Went here to have a piece on my iPhone 5 fixed. One store, said that I needed to replace the whole back cover. Told me that it was going to take 2-3 hours to fix. I didn't have that kind of time. Went to yelp and found this place. Explained what was wrong and said that they could fix it in less than an hour. 30 minutes or less later my phone was as good as new. Come to find out the other phone store ordered the wrong piece to repair my phone. If (hoping that I don't) have to get my phone fixed again I will definitely be coming here although it's a little out of my way!!! Thanks guys!!! read more

I was referred to Will at Custom Iphones from a mutual friend and have located a trustworthy and competent service provider for my Iphone 6 plus issues. My wife's phone presented her with a no power to the device and unfortunately she had not backed up all of the family pictures and documents and became very distressed about losing her family memories. I went to several other shops and received the usual that all was lost and forget about it and maybe buy a new one from us. Some serious up-selling to a distresses customer. This is when I learned of Will, and he said to bring the phone in and he would take a look at it. After a day of reviewing his initial thoughts was also it appears that all was lost. I called him back and asked again for any extra effort maybe or someone else could help and he said bring it back in and the rest is Magic! He sent it to another colleague and they jointly were able to save my wife's phone and all of her data. I cannot thank them enough. They may have had to perform board level component soldering or replacement but am not sure, just thankful! It is people like this that show compassion about our phone issues and go the extra yard for you. Didn't charge me and fixed my phone. :) My Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge had a bent pin, so it couldn't charge with a cable. I wasn't able to fix it, so I went here hoping they could. The guy wasn't sure, but he managed to straighten it out so it charges again. He refused payment, though. Admittedly, it was pretty quick for him to do the fix, but I wasn't able to do it, so I was willing to pay. Totally nice guy and I am sure they can handle more complex repairs. read more

I was unlucky enough to shatter my iPhone screen by dropping it on the tile floor. I went to custom iPhone for repair and they told me it would be done within 30 minutes. When I went back, they informed me that there was an issue when trying to fix my phone. While it is not fun to have an issue with your phone I do appreciate they took full responsibility and sent my phone to a specialist to be fixed. While my phone was out for repair, they did lend me a replacement phone which was very hopeful. Although fixing the cracked screen was a little more complicated than I expected, I appreciated the shops honesty, hard work, and high expectations for their end product. I would not hesitate to use them in the future if need be! My phone is fully functional now with no problems. read more

This business was/is fantastic. In just under half an hour I was able to have the screen of my iPhone 5 replaced for about $70, without any hassle. I had spiderweb-cracked the face of my phone the day before by letting it faceplant in a parking lot and didn't want to have to play with the hassle of using a phone with a cracked screen. Had a cracked screen and couldn't hear well when speaking on the phone. I came today right at opening time, 10am. Upon opening, Lorne greeted me and asked what I needed done. I told him about the screen and the earpiece. He quoted me options for a new iPhone 6s screen, both original parts and after market. I think the original screen was $85, but I got the aftermarket for $65. This was one of the best prices I could find. Also, I came here from San Pedro because the had listed on the website that they replace earpieces and speakers. Lorne quoted me or a new earpiece but he said he would check to see if it actually needed to be replaced. It turns out I didn't need a new earpiece. I'd come back here for life just because of the fact that he could have charged me for a new earpiece but didn't. Not sure if he fixed it or cleaned it or what, but all I know is he was upfront and honest. The best part, I was there at 10am and I am across the street bow, my car is going through the carwash, and I am finishing writing this review at 10:45am. I cracked my screen again so I brought it back for another replacement. Although the customer service is always good, I noticed this time that my screen was coming up a little on the bottom after I picked it up. (I should mention that the guy who usually works on my phone wasn't the one i saw putting it back together.) I didn't think anything of it because it wasn't interfering with the function of the phone. My husband pointed out that there is a tiny screw missing on the bottom where the screen is coming up. No big deal... Until my daughter dropped my phone on a table (not even the floor) and the part of my phone where the screen was coming up, cracked. The bumper couldn't protect the screen because it was raised. I messaged the business about the screw and they told me to bring it in, so I did. The guy was very nice and said "oh, we must've forgot to put the screw back or didn't tighten it enough." Unfortunately, we won't be going back to this place because I paid to have my screen fixed only to have it break on me again due to a careless error on their part. Going to find somewhere else to fix my screen... Again. read more

I am extremely impressed with the service here. I had always thought that the Apple Store was the only place to have my repairs done. So I have always made an appointment a week out and waited there for an hour or two to have a screen replaced. This time, my iPhone 6 screen cracked two days after Apple's last repair. But, I didn't want to deal with the hassle so I just dealt with it for 9 months. I finally had some time off of work, so I scheduled an appointment at the Apple Store. I went in, dropped off my phone and came back an hour later. When I came back, I was told that my screen was not replaceable. The tech said that he tried two different screens and the phone wouldn't accept either of them. So he handed back my cracked iPhone and offered my only other option which was to buy a $300 refurbished phone. I said no thanks and walked out. But, now the phone won't turn on so I went back in and a tech took it back. He brought it back out and it was working again, but the home button didn't click, it felt weird. The phone was only cracked before, it never had any other issues. A week later while at a meeting, my phone just has a few black bars on it. I try resetting it and nothing works. The phone wouldn't power back on at all. So I try calling Apple and they said they could get me an appointment in three days to help me out. They won't accept responsibility even though I explain that the phone worked flawlessly until they touched it, it was just cracked. Now that I have nothing to lose I start looking around and low and behold there is a company called Custom iPhones and Repairs that has a ton of very satisfied customers so I figure I'll give it a shot. I came in and I was told it was $115 and about 30 minutes or so. When I came back in I was very happy to see my phone working again. These guys have truly opened my eyes and I'm am extremely happy to ay I'm no longer a slave to the Apple Store. I always hated the idea of giving Apple anymore of my money. read more
