I've been here about 4 times and they always do a wonderful job! I am still going back because my gel nail manicures stay on not lifting for 3-4 weeks!!!! I have been to so many places and they lift at 2 weeks. TOM always does my nails and he is awesome at painting. He has really good painting skills. Everyone's really nice there. There used to be 4 technicians now there are 3 since one was pregnant and possibly have birth. My gel manicures are $22. I always make an appointment just in case it is busy. They don't rush their work even if there are others waiting. I like that. The shop is in an older shopping plaza, but all of their tools are in sealed sanitizing bags. I love that. Most Asian nail owned spas don't have that. I will continue to be a loyal customer if they continue to be sanitary and good work that lasts making it worth my money. read more

Ugh. I never write bad reviews. I was skeptical at first, don't judge a book by its cover I was saying. It's been 4 days since I got my pedicure there. My left toe is still swollen in the cracks, painful to walk on and now it's starting to have a weird discharge. I've never had this problem before in my life. I jerked several times when the guy that was helping me, name was Xuan I Heard them call him. He unnecessarily cut into my side toenails and Soo far in the cracks. Love this place! First time coming here in so long because of the pandemic but it's still my favorite place to go. For safety, they use plastic dividers between the nail artist and client which feels a lot safer. Tom always shapes, files, and colors my nails so well. I walked in today on my lunch hour, no appointment, and wanted a full set and pedicure. They took me right away. Pedicure was great and the nice woman who did them is ah-maze-ing! My nails were done with the young man in the front. He didn't say much other than to ask me if my phone was the new iPhone 6. I told him I wanted flat black flare tips and a bow. When he painted them glossy black, I got a little nervous, but when he busted out with the matte clear coat...I was stoked! My nails look ridiculously cool...and for only $32! I tend to only get my nails done once a month so I love how I can always count on young money to take care of me. Andy is awesome and knows what he is doing. They are quick, friendly and clean! Not the hype people say it is. I had an appointment, made to wait for 20 minutes and at that there was another customer there when I arrived who also had an appointment and they forgot about her. She ended up leaving, I should have left too. They cut my nails so small it hurt, the polish work is shorty, my nails weren't even dried and I was being rushed out the door. My nails were filed after the polish was on then and "dried". Nails started lifting after a week. Will not be coming back. read more

Especially because I wanted them to look nice during labor with my son and hell, because I was having a baby and wanted to get pampered before hand. This review is about the service and results: I haven't had my nails done (by a professional) in ages. Went here recommended by a co-worker since I was looking for quality work and nothing too expensive. I got fiberglass done and the process was about an hour. I came in with a picture of the shape of nails I was aiming for. It's not the exact shape, but I'm happy with it for my first time going there. I did call for an appointment as they do get busy due to walk-ins in the early evening. I have to get used to wearing nails, but for the price, the work was great! My next visit, I do want to try to aim closer to the original nail shape I want, but I realized that the nail needs to be longer. Call ahead for an appointment and tip in cash (they ask you to pay before painting your nails), they really appreciate tips in cash. They deserve it! =] read more

I found Vicky through a friend who raves about her and have always loved my gfs nails. I gave Vicky a shot considering I always do my own gel nails at home which lasts for over two weeks. I just didn't have the time and patience anymore. Vicky listens to everything that I want, as I am very picky with my nails. I went in around 3pm on a Monday, no wait. Showed them a picture on their yelp of pink & white ombré nails I wanted. Also requested a pedicure. First, they were running late and did not call to tell me (but said they did). And, then... attitude. This place is a hidden gem. I've lived in this area for a long time and have struggled to find a nail place as great as Happy Nails! The nail techs are very talented in what they do. I always get Stiletto style, and love nail art. Lynn does an absolutely amazing job with nail art. Show her a picture and she can do it. Tom is very detail oriented with the style and shape of the nails. They truly make you feel comfortable and ensure that you are leaving with the best nails in town! I had a great pedicure as well, didn't catch his name. Great massage! I haven't had any waxing services, but the times I've been in there, it seems like they are popular for waxing. This is my third or fourth visit to Happy Nails & Spa. I personally ask for Tom every time because I enjoy his work. Everytime I've been met with fast, friendly, and professional service exceeding my expectations. The prices are extremely reasonable. My previous nail technician never charged me less than $40. Here at Happy Nail's I've never paid more than that. On my most recent visit (pictures attached) I showed Tom the first picture and the other two were the final result. I specified I like my acrylics coffin shaped but also very squared off the top. He did this for me and added $3 to the total for the extra work which was reasonable. I was charded $17 for this fill!! Wonderful results and it fit my budget. One downside to this location is that it is very outdated and isn't kept as clean as it could be. However, they only have three nail technicians working here so I've deemed this a reasonable effort for three people. They are also always available for the exact time I request when I call which is extremely convenient. Thanks Happy Nails!! I'm a happy returning customer. read more

I was doing a lot a research on nail places in Sac and I came across this place. It had really good reviews but what won me over was the nail pictures done by Tom. His work seemed very good so I decided to give this place a chance and I'm so glad I did. He did exactly what I wanted. And he is so maticulous about the shape. I've never seen someone buffer and shape as much as he did in order to get it perfect. He even checked to see if I like my nails before he cured them in the L.E.D light. I also got a pedi here and was rather relaxing and again they checked to see if I liked the color before curing. Overall I would say give this place a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised. read more

I was a little upset when I left though, because I realized the top coat wasn't completely dry on two nails so lint got on them LOL but they weren't completely ruined. Don't waste your money here. Von did an acrylic overlay on my natural nails & they turned out terrible. He filed my nails crooked and coated the powder on way too thick. My mistake was giving him the benefit of the doubt and believing he would he was going to drill them down to make them look more natural. He did a half ass job as I am still picking acrylic off my cuticles and the paint job didn't help. When I went back to complain the woman claimed at first the Von could fix only the crooked fingers and then said nothing could be done when she realized they were my natural nails (that's how wide/thick they look).
