worth it. PS to manament - I know you do a brunch. MAKE SURE YOU DO A CRABCAKE BENEDICT. Your crab cakes are divine and with a slight seared crunch. Ideal. You can even do a lemon-fiddlehead or blistered tomato HOLLANDAISE. I'd be IN IN IPps i can't seem to edit both the fiddleheads are like OKRA not okay

I came here for the Crab Roll, which I had the first time I was here. Dare I say, it's better than a lobster roll? Packed full of crab meat, and no extra flavorings needed (though it does have some bay seasoning)! Worth coming back for this. The Smoked Fish Chowder (Bowl) had a lot of fish, with a hint of smokiness and a kick. Definitely hearty with the other ingredients (celery, potato, onion) and warms you up! The Baked Polenta Fries had a decent crisp. Frying would definitely give it a much better texture. I loved the dipping sauce, which definitely helped the dish. The Kelp Salad (Half) was too salty and I'm not a fan of the texture, so not a dish for me. It is a decently sized portion for a half. The Natalie's Lemonade was a good typical lemonade. Overall, a good spot to hit for the the crab roll!
