This place is delicious and has amazing price on their pizza! I've been to other places that serve delicious Indian pizza but this one is better AND cheaper! Definitely a plus! But this place is so tiny!! Granted we came with a party of 8 but it was incredibly tiny even for a family of 4! I would definitely come here again when in Georgetown. Side note/unrelated note: while waiting for a table, don't expect ANYONE who comes in and out that you open the door for to say thank yoU! Literally held the door open for AT LEAST 10 people and NIT ONE muttered a word or even acknowledged us. Must be something in the Georgetown air... anyway! Curry and Pie is a great choice for a meal in Georgetown! The food is really high quality, and the prices are incredibly reasonable for the area. I greatly enjoyed the chicken tikka masala pizza - it was really unique and delicious! And the medium is large! 8 slices, which is enough for at least two people. As others have mentioned, the service isn't great. They are all incredibly friendly, but inattentive and very slow. We had to ask for more water, the check, boxes, etc. We also waited about 10 minutes to be seated. It took about 2 hours from the time we entered the restaurant to the time we exited. Overall, I'm excited to come back and try more dishes! And have more curry pizza. read more

Stopped here for a quick meal while packing up my daughters for the summer. The restaurant itself is quaint but small. We were seated in the upstairs dining room. It was a hot day and I do not believe the air conditioning was on. The hostess and the server were friendly and welcoming. We ordered the tiki masala pizza, the mango chicken pizza and dumplings. The dumplings were delicious and full of flavor. I found the mango chicken pizza lackluster and without much flavor. The tiki masala pizza was just a step above. Not much flavor. I plan on returning next time I am in Georgetown to give it a second try. read more

AMAZING food, MUST try! Great service and love the small nook restaurant! We got: Chicken Tikka Pizza: LOVED the crust Lamb Vindaloo - perfectly cooked and flavored Malai Kofta - super soft and vey flavorful. This is the 2nd restaurant I've had a really delicious Malai Kofta, exactly how it should be. Lentil Soup - flavored and super mild spicy. Both my kids LOVED it! Roti - that the only thing we didn't like. It was too thick and hard. This place is small so gets busy and don't take Reservation, so please go accordingly. read more

I had visited this place only for their chicken tikka pizza and I was not disappointed. It was a bit greasy but with good flavors. The place is not very huge with 4 seating downstairs and rest of their seating upstairs. The interiors are simple and Bollywood music inside makes the ambience authentic. read more

My friend and I went here after a long day of walking aaround georgetown and let me tell you the food was definitely worth it. The stardish was for was the Momo. Keema was juicy, well flavored and achar was really good too. I will definitely be back for the momos and the tandoori wings. read more

Our go to for indian food! The chicken makhani is one of the better ones i've had! it's creamy and tomato-y. We usually get the samosa's which are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken tikka is nice and juicy with flavorful spices. The grilled vegetables are also a nice touch. I also appreciate that they give a tub of tikka masala sauce to go along with it! I dip things in the sauce. The rice is fluffy and the naan is soft and doughy. We typically get take out and it's always right and ready when we pick it up. We also got the chicken tikka pizza once and it was delicious! Definitely try it. read more

Visiting in Arlington, picked this place so we would have an excuse to walk across the river and because we like Indian. So glad we did! DH and I split a small appetizer order of chicken dumplings with momo sauce. I don't know what the secret is to momo sauce, but it's great! DH had a lemon drink with ginger, light and refreshing. We split a mango chicken pizza - a totally different fusion that we both enjoyed. The mango chutney side we used on the crust to give us a taste of sweet. Also, the curries I saw on the tables around us looked to be generous portions and smelled delicious! Service was slow but attentive. Waitress brought us water before the menus, very appreciated on a hot day. Tight space, with seating on the main and first floor of a converted townhouse in Georgetown. Summary - if we lived close I would explore this menu to the fullest! read more

Cute spot! Kinda funny because their ambiance is very "white tablecloth"-y but they have a fusion menu! Anyway, their main seating area is further up. Some lovely South Asian photos and paintings adorn the walls! So I was really excited to try out this place especially because of the fusion dishes and appetizers! I think the fusion concept is a great idea, but I do think it needs to be fine tuned more. For instance, the chaat fries were amazing at first bite. They come with both a green (supposed to be tangy) and tamarind (actually supposed to be classically sweet/sour) sauce as most chaats do. But both sauces were super tangy and my kidneys could feel the sodium load. I think it would have been on point if the tamarind sauce was sweeter and you got both flavors between the 2 sauces. We ordered the chicken tikka pizza! The pizza dough was amazingly soft and tasty. The chicken on the pizza was soft and the perfect texture for meat you'd want on your pizza. I do think I've had better fusion pizza, though. This is a great spot to stop by in Georgetown if you're in the area, but probably not my favorite fusion place in DC with so many other options. read more

Curry & Pie represents the convergence of my two favorite things in life, and the execution is pretty close to perfect. I visited with a couple friends on a Saturday evening, and unfortunately, since there was a party upstairs that occupied the whole floor, we were seated in the downstairs section by the kitchen and register, where people were picking up their takeout orders. However, I forgot all about my less-than-ideal surroundings and the dumb party upstairs when the food came out and I disappeared into tandoori bliss. We tried the tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala curry pie, mango chicken pizza, and chicken tikka stuffed naan. The tandoori chicken was so so so well seasoned and delicious, though I wish I had asked them to make it extra spicy. The portion was really generous and I have plenty of leftovers that I'll probably eat cold, with my hands, like a savage, at 3AM. My friends enjoyed their mango chicken pizza and tikka masala curry pie, and we all shared the chicken tikka stuffed naan. The naan was ok -- not a whole lot of chicken inside it, so I'll probably get the garlic naan next time I go. In summary: go there. Get your tandoori on. You will not regret it. Maybe do takeout if there's a dumb party upstairs. read more

This place is so overrated! The pizza is not good just taste like regular frozen pizza. The pizza crust was almost raw and that is absolutely not okay. The girl who served us did not put our order in so we waited an extra 40 mins. Then they gave us the wrong pizza that we didn't even order. The cherry on the cake was when we asked for pizza boxes the girl said they are too expensive to give out?! WTF!!! We asked for more plastic containers to put our leftovers in but this rude server girl tried to tell me that I'm not packing my pizza aggressive enough. Omg who does she think she is?! Attitude for the rest of the service (if there is any). Anyways! Will not come again!!!! read more

Curry & Pie had an interesting concept, Indian-flavored pizzas, so we had to check it out. Got the chaat fries and a medium saag paneer pizza, which was just about enough food for two hungry adults. The food was okay - it seems like Curry & Pie has a good concept, but only medium execution. For example, loved the idea of the chaat fries - french fries topped with yogurt, onion, chutneys, chaat masala, and sev. However, the fries themselves were a little soggy, which got worse over time as the toppings seeped in. Same with the saag paneer pizza, which had pizza crust topped with saag paneer and then mozzarella cheese. The idea is good, but the saag paneer was kind of bland and there was way too much crust. Overall, we liked the food but were not blown away. read more

Indian restaurant that found a way to make this cuisine even more delicious -- put it on a pizza! --THE FOOD: Curry & Pie offers traditional Indian dishes, but obviously the dish to get is one of their fusion pizzas. They'll have you wondering why no one thought to combine these two delicious and totally compatible cuisines before. --FOR THE VEGGIES: There are several vegetarian Indian dishes here, as well as several pizzas. We usually get the Tikka Masala pizza with paneer instead of chicken, and to be honest -- it's so delicious that I doubt we'll ever dare to deviate from it. --THE SERVICE: The service is very friendly and quick, both for dining in and taking out. It seems to take an average of 15-20 minutes to prepare a pizza for take out, so you may want to order ahead. --THE AMBIENCE: Curry & Pie occupies a well-decorated walk-up, offering a unique, intimate atmosphere. I first came to Curry and pie and had a perfectly fine experience although the service was a bit slow. I came back a second time with some older relatives and the service was abyssmal. After calling three times with no answer I ended up putting my name on the list in the restaurant. When they called over half an hour later saying our table was ready we had to wait an additional ten minutes before we were taken upstairs to a table that was set for 3 despite the fact that we were a party of 5, The seating host simply left us in a crowded area of the restaurant with no seats for 2 members of our party. other customers had to offer up their table. No one had come back up still so we had to move the table ourselves. After this things improved but service was still quite slow. The food is still decent, but with their service is terrible. read more

Amazing food. Terrible service, especially during a pandemic. I was getting pick up and the guy at the register was not wearing a mask, nor was he enforcing that other people waiting for pick up wear a mask (there is still a mask mandate in DC). Also, when someone who had ordered before me had been waiting for a half hour still hadn't gotten her food yet and others who ordered after her had, she explained this and the guy laughed at her. I understand that it's a frustrating job when it's busy, but it was also very frustrating to see that customers' concerns were not taken seriously. There was definitely poor communication. I'll be back because I absolutely love the food (esp the saag paneer pizza!) but was very uncomfortable during my service today. read more

So I stumbled upon Curry & Pie online and decided to give a shot while in Georgetown on a Friday evening (it's a pretty new place). The restaurant itself is pretty narrow and small with one level serving as an entrance foyer and the upper level as the dining area. I ordered the Tandoori Tamales, Karahi Chicken, Chicken Tikka Pizza, and Dal Makhni. The tamales were frankly disappointing, as they were dry and less than flavorful. The karahi chicken was great and tasted what authentic karahi chicken should taste like (get it spicy!) The chicken tikka pizza is what I was really looking forward to try but I was rather disappointed. The pizza itself is fine but the overwhelming taste of chicken tikka doesn't lend itself well to what a pizza should be. I've seen better renditions of "indian" pizza (i.e. Spice 6 in Hyattsville, MD and in Vienna, VA). The service was OK at best-- there was nobody waiting to greet my friend and I in the entrance until we waited there for a few minutes. The lack of attention by our waiter was also frustrating as well. The interior ambiance is lacking as well, as the restaurant itself just doesn't have the vibe that a Georgetown restaurant should have. Overall, the concept is great. Curry & Pie has some really cool fusion entrees and apps but they fall short in execution. The food is okay at best yet service is disappointing and his ultimately results in a ho-hum restaurant with tons of potential. read more

Let's be honest: in the soulless void of Georgetown, it is a treat to find any food with character or innovation. Curry & Pies has both. The service is awful, the wait is misleading, and the kitchen timing was flawed. But the cuisine ranged from standard Indian fare (palak paneer, tikki masala) to way fun ( French fry chaat, tiki mango pizza). Eat here, but be patient. read more

just went here for dinner. I walk past it every day and really thought it was Curry and pies..... I need to do my research more. I had the pizza with mango, and woooooow it was sooooo good. Chicken tikka pizza was ICONIC. Service was totally weird, and they have stuff on the menu that I guess they don't serve anymore? I got the chai tea, but think it is pretty skippable honestly. This place is alllll about the pizza. Don't waste your time with the other food. read more

But the French fry Chaat is the show stealer! Curry and pizza are two of my favorite foods, but when I heard this place combined the two I had my initial reservations... but it definitely works, and it's delicious! The restaurant is in a cute location just off M Street in Georgetown, although it's kind of small so expect a (worthwhile) wait to be seated. All of the food is very affordable, tasty, and spice is customizable - I chose medium spice and found it to be fairly but not too spicy. Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza: The sweet, spiced, tomato-y masala is the perfect sauce for a pizza - in fact, I'd say it's much more enjoyable than a classic tomato sauce. The crust is tasty and very chewy, almost like naan. Would highly recommend if it's your first visit! Saag Paneer Pizza: More mellow in flavor than the chicken tikka masala, but still pretty good! The paneer is delicious as always and makes a great topping option for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Chicken Makhni/Butter Chicken: Got this one as a regular curry rather than a pizza. Nicely spicy, creamy, and rich. read more

Portions were good for what you got. The concept is unique and the staff accommodated is later in their business hour for a Saturday. Service was attentive and quick. Mango Lassi was a little watery and more yogurt base than I'm used to but still delicious. The pizza smelled a little off but tasted decent, I'm a pizza snob so I can't say it was the greatest, average at best. My friend got the lamb with medium spice which he couldn't handle, but I thought was just the right amount. The naan we didn't get to but we also go the simosas which were good except they were too big and hard shell which made it a little bit trouble some to eat without your fingers. All in all the food was great and the prices were more than reasonable for the area. I would go back but I probably wouldn't order the same things. I would recommend them though. read more

We really enjoyed this restaurant and the concept behind it. We ordered the chaat fries which were absolutely delicious. I would eat them again in a heartbeat. We also got the chicken tamales which weren't too yummy in my opinion. But that could also be because I don't think I enjoy tamales. Then we ordered chicken tikka pizza for the entree and we were so excited for it but honestly you couldn't even tell it was chicken tikka, and the sauce was weird like super sweet. Probably wouldn't order that again. We also got karahi chicken which was pretty tasty. I would definitely return but would try different entrees. Nice ambiance too. read more

Was excited to try this place while in town but it left a bit to be desired. The place is kind of small and service was a bit on the slow side. The sweet potato samosas and mango lassis were great, the chicken pineapple pizza was pretty good but the curry was mediocre and the garlic naan was kind of disappointing. I'm no expert when it comes to naan but to me, it has a distinct taste. The naan here tasted like regular pizza crust. I'm glad to have experienced the place but I'm not sure I'd go back. read more

It has a light curry taste throughout and was pretty good but didn't really stand out 5.5/10 Mapo tofu - slight kick and nice savory taste in the sauce! However I think they cut the tofu pieces way too large or the tofu they chose had way too much tofu flavor that overpowers the sauce. I'd prefer a very light silky tofu but this was a soft tofu. 6/10 Vpod - at first it just tasted like orange juice but then the other flavors peek through on the after taste and when I mixed it more. Even though it was good, it still felt very basic 5/10 Philadelphia Scotsman - it's pretty ginger forward. Technically the level of ginger spice is fine but strong but then the rest of the drink got completely overpowered and so this just wasn't that great 2.5/10

Hands down one of the best drinks I've ever had and was paired with sparkling sake. Bathe me in sparkling sake, put a bottle in my casket, I want it with me forever.
