I tried the Mac and cheese pizza with the bacon on the side because I'm vegetarian (my boyfriend and I were sharing--he is not vegetarian). It was my first Mac and cheese pizza I've ever tried. It was pretty delicious. The only thing I would say it was lacking was maybe an herb topping or herb oil for some freshness. The chipotle aioli gave it a delicious smoky flavor that paired perfectly with the cheeses. It's a pretty filling pizza for one person. Buyer beware!!! They have massively reduced the size of their pizza. We ordered a LARGE pizza. Shocked by the reduced size when we got it home. It looked like a small/medium pizza. When we called to see if it was a mistake, we were told it was "because of inflation and hadn't received our smaller pizza boxes yet". Smaller boxes? To deceive customers? They admitted their large went from 17" to 14" yet same price. While I do understand inflation and increased costs and supply chain issues, simply inform customers of your changes. They're pizza never failed us. Our favorite pizza used to be Amici's pizza in northern California. Unfortunately they don't have any here in SoCal (don't be confused with Ameci's) because Amici's has small, diced potatoes as one of their toppings and pan fried gnocchi in pesto sauce. If you know anything about me (which you probably don't cause this is Yelp but I'll fill you in) it's that I freaking LOVE pizza. I have it like 4 or 5 times a month and I would probably marry it if I could. When I came to Custom Pie for the first time, that took my love for pizza to a whole new height and, to be honest, I don't know if I could ever love another pizza as much as I love theirs. TL;DR? This place is fantastic. The pizza they make here is Godly. It's out-of-this-world good. So good, we went back the next day to get more. It's THAT good. If you haven't picked up by now, this was easily some of the best pizza I've ever had. In my opinion, it falls somewhere between delivery pizza and artisan pizza -- you know, the kind that they make in a burning oven right in front of you? It's basically artisan pizza at or below delivery price you can get delivered to you. Win, win, win. We opted to eat there for the first visit and man, it was so good. Cheese was melted, sauce fantastic, and toppings thoroughly cooked. The pizza is a thinner crust, but the bottom slightly crispy. Just perfect! Two weeks in a row going to Custom Pie. New owner named Jacob who is eager to please and hear feedback. Dan who works there recommended the Diablo and Sophia pizzas as well as the wine we drank and not only did they not disappoint, but they far surpassed expectations. I can't wait to order from here again. They delivered the pizzas earlier than the estimated time. Any Italian place that uses San Marzano tomato's is already headed in the right direction. Their homemade sausage that comes on the pizza is incredible. And the grilled onions and peppers were perfect. I forget the name of the pizzas we got but one had cherry tomatoes and arugula pesto (YUM) The other had the sausage, salami, grilled onions and peppers.... Or something like that. It was to die for. Next time I would get rid of the salami and add ricotta cheese. FYI: This is the first time I have eaten meat in years and their sausage was absolutely worth it. I seriously can't say enough good things about this place. But let's try. First off I'm new to the area. Moved near the college about a month ago and just now am getting unpacked. (Work and all). With that as well as having some renovations done to the kitchen, leaving me to eat out more than I would like. I'm from Thousand Oaks/Agoura Hills area so I'm used to places the usual pizza places. This place blew me away. The pizzas are hands down one of the best. The tomato sauce is excellent; robust, rich, and flavorful. The cheeses (yes multiple kinds) they use for their pizzas are absolutely amazing. The taste just instantly hits your taste buds with delicious joy. They have many specialty pizzas that I'm excited to try over the next few years. Their pastas are incredible as well. I've had the lasagna and the spaghetti and meatballs. Omfg. Let me say; you can certainly judge a place by their meatballs. And these are some of the best I've ever had. All I have to say is try it, you WONT be sorry. I'll wrap this up cuz I know it's long. Wings: epic with multiple flavor options. Salads super super fresh; almost like they plucked the leafy greens from their own dang garden out back! Huge selection of beer on tap since there's a bar next door (hence the name).
