Been there twice. The first time I was overcharged by 11 bucks, and they did resolve it before I left. The food is wonderful but if you order in person you will wait till ALL of the grub hub orders are filled before starting yours. They are clearly promoting the grub hub business platform. Personally don't care to have anyone handling my food, and don't want it rolling around in some unknown persons car. I was referred to this place by two friends. This is a locally owned business with a sister restaurant in the same development called Custom Melt. This is a great little wood fired pizza place. It is small and comfortable. The staff here is very friendly, helpful, and service oriented. The pizza's are hand made, use fresh ingredients, and are cooked to perfection in their wood fired oven, which you can see from your table. The location and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. The salads are crazy good and one will feed multiple people as ours did. The pizza was cooked perfectly and you could tell the difference the wood fire provided. I have never been crazy about wood fired ovens before, only in that I have never had a wood fired oven pizza. I will now have trouble going back to conventional oven pizza. They also serve gelato and have other desserts. The chef comp'd us a nice tiramisu dessert which was a nice touch. They do not serve alcoholic beverages at this location yet. I have heard they are working on this. I was eager to try a local micro brew that the Custom Melt restaurant serves. Prices are very reasonable. We ate for about $28 and had we been about any other local pizza place it would have been $40. I am a new fan and plan on checking in here often. read more

Came in to this place, I believe one time the owners were different. They have new owners now, I came about 40 mins before closing, I wanted to watch the rest of the laker game. OMG! Where do I start? Ok, first of all the staff was UBER accommodating to us. They saw us leave CUSTOM MELTS (they also own this restaurant) and told us that if we want to intermingle the menus from both places then it will be delivered to us after it's ready. After we ordered and sat down, the staff asked us if we were still interested in some chili cheese fries that my friend wanted from the other restaurant and I told her that I didn't know if my friend still wanted them but I would ask and she said she would go get us something to hold us over and also try that is served at Custom Melts. We've been a huge fan of custom pie for a long time. It's so nice to have a local business with great quality food that's not a chain. It's under new ownership now, and we've noticed a change in the quality. Some of the recipes have changed, even though the menu is the same. The garlic knots (our favorite!!) are heavy and doughy now with a lots less real garlic. They used to be light and fluffy with lots of roasted garlic. I hope this is just "growing pains", because we love the food and want to keep supporting this business. But please don't change the food! read more

We also ordered the garlic cheese bread which comes served with some fresh tomato sauce with garlic. Fantastic pizza. Custom pie specializes in a wood fired Neopolitan thin crust pizza. The pizza's are cooked perfectly with an assortment of fresh toppings. We tried the Spinaci and the Puttanesca. The Spinaci features fresh mozzarella, onions and spinach while the Puttanesca features olives and capers. Both were excellent. Also, if you think you don't like brussels sprouts, you should try the roasted brussels sprouts here - they're exceptionally tasty. Custom pie also has a selection of salads and gelatos. I came here for a Yelp Event and thoroughly enjoyed myself. We were served a selection of foods including two or three salads, four pizzas and finally a dessert pizza. My favorites were the grilled asparagus salad, though it could have used a little more of the fresh cheese on top, and the dessert pizza ("campfire" pizza) they served at the end. The one entree pizza I tried was the margarita because the other options were spicy or had garlic, and the margarita was good. It's not my typical choice in pizzas but what it did was make me want to try a truly custom pie next time. I could tell that their ingredients were fresh and flavorful and I want to return to have something more to my tastes made by their chefs. The dessert pizza used their regular dough, baked and then smothered in chocolate and piled with mini marshmallows. Toasted in the oven, the marshmallows were perfect and the chocolate had a good flavor (I've been to other pizza shops that use Hershey's syrup on their dessert pizzas. Gross!) Anyway this Smore's styled pizza was fantastic and I would come here again if I'm in the area, just to eat that. I got a chance to speak to the owner and he was a very cool guy. He listened to my comments and took them to heart. My table had been sort of off in a corner and we hadn't felt the service was totally spot on (we weren't offered all of the things the other tables were) and the owner made sure to let me know that he would make it up to me next time I visit. Overall cozy atmosphere and tasty pizza. I would recommend this and look forward to my next opportunity to eat here. PS the crust is pretty solid - thick and chewy almost like a sourdough of sorts. Custom Pies has proven to be consistent great!! The wood burning oven bakes the crust to perfection, with a crunchiness that isn't often found. The sauce on the Margharita pizza is incredible! And we also had the spinachi and my goodness, in addition to the spinach the roasted onion toppers were a real treat. We also ordered some roasted asparagus which were served on a bed of mixed greens garnished with Parmesan cheese . The kids are their cheese pizza faster than ever! The wood fired pizzas were delicious and the craft beer selection was awesome. The mac and cheese pizza was so good, I couldn't get enough of it. The salad tastes amazing, too.
