In Charlotte riding around, the city was looking for a quick bite and looked at my list of places to try, and Cuzzo's was in close proximity, so I chose to go there. When I walked inside, it was a lot bigger than the pictures I've seen lead on. There were plenty of seats and a huge bar there as well! Always a pleasant surprise when you can get some drank while you wait for your meal, in my humble opinion, lol.  The decor was cool, and the way it was set up looked like it could get really busy some days, I was there on a Sunday evening, and the weather was not good, so it was light. The restaurant wasn't empty, there was a steady flow of people but it definitely was not busy.  I had plenty of time to look at the menu, which was very simple, nothing too crazy, the cashier took my order, and my food came out at a decent time. Now for the food.......DELICIOUS. I think this was my favorite meal since I have been here in Charlotte, I had the Cuzzo's combo meal, which came with wings, lobster mac and cheese, collard greens, and a lemonade. One word.....flavor! Everything was really good, and I'll be honest I am not hard to please, and I was definitely hungry when I had it, but that does not take away from anything here.  The lobster mac was divine. By far my favorite thing I ate there, if there is one thing you must try there, I recommend the lobster mac.  Oh wow, I had this Pear Lemonade too so good. I am making it a point to go back before I leave, phenomenal!

I didn't order hair.... this was stuck to the container when I opened it. The portion of the lobster mac and cheese was extremely small. I also ordered mambo shrimp and most of the shrimp look like they don't have any mambo sauce on them.

6 wings, side of yams, side of greens, and lemonade.

Way overpriced. Paid $29 for this. It was a take out order and took 15-20mins. The wings were over cooked and dry. The OG Cuzzo's was wayyy better than this location, providing better service and portions for your money. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

With their expansion to the University area, Cuzzo's, a New Orleans-inspired cuisine, teases your taste buds like a proper bowl of shrimp and grits on Fat Tuesday. For my weekday visit, I ordered the Fish and 1/2 Lobster mac-n-cheese platter for lunch. While not exactly a bargain at $13 (plus about a 15-minute wait for it to be prepared) it was, nevertheless, worth it. Really, worth it. The fish is lightly breaded, and with a nice array of spices, allows the flounder to shine without piling on the heat. I like that. The lobster mac-n-cheese is flavorful and creamy, with the pasta cooked a perfect el dente. Although one can never have enough lobster, it was plentiful and tasty, too. So tasty, in fact, that on my next visit I will pre-order a vat of it and make it a Spa Day. Just heat it up and I'll jump in. Yeah, that good. Mmmm. Cuzzo's has other things I'm interested in, too. Wings, chicken, shrimp and grits, and more lobster mac-n-cheese, please. Others have noted they are working out the kinks of a new location. Let's hope they do 'cause they got my "Give 'em a whirl" meter just a humming. Looking for something a little more southern than Charlotte? Go here.

I was so glad that this place came to university because it saved us the 25 minute drive to the other location! It is much bigger, has a bar area, and a lot of tables compared to the other one. The staff was really friendly and many servers checked up on us while we waited. The only issue I had was that the food took 30+ minutes to come out, and at the other location they are pretty fast. Everything here tastes amazing, great portions, and you really can't go wrong with anything you order. Also, you can't come to Cuzzo's and not get the lobster mac. It's definitely the most known and best thing on the menu. Make sure to get that as a side with whatever you get!

Grand opening today! Welcome to the east side, Cuzzo's! I got the chance to visit today for their grand opening for their new location in the university area. Upon entering, I was greeted by the hostesses and asked if I was doing dine in or take out. After telling them I was doing take out, I went to the register. I ordered the fish and grits with a side of lobster mac (there's no way I'm coming to any location of cuzzo's and not order the lobster mac). I was told that my wait would be about 25 minutes. Well the 25 turned into 45. I didn't mind waiting because there is more often than not a bit of a wait time at their other location, as well. The fish was crispy and juicy, the grits were flavorful, and the lobster mac was terrific as usual. I had no doubt that things would turn out excellent. But FYI: as this is a new location, there may be a few kinks that may need to be worked out. Give them some time to get in the groove. Also have PATIENCE. If you want a quick meal, go to a fast food restaurant. You will have to wait but it'll be worth it. If not, let them know and they'll make it right for you. Enjoy!

Ordered lobster Mac n cheese, there was only two pieces of very small lobster and the fried shrimp was overcooked.

Well , after a round of "what do want " I don't know..... what do you want ? We decided on visiting the Crafty crab. After all , you can't go wrong with seafood right ? Boy were we wrong . Ok , no problem so I went with a Po boy fish sandwich and the wife got a boil to share with the daughter . The Po boy came out really fast , like too fast and so I was like ok let's see what this is all about . The bun was refrigerator cold and the "fish" was more breading than fish and had an awful oil tinge to it . A fish filet could have beat it. The wife didn't even finish eating as she said it was awful. Besides the "ambiance " Tran's the food , I'd say the soft drink was the best thing and the server was cool as well . No thank you crafty crab. When I got home I had a feeling of nausea and kept trying to wash it away with anything I could keep down .

Luckily we snagged a spot and walked over to the lake area. We were seated quickly and our server took drink orders and gave us a chance to review the large menu. There is lots to choose from but, we decided on shrimp tacos. We tried the chipotle tacos and the grilled shrimp tacos. Both were very good. You get a choice of sides, and we tried the Mexican street corn salad and the Mac and cheese. I wasn't a huge fan of the corn salad. It was served cold, but I wasn't really a fan of the taste. The Mac and cheese looked creamy and gooey and was told it was really good. Next time I will order a different side. The atmosphere here is bright and lively with a nice view of the water where you can take paddle boat rides. People love to walk over here, so it is nice to have an open view. The restaurant has a tiki bar vibe and has surfing theme throughout the place. Really fun and relaxing. This is a great stop if you are in the area, expect to circle the lot a bit on the weekends, but the food and atmosphere are great here. We will definitely return to Boardwalk Billy's.

We ordered the Sol Sunrise and the Berry Delish - Both were not only good but strong as well. Our waitress was polite and offered some good recommendations on what to get. The waffle was fine - Didn't look or taste like a fresh waffle but again it was fine. Those potatoes??? 10/10 - I could've just gotten those and would've been content since I'm an avid potato lover! Also, got the Sol All Star Breakfast. Waffle, Eggs, Turkey Bacon, and "Homestyle Fries." Everything was cooked as expected and taste was good. It's a nice brunch spot right at the boardwalk. The restaurant was busy but not overly so. They were able to seat us right away. There were lots of delicious items on the menu. My friends all got the salmon (two grilled and one fried). I got the crabcake because I just have to be different, I guess. They brought out cornbread muffins with honey butter that were delicious. They were really soft and cake-like and the honey butter topping was awesome. Two of us got side salads for our side and they came out with the meal, which isn't my preference but the food came out quickly any way so it was fine. The side salads were MASSIVE. Lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and onions (removed from mine) in a huge bowl. Probably could have been a meal to itself. The food came out and there was some confusion on sides that were mismatched and all of the salmons were grilled (instead of the one fried). Everyone really enjoyed their meal. I kinda wish I had gotten the salmon because it looked amazing and really well seasoned. The crab cake I had was good too. I think it had their Garlic Parmesan Cream sauce on top. The crab cake was big and had plenty of crab. I think I would have preferred a traditional tartar sauce on the side. I got their mac and cheese for my other side. It was super creamy and cheesy. It was also topped with the garlic parmesan cream sauce. Very tasty. Service was good. Not ton of visits to the table but I don't think we ever wanted for anything. My total with tip was about $40 and I think it was worth it for all the food I got. Would be a fun place to return too! Good job, Sol'Delish!

The crust was good, very crisp and the pizza is light with a little crisp to the dough, definitely not soggy. I had the French onion soup.... Unimpressed. I may be a French onion snob as I've been lucky to travel around the country and tried numerous soups (including in France). This was very average, I like the bread to be a little crispy, this was soggy, and the cheese, once I pushed into the soup. It all kind of gelled together. Like you can't get bites with other parts of the soup. I was literally using my knife to try and cut it apart so I could eat it in pieces and not one huge chunk. But it became too tedious and eventually I had to eat the cheese all together. I really liked the chicken wings, cooked well, I really enjoyed the bbq sauce. The wings are by far my favorite. As I have to come here multiple times a year to visit our office. I'm sure I'll try more food. For a hotel restaurant, it's pretty good.
