Sold me on "better" quality screen and screen protector. Next day screen cracked although never dropped. Called to question how this could have happened and if they could work a deal with me since 24 hours prior I handed them $100 cash. His response, "oh, do you have a receipt? Well actually we don't have a warranty anyway, so not much we could do, you'd have to purchase another one" . My phone continues to crack although I didn't drop it. I don't really use the phone, so It's a little disappointing to lay my phone down and come back to see it has an additional crack. I took in my teenage daughters 3 year old iphone 4S to Custom iphone & Repairs because she had dropped it face down in a parking lot on accident which caused the face to crack badly. My goal was to not have to replace the phone as it is in excellent working condition and a new one is very costly for our family at this time. Custom iphone & Repairs fixed it quickly and it looked great. We placed it in a protective case so that the chances of this happening again would be slim. 48 hours later, however, the iphone fell on our CARPETED floor and... the face cracked! What? I returned it to Custom iphone & Repairs hoping that the gentleman would help me as it certainly seemed like this should not have happened. I asked him to replace the screen but he said that he could not do that so I asked for my money back which he refused to do as well. Apparently Custom iphone & Repairs does not guarantee their work when it comes to replacing the screens. I was not about to waste my money again there and have to repeatedly deal with cracked screens so I took my daughters iphone and left. I have placed a plastic covering over the screen as the crack is sharp and I am concerned about the shards of screen material going in our fingers. Seems to do the trick for now. I'm pretty sure I could have done that with the last screen that was cracked before I spent $50. On the bright side, he did give me a $5 discount, from Yelp, at the time of the repair. The wasted repair was $50 instead of $55 which would have been a blessing if their replacement screens held up for more than two days. I am very disappointed to have to give this small business a bad review as it came highly recommended to me from a friend. I would NOT recommend Custom iphone & Repairs. Highly recommend these guys. The power button broke on my iphone 5 a month after warranty expired. (Common problem on these phones). Apple store wanted $300 to replace it. These guys were able to fix it for much less. Tremendous savings. After they fixed it, noticed the mute button wasn't working correctly so they replaced that too free of charge. Phone is good as new. Dropped my iPhone 6 yesterday afternoon and the screen was damaged. Could still see the image on the screen and all touch options still worked. Brought it here and they would not honor the Yelp promotion for 10% off any service for checking in, because it states "some exclusions may apply" and the iPhone 6 screen repair is one of them. Charged me $93 total. In the parking lot after I left, my phone flashed the Apple logo while I was using it and once it returned to the main screen, my contacts were all deleted and it would not pair to my car's Bluetooth. Went right back in and Kenneth told me there was nothing he could do. Asked for compensation--in the form of refund or even store credit and he said no. I brought my iphone5 in for water damage, and was told its $25 to open it, take a look, and clean it out. ok great. I get it back later that day and it was working, I was told nothing needed to be replaced. After getting it back, I shut it off and it wouldn't turn back on. They say to bring it back in the next day as they were about to close for the evening. They tell me the next day I need to replace the front camera and so I allow them to. $40, okay whatever. I need my phone for a trip. I get the phone back and it works, but when I go to make a call I can not hear unless it's on speaker. Another issue. They want me to bring it back again. They fix that problem as well and the phone works for almost 2 days then shuts off and doesn't work again. They have me bring it back again for possible battery issue, they then change the battery and it turned on then I guess off again and tell me there is nothing more they can do it's all been done. Even tried restoring it. At this point I'm so exhausted and over it I just leave. I was not offered a refund for the parts I bought that we're meant to "fix the phone" or anything. Shit they could have taken the parts back for all I care, I can't use them anyway. (Maybe they did who knows). I understand water damage is tricky, but they should have just been straight from the beginning. It wasn't until today that I was told they don't even save about half of water damaged phones. An apple employee, who is a friend of mine, advised me that you can't fix a water damaged phone. It's basically just like putting a bandaid on. I know apple would not advise anyone to go to repair places as it takes their business, but bottom line is it's true. I am out $75 and have no phone still. Take it from me and don't go here or anywhere for that matter for water damage, because it might work for a day, but it won't last and you will be out a pretty penny. It was a headache having to go back and forth so many times, have it work then not work, lose money, and my time. Just don't. read more

I'm very upset with this business. My phone screen became loose after spending $93 on getting my screen replaced. The screen became kind of springy and was not flush! Literally a few days later, I went to pick my phone up which was on the couch (on a soft surface????) and part of the corner had cracked and a piece of the screen fell off. I taped it back on with tape and the rest of the screen is gradually cracking without me even dropping it or giving it any hard impact. I gave them a call and explained the situation mentioning I thought the glue had not been applied properly, which allowed the glass to be much more easily breakable, and he said they didn't use glue they used clips. When I took it in however, their excuse was the glue (thought they didn't use glue?!?!) must have melted in the heat and the crack was a heat crack. Whatever that is! When I mentioned It hadn't been in the sun nor had overheated I was told it was my fault, they do not do warrantys and that they would not fix it! They offered me 10% off to fix a screen which they didn't fit properly. Thanks for that. So kind of you! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, TERRIBLE CHEAP PARTS AND RUDE STAFF WHO LIE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. DO NOT USE!!!! Pay the extra $50 and get it fixed with apple who have a warranty and much stronger glass which only Apply supply. Very upset as $90 is a lot of money and it'll take me a while to save up to get it fixed again :( read more

I took my brother's 4s phone that was badly damaged. The LCD screen was messed up. Different color lines were showing on the screen and nothing on the screen could be seen except for those lines. Home button was also missing. Based on reviews I took my brothers phone here and the guy said it would take 45 min to fix, sweet! I initially was only going to fix the LCD, but the home button was only $10 more dollars so got that repaired as well. $55 to fix the LCD, $10 for home button. Yelp check in discount. Total was around $62 dollars. Good deal I think. For later models like 6, 6s, 6 plus it will be a little more than what I paid FYI. read more

They can get the job done if you are looking for a quick fix, but they do it by cutting corners. I went in to get my iPhone 5 screen replaced (which I have done before myself, so I know the process) and everything seemed good. About 2 days later my phone battery was acting up so I took my phone apart to see what was wrong and I noticed missing parts. At least 4 screws are missing. These are a pain to put back in place as I have experienced so my guess is they put 1 in to hold it together and close up the phone screen, knowing that almost everyone won't be able to tell the difference. This is not detrimental to your phone but it is not okay to have your phone returned to you missing some parts. read more

Came here to fix my mini iPad bc needed a new LCD. Surprisingly did not have the parts on hand... They said can fix by end of day. Said it was going to be $139. Their website said $119. When my husband called, they told him that the price on the website was wrong. Sounded a little shady. There's a 10% for yelpers. .. Almost didn't get bc he said my mini iPad was a custom fix, but he said that he'd give it to me anyways. Was thankful, but confused bc didn't know what made my iPad fix "custom." With everything it was $129. I think they did a good job, but don't set your price expectation based on their site. Would I come back.. not sure. Would check elsewhere first... read more
