Great service! Made reservations for 9, for my brother's birthday, and we had a great time. Self parking is a little tight but they do offer complimentary valet parking. I opted out because I was going to be switching my heels before going in. Once our party arrived it was only about a minute till we were seated. I wasn't too fond of where they had us seated, right in front of the kitchen pass (food/order window). It was very busy with a lot of staff going back and forth. But on a positive note it was neat to see the kitchen do their thing and the dry age fridges. We started off with two waiters helping our table but ended up with one. Waters were filled and drink orders were taken quickly. It did take a few to get apps and entrées orders taken so we put those orders in at the same time. Being a large group we ordered quite a bit of dishes but just to name a few, for starters we ordered the cuts steak bites, tuna tataki, tomato avocado salad, and a couple spinach dips. Entrées; 3 dry aged tomahawks uncut, fried lobster tail, ribeye with lobster, shrimp and grits, salmon, short ribs, and the surf and turf. That wasn't all we ordered but I want to say most of all we ordered. So that I'm not writing a novel I'll just comment on the best dishes and the least favorites. For appetizers the best was definitely the tuna tataki. We really wanted to order more of it but we still had more food coming. The least favorite and most disappointing was the steak bites. Under the description is says NY strip so I assumed it was going to be a NY Strip cut into bite sizes. It was 5 bites of a NY Strip.. For $22 I gave it the benefit of doubt and assumed AGAIN that maybe it was AT LEAST prime grade bites. I was wrong. They were definitely not prime grade but only choice. I didn't want steak but because it was a steak house I figured I could at least get a steak appetizer and that totally backfired on me. LOL For our mains everyone liked the $120 40 day aged tomahawks but my husband actually ages his own ribeyes and tomahawks so honestly we weren't too impressed. They were aged well and cook perfectly to temp. We ordered one rare and two med rare. Getting 3 different tomahawks we were also able to see the physical size differences in each order when comparing to the boards they're served on. But I'm sure they're cut by weight right...? Because the birthday boy's tomahawk ended up being the smallest one. LOL Being a set price, not by weight, you would think so. Anyway MY personal favorite was the shrimp and grits. I would go back just for this dish. There were a few bits of shrimp shell in my actual grits or gravy but I eat shelled shrimp sometimes so it didn't bother me too much. The grits were definitely made in house which had me nodding in approval. Not too heavy nor complete mush. I really liked the "bite" of the grits. Buttery, cheesy, and full of flavor. Honestly the dish was a little salty but I wasn't mad. Just drank a little water after every other bite. The shrimps were beautiful. The sauce was rich and I really enjoyed the addition of the tomatoes. I savored each little bit of sweet acidity. Overall food was very good, service was also very great. There is supposedly a dress code, but we did see a lot of people in the establishment wearing sweats and sneakers so that definitely clashed with the ambience they try to maintain. At one point the manager even made his way to come check on our table asking how everything was and if we needed anything. Lots of kudos for that. Had yet another great experience at Cuts last night! Started at the bar with Kate. She made me a delicious Grey Goose lemon drop martini. Then our party moved to the dining room where Jennifer was our server, with Ricardo assisting. They were both fantastic and very alert to our wants and needs! Jennifer is so wonderfully friendly and helpful. We're had wedge salads to start...perfectly fresh and tasty. Then three of our party had some type of steak entree and I had the special lobster pappardelle. Everything was delicious! We didn't have any leftovers!! We finished with strawberry sundaes...The perfect ending to the meal!! We've been to Cuts a few times and it's always a winner. SO glad I chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner! My first time there, and it was excellent in every way. Had such a fun evening: Atmosphere: Very nice! Some roomy, circular booths. So comfortable. Service: Jonathon greeted me by name when I arrived with a "happy birthday" and checked on us during our meal. When we left four hours later (we went to the lounge after dinner), he actually came outside to tell us goodby and again wish me happy birthday. Such a nice man who obviously loves his job. We came here on a whim and were very pleasantly surprised! The service is the best we've ever had at a steakhouse. Our server Philip was very knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. Lovely restaurant. Came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my husband and I have birthday the same week! The appetizers were great. My husband had the steak empanadas and I had the crab cake. Both delicious. They also provide complementary bread and butter. Always love it when i find a restaurant that hits the mark on both food and ambiance! The food surpassed my expectations in every area - dishes and cocktails were delicious across the board (including sides and appetizers.) Enjoyed the live music! We were there with a larger group (group of 9) - and the only hiccup was that the main entrees came out way way too fast. They pretty much came out maybe 5 minutes after the appetizers - so it felt quite rushed. I would definitely like to go back to this restaurant though! This is truly a hidden gem in Suwannee. I popped in to check out the lounge and bar area I had heard about. This location is stunning. Beautifully appointed with light fixtures and elegant decor for the savvy diner. The lounge is tucked away and has its own bar. I sat at the bar. My bartender was Corey. He was so polite, attentive and efficient. He knew the menu well and did a great job with recommendations. I had the trio appetizer dish. It was delicious; Chef's kiss. I'm not a fan of their sides but that's just me. The second time I had the short ribs. If you get this ask for extra gravy - especially if you plan to take leftovers home. The star of this place is the empanadas. To die for!!! I now stop by there to just order that and the short ribs to go right before work. They are so flavorful. I am now spoiled for any other empanadas out there. Reservations were at 930 we got there about 40 minutes early and they have a lounge area where there is live music 1st come seating appetizers and drinks so it's almost like there was no wait at all. All of this was top tier! Now let's get to the food.... The spinach dip appetizer was good the potato chips were not probably be 100x better if they used some type of pita bread. I ordered the bone in ribeye it just tasted like a piece of meat there was absolutely no flavor or seasoning on that steak I didn't bother to send it back I just ate at expensive flavorless meat. The bacon side addition was excellent! The spinach was also good the mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes out of a box. My guest had the smaller boneless ribeye and it had flavor and seasoning so I guess it's "hit and miss". Food are all ok, except the steak, the main thing that we are excited for. It's too salty for us with a lot of unrefined salt sticked well on the top. We came here for our 3 years anniversary, but no one asked us anything, the server is really careless about us. He asked the next table and took care very detail for them, kept checking and returning a lot to that table but not us. No refill our water for about 15', didn't say anything or try to understand how we feel after we said this is the saltiest steak we've ever had, didn't try to help me pack the food, gave us the receipt with no pen to sign, we had to look for another server to help. My husband and I came here for date night this past weekend and we really enjoyed it. We didn't have a reservation but made a last minute one with the hostess. While we waited for our table we went to the bar to have a drink. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. I wanted a non-alcoholic drink and he was able make me their signature mocktail. My husband asked for a Manhattan and he said the bartender made it perfectly. Our table was ready earlier than estimated where we enjoyed exceptional service from our server Jennifer. The steak burger is topped with the most magnificent house made bacon. It is so tender it will melt in your mouth. My husband ordered the cilantro fries for his side. I have never had cauliflower taste so amazing. I tasted my husband's cilantro fries and they were very good. Excited to celebrate our anniversary at "Sugarloaf's Upscale steakhouse". Decor and ambiance was nice. First impression was this is going to special. Unfortunately the first impression was almost the only thing that was special. Steaks are "upper choice" (or a similar tag) grade - which is still choice grade. Prime grade steaks were on the special menu. Caprese salad and crab cake for starters. Salad - meh but nice presentation. Crab cake very good. I ordered prime filet & lobster tail. My wife had the prime cowgirl ribeye. Shared whipped potatoes and heirloom carrots for sides. My steak was good - not great. Fried lobster tail rescued my meal. Her steak was average at best and clearly resembled a choice cut but was supposed to be prime. Flavor on her ribeye was non-existent and my prime filet's was OK. My wife swore the potatoes were instant whipped - but we didn't ask. The use of serving boards for the meals is a cute but impractical practice as you could only fit a tiny side portion on the space. Didn't order desserts as the meal left us wanting to head home. We did receive 2 complementary glasses of prosecco (champagne) 2@$6.50 to recognize our anniversary which was nice. Service was good but not stellar. After having eaten at a legendary Atlanta steakhouse only 2 weeks before we were expecting this to be competitive based on the hype, pricing and our meal choices. Unfortunately, unless and until Cuts steps up their game and steak grades, we will continue to make the drive to ATL for special occasions. For almost the exact same $$$ spent the ATL quality was off the charts better than this. Went for an anniversary dinner this past Saturday evening. I apologize I don't remember the servers name, but it was TEAM 6. From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted till the time we left everything was top notch. The server was very attentive and insured that we wanted for nothing. We had Fried green tomatoes as an appetizer then we both had a filet and I added a lobster tail with mine and we split the side of asparagus and for dessert we had the red velvet cake which was huge had to take some home. Another stellar experience at Cuts Sugarloaf. We appreciate the upscale ambiance while still feeling at home. As a wine lover, I appreciate the appropriate use of good stemware. The wine list here is outstanding and they have specials on bottles on Wednesdays. Servers Joey and Jennifer were a fantastic team. We never waited or wanted for anything. The food is the real star here - Goat Cheese Fritters are a family favorite to start. We all had steaks and they were cooked to medium rare perfection. You really can't go wrong with steak here, whatever cut you prefer. The sides are generous and great for sharing. We stuck to garlic mashed potatoes and pimento mac and cheese this time but we've never gone wrong with anything we've ordered. My sons added the thick cut fatback bacon to their orders and said it was a perfect match with the steak. When they say "Thick Cut" they aren't kidding! I added shrimp to my petite filet and they were jumbo sized and perfectly cooked. We finished dinner by sharing the chocolate mousse cake. This monster is HUGE and the three of us were barely able to finish it. Definitely the right pick for chooclate lovers. Manager stopped by to make sure we were happy with our experience. So my boyfriend and I decided to go to Cuts for my birthday and it was good! The drinks were nice and strong. I got an espresso martini and I couldn't believe how good it was. The Caesar salad was AMAZING! I would seriously recommend getting it. The other sides were okay. I truly enjoyed the mashed potatoes but the Mac and cheese and sautéed spinach were ehhh. I would not get those if I returned. Now the steak was pretty decent. Even though we ordered it medium I felt it was a bit over cooked. But still, it was good. Hubby is always on the hunt for a good steakhouse and was considering their downtown location and was pleasantly surprised to see they opened a location in Suwanee just 2 weeks ago. This is closer to us and typically less traffic so it was a no brainer. Our reservation was early evening so we had no problem parking in front however they do offer valet parking. The space is very nice with stylish modern decor, a large fireplace and full bar. There was also live music. Overall a relaxed ambience. From the moment we were seated the service was exceptional. Two friendly servers introduced themselves right away and they both remained attentive throughout the night while not being overbearing, just perfect. They had previously tried many of the menu items and made great recommendations. Fortunately for us they were spot on starting with the appetizer special, short rib empanadas (2) -$15. They were so good we almost ordered more but wanted to save room for the main course and plus we were already chowing down on the complimentary bread service. We also had one of the best spinach dip w/ chips - $12, and a Caesar salad - $10, as starters. The entrees also did not disappoint; lamb chops - $36, and prime ribeye - $58. Separate sides were garlic mashed potatoes and pimento Mac & cheese - each $8 and asparagus w/ hollandaise sauce - $10. My favorite side was actually the creamy cauliflower the lamp chops were served over. Finally we ended the meal with a great creme brûlée - $9, apple cobbler à la mode - $10, and a large doggie bag. Been wanting to dine at Cuts since it has opened and finally decided to have a girls night out here. I was running a few minutes behind so I decided to give them a call and was pleasantly surprised when I spoke with Jonathan who is the Guest Services Manager. He was delighted that I took the time to call and was very friendly and assured me that he had a great table waiting for me....NICE TOUCH! Upon walking in we were greeted by Jonathan and OMG the decor was simply amazing & he even took us on a tour! He seated us at a table that was right in front of the open kitchen where we could watch the magic happen. Right next to the kitchen we're dry aged cases of meat on the wall (super impressive). We started the night with fun cocktails, mocktails, and appetizers. All were pretty tasty but the crab cakes were way too tiny and needed more moistness but luckily it wasn't too much filler. The ceviche was fresh and tangy but the presentation took it over the top! For entrees we ordered twin lobster tails, lamb chops, and filet mignon oscar'd. Sides were haricots (green beans) & brussels, and also loaded garlic mash. The good: Filet & Lamb Chops perfectly cooked to temperature and very tasty The bad: Lobster Tails were extra breaded & bland The ehh: Garlic Mash was underwhelming (should have skipped) crème brûlée (thinly crusted/bland), and apple cobbler which should be renamed pecan cobbler (there were no apples to be found) Our waiter Alfonso didn't know the menu so it was always a wait after we asked a question because he had to keep running to the back to get our answers. We hosted our Northside Anesthesia department holiday party here this year. We had ~75 guests take up the pasture area. This is the cocktail lounge area in their restaurant. They have live music on Saturday nights. It is phenomenal. What a vibe for a Saturday night. The restaurant owners and managers did a fantastic job hosting this event for us. From the moment I arrived, I instantly knew they were ready to host our large party. They had 2 managers, the beautiful Brittany and Vincent, keeping the night flowing seamlessly with drinks and hors d'oeuvres passed around left and right. Jonathan is the bar manager, and his bar staff was excellent in serving drink after drink for hours with big smiles keeping all of our party extra happy! The hor deurves were all excellent. We had a mixture of fried green tomatoes, steak skewers, chicken skewers, mushroom bruschetta, sliders, and empanadas. All of them were excellent! My favorites were the fried tomato and empanadas. Overall, the food, service, and ambiance were excellent. I am very impressed how well they handled a large crowd. My party all came up to me to tell me it was an excellent venue and party.
