My husband and I drove onto this lot just as they were closing. It was drizzling and we weren't completely sure of what type of vehicle we were looking to buy. So we were in the shopping phase. Although we had a salesperson from another lot under the same Cutter Auto umbrella, Elliot, the salesperson at Honolulu Mazda, helped us anyway. He was not at all pushy. He asked questions, we answered. He listened to us and allowed us to go look at the inventory all the while answering our questions. Mind you, the lot is closed. He also said upfront that he would not impose on our salesperson, RayRay, who was working with us. He just said that he'd help us. We've had other salespersons say ok and then walk away. He stayed with us and walked around the lot. After we left, my husband and I talked about how professional, helpful, and honest he was. Should you want a Mazda or a car from the Cutter Honolulu Mazda lot, he is the person to see. He listens, gives you time to look, gives suggestions. Once again I want to thank Greg Bergantinos for his excellent customer service every time I bring my car for service. Even though I had appointment made they were really busy and Greg took the time to explain the possibility of a long wait time due to other Mazda dealership was not accepting appointments due to worker shortage. In less then one hour my car was done and Greg took the time to explained to me what was done and what needed to be done on my next visit. They sale your car without letting you know every single detail & with the registration expiring a month later (which they make you pay) F***** up and if we had a problem with a car that needs to be looked at IMMEDIATELY, we can't cause they're fully booked for the next month or so. First of, let me tell you who my person was! His name is AMAR SHORT. Tall young fellow, who was all warm greetings and respect toward you. Not just as a customer but as a person, a human being. 1st experience: 2016 Mazda 3 a year ago - the previous car I had owned was a silver 2012 Honda Accord EX-L. I was told about Cutter Honolulu because of a referral. I went down to the dealership about two weeks later to check out this place! I test drive about two cars, Mazda 3 and Mazda 6. Both sport models. I hated my bucket seat car, so low. And also I had been driving my grandmother around. So I needed higher seats. I ended up getting the 2016 Mazda 3 Sport level trim. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the car. Until I went back in a second time to bring my boyfriend to trade in his truck and saw the CX-5. But that's a-whole-nother story. Anyway, my sales person was pretty spaced, he jumped stories a lot and lost trail of what he was talking about. He tried to be connected and interpersonal with me, but from a customer standpoint, all I saw was $$$$ in his eyes. But then again, I was a fool and left the lot with my brand spanking new car! 2nd experience - Tuesday Dec 5 - 2018 Mazda 3 sport with ADDT'L add-ons that a sport doesn't have - blind spot monitoring, Auto rain sensing wipers, rear crosschecking to name a few. My boyfriend liked my car, but now that he has purchased one for an AMAZING price that he didn't have trouble with, he LOVES his car. Why? All thanks to Amar. When we had first drove in, Amar had brought us in like we were family. No kidding he shared his stories, his pictures, and even when I had RBF, he still managed to cut through. That's how great of a person and conversationalist he is. To say that 2016 isn't going as planned would be an understatement, so when I found myself in the market for a car, completely unprepared and unenthused, by the time I made my way to Cutter Mazda I had seen every dirty trick that cars sales people throw at you and was debating becoming one of those people who just take the bus everywhere and beg people for rides. Then I remembered that my job required a car AND I'm too damn lazy and high maintenance to take the bus everywhere, so to Cutter Mazda I went. I showed up at Cutter driving a 2007 Camry Hybrid that went almost ten years with zero issues, and in true form, at the worst possible time, the car decided that it would basically give me the finger and mock me. I was fed up with the car, wanted something that worked, and wanted to find a sales associate who didn't treat me like I was a dumb ass (looking at you Servco Toyota). Those familiar with my parking issues shouldn't be surprised to know I parked two blocks away because I wasn't smart enough to figure out how to get inside their lot. I wandered in and was greeted by Leo who was absolutely fabulous and wonderful. I told him what I was looking for and he brought me the exact thing, no suggestive sales, no pushy sales tactics. When I was the one who asked for a different model, he explained the price difference and then also explained the bells and whistles. When I made the decision to lease my car, Cutter appraised my Toyota and offered me a FAIR price (Toyota had offered me an insulting amount) and worked with me to come to a reasonable price point. They treated me like a customer they wanted to do business with and they at no time made me feel like I was insignificant or that they didn't value my business or my thoughts or opinions. Leo stayed with me the whole time through the negotiation process and was like a little cheerleader which totally helped keep me calm during the process, because let's face it, it's not an easy decision or process. When I picked up my car, Leo taught me how to use the fancy electronics and he even followed up with me a few weeks later to see how I was doing and see if I had any questions about the car. The other sales staff, managers and finance department were also amazing and held my hand through the whole process. I'm back again. Please do not ever use this dealership. When we bought our car, we got a warranty on our tires. We have recently had to fill up our left front tire every day because it keeps going flat. We made an appointment and my husband took off work to go in. They told us they didn't have us in their system. Then they said our tire had a nail in it. It needed completely replaced. Greg told us that we could not use our warranty because they warranty place closed at 1pm and they had to call in to check on it. We got our car less than a year ago! They then tell us they will only fix our tire if we pay out of pocket. We were obviously pissed off because they knew we were coming in because of our tire and we told them we had a warranty. I called them when I got off of work and talked to Kaleo (who is absolutely awful). He said he would talk to the service manager and call us. We didn't receive a response for over a week. I finally got a hold of them and have to go back in tomorrow morning. I'm glad to hopefully get the tire fixed. Moral of the story: dont buy from here. We are looking forward to selling our car and never dealing with Cutter Mazda again. read more

There has been a warranty extension on the dashboards of Mazda 3s from 2011-2013. My car falls in that time slot and I have been trying endlessly to schedule an appointment with the service rep. I have been calling for weeks and weeks and have not been able to get through. I have called at different hours of different days and have left multiple messages asking them to call me back when they have time to call me. I have not gotten a call. When I finally got someone to answer the phone I was talking to someone who had a very rude tone of voice to me and seemed to be fed up with my questions of what I needed to present her in terms of information. I never changed my tone of voice, or was rude at any time as a customer I did not deserve to be treated like that. I dropped my car off at 7:15 on my scheduled date. The shuttle that they provide drops me off downtown for work and I get a call at 9:30 telling me that my car is ready for pickup which is very fast! I set up a shuttle time for 11:30 and I get dropped off at the service center. My car is ready and the work has been done. I sign 3 different papers and I am out of three in a jiffy. I do like the service part and the speed. Setting up the appointment was tough but after that everything was so easy. read more

BLUF: Go ANYWHERE but here for service. I used them twice and found them to be sloppy and inconsiderate both times. The first time, I had the vehicle serviced with the "comprehensive" recommended 50k mileage treatment right after I bought it. The tech was so clueless he failed to notice that the tires needed to be replaced and that the inspection sticker had expired. When I discovered these problems a day later and called for an explanation, I received neither apology nor explanation for their oversights. Despite this, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned for the next scheduled service. My "express" appointment turned into a six-hour marathon because the "technician" broke a wheel stud while removing the wheels to inspect the brakes (because it's too much to expect that the company would actually pay attention to the vehicle service history OR that the "technician would understand the difference between the words "on" and "off" on his impact wrench.). Although I was not charged for the added pleasure of sitting in their waiting area for hours, I was unfailingly addressed as "Bud" by the (dis)service advisor. I love my Mazda but will have it serviced by Servco Subaru in the future so that I can have confidence that the work I've requested is completed correctly. read more

I had the most pleasant dealership experience at this particular dealership while helping my cousin shop for a new car. We were approached by Annie Liu who was super friendly and very helpful. Definitely did not feel any pressure at all and wasn't extremely pushy like the usual sales that you would think you would encounter at a dealership.
