So I had issues with my home button and vibration, I checked with 4 guys, one quoted me on 79, second on 59, third said they don't offer this service, and this amazing guy quoted me on 39$ to replace the vibration motor if it's broken. After a clumsy accident my friend broke his iPhone screen. Yup, it was one of those nights. Three weeks of listening to him rant about how he cant see anything I decided to look on good ol' groupon for some deals on iPhone repair. It must have been my lucky day because I found a deal or better yet a steal for Custom iPhones and Repairs located in Redondo Beach. Hesitant that the screen couldn't be fixed we walked in expecting the worst. However, we were pleased to learn that his messed up screen can be fixed and done within an hour and a half. The wait was a little long but! understandable and we ended up grabbing some lunch while we waited. Broken glass (front only) on an iPhone 5... fixed and good as new in a half hour. They seemed busy too, and still had it done in a half hour! $79 and its faster, cheaper, and so much less annoying than dealing with the cool kids at the Apple Store who shame you into purchasing more and more and more. Plus, they have name brand cases (like SPECK) for $25 that I know for a fact are $39 at the apple store, bc I have bought so many of them thinking the damn Apple store was my only option. My shattered I-Phone screen is fixed, and I am so happy about that. This was the most inexpensive place I could find, and my phone was finished in less that 10 minutes. I'm only giving 4 stars because the guy convinced me to buy a glass screen protector which he just sticks on. This made one corner of my screen totally desensitized and I just had to pull of the glass to use it. That was annoying and a total waste of $10. This is the type of place you never want to visit because it means there's an issue with your phone, but I'm quite glad I have a place I like and trust now. I've now been to them 2x in a week. My battery was dying way too quickly and so I went last weekend to have it replaced. They were $20-$40 cheaper than 5 other stores in the area I called. The other stores also quoted 30min to an hour to swap out the battery. They told me 15 minutes. I came back 10 min after I dropped the phone off and it was already done. Then earlier today I dropped my iPhone 6 in the office and the screen shattered. I came in at 1:15. They told me they would have the phone done at 2:00. I came back at 1:50 and the phone was sitting on the shelf, done and ready to go. $65 for the aftermarket screen, which is about market price. Quality product, fast service and they didn't try any upsell. I hope I don't need them again, but should I have a phone fix, I know where I'll be going. read more

A top convenient source for repair for products that not have AppleCare or for someone whom does not wants to deal with Apple lines. The other day I dropped my daughters iPad. It's older and I knew the Apple Store would be a three hour turn over and that alone is expensive. So it's a no brainer to go here and get the product screen replaced. This merchant was rated high and most people talked about the owner and his pride so I yelp emailed him and he responded late on a Saturday evening which I thought was great. He quoted me, told me what I needed to do. Where I live there are a few repair shops within a mile or 2, this shop is out of my way a bit but the way he treated me and his care the decision was easy. My iPhone 7 had the well documented audio IC chip issue that Apple charges $350 to repair. Custom fixed it within hours for a much lower cost. Every other phone repair business in the South Bay that I called regarding the issue stated it would take from several days to two weeks to repair as they had to send it out for that specific repair. I took a failing iPad here 3 or 4 times. The gentleman behind the counter would take it, test it, and tell me what he found. The first time he couldn't recreate the issue, and told me don't worry about payment. When I brought it back, he tried held onto it for several days, and discovered through testing that it was an issue that wouldn't be worth the money to fix.
