Popped in on a Wednesday evening around 9 PM to pick up a prescription that was filled earlier that day thankfully there was no line I was able to get with the pharmacist after one guest in front of me finish his shopping she confirmed that I was comfortable with a $34. The medicine needed had to be mixed to park so before she mixed it when she asked a question and then it took about five minutes or so before the item was ready, went ahead and did they required signatures, cash out and was easily on my way outside of CVS. read more

I travel different states; many CVSs that advertise 24/7 also have pharmacies open 24/7. but this GM proceeded to READ ME THE RIOT ACT implying, how stupid could i be to think that, scolding me about the laws of Texas not allowing pharmacist to work 24 hours, blah blah blah. How ignorant is this guy?! that's why they have "shift" work and that's why they have two or possibly three pharmacists on duty at 24/7 advertised CVS stores. As I'm leaving, he has the audacity to insult me again, demanding "you can read Pharmacy hours on door". Is this guy so ignorant that he presumes people coming to his store are neighborhood people easily driving by. who does this guy think he is? His family didn't teach him manner that's for sure. he should be fired. Then, later when I Thru went through RX drive-through,, the pharmacist or assistant was also very rude. Intentionally unfriendly and rude intentionally!! would not say a greeting , "good morning, welcome, etc. I asked a question. She pretended to ignore me. I asked again. She turned to me at the window as if angry and bothered that she was having to dignify a response to a question I had asked her.... She could barely choke it out. And then when we were done with our transaction, she did intentionally did not say thank you you could see her character. You could see what a vindictive nasty person she was.!!! ! I guess the GM had gotten to her - to poison the well for your customers is one of the most unprofessional things any mgr or oharmacist can do. I rarely write these things, but when I do, it's because they screwed up and they should not be working there. Leaving on a trip in the early am, planned accordingly. Got text Friday order was ready lines in drive through a joke , went back yesterday (Saturday) they told me to come back in AM. NOT READY! Was there at 10:15 am. Today Sunday Pharmacy was CLOSED. Went inside cashiers apologized. Called then hour later to make sure open "here's our hours" no apologies or explanation. CVS used to have a store on Hwy 45 that was open late, so I had my kid's prescription sent there after an urgent care visit. When we pulled up, it was closed. I looked for any other CVS with late hours and found this one was open for just a few more minutes. I called them in desperation, but they opted to ignore the call, I guess because they wanted to go home. I just needed them to send the script over to the 24hr walgreens. Our insurance doesn't cover walgreens, but we were desperate, and I was willing to pay out of pocket. Now we have a 3 year old in pain because nobody felt like answering the phone. Why doesn't CVS have a 24 hr pharmacy in austin? If you go to an urgent care or ER, you won't be able to get your medicine through CVS. read more

Waited in the drive through line "pick up only" for 45 minutes to pickup my prescription. There were only 3 cars ahead of me so what the ??? Turns out they have converted that line to Covid-19 tests only and I was supposed to be in the "drop off" line only to pick up my prescription. People, there was NOT A SIGN telling me this was the new setup. The woman was like a parrot, just kept telling me that this was a Covid tests line only, even after I told her they need to put up a sign. HATE HATE this pharmacy, this was the last straw. me and my mom stopped for some quick pain relief medicine , we were being very patient because the lines were a mess and, there was one young lady who was screaming and cursing about a customer she had on the phone i didn't think too much of if, because i thought maybe the customer was being rude and she was just having a moment. I continued to go with my mom to self checkout we scanned everything and then towards the end we had to have an employee come help, she come over counted what we had in the bag fixed what was on the screen, and she saw my mom had cash in her hand, which the self checkout said it accepted cash and card, which she then proceeded to say with a nasty attitude, "ugh you're paying cash?", "you're gonna have to pay over here", which was the regular cashier, and at that point me and my mom were tired of her being rude so we paid card and left. read more

Had serious knee surgery, blowing out my whole knee, and my doctor called prescriptions in and pharmacist said she thought it was a mistake and would confirm with doctor, after I said NO he did call with prescriptions in. My doctor sent prescriptions in and "Trinh The Pharmacist" said couldn't be filled due to insurance wouldn't cover and it was to expensive for cash pay was only $17, then she said she needed to talk to my doctor to confirm prescription, when the doctor is who sent it in 1 hr before, she also did the same thing to the other 2 people behind me telling them she could not fill their prescription and she would have to consult with their doctor and they also both replied they just left the doctor and the doctor is the one who sent it..Nobody wants to deal with issues after having surgery and Trinh at CVS on Riverside will create all kinds of issues, come up with random excuses because she doesn't agree with the prescriptions and refuses to fill them, so I do NOT recommend this pharmacy specially if you just had surgery. The other pharmacist thermals told me they don't agree with her and she has no authority to do what she is doing. I have then switched pharmacys and had no other issues. DO NOT USE THIS CVS PHARMACY, "TRINH" will create constant issues with your prescriptions and delay them. read more

I just moved to Austin and this is the closest CVS. I want to post to improve their ratings since I have been here 3 times now helping get my Mother's meds taken care of. Each time I have been helped immediately and courteously! Megan, in the pharmacy was incredibly helpful in working with me! Then when returning some items and again checking out, Tasia was a joy, even after my making a huge mistake on my return, she was extremely patient and kept assuring me it was okay!! What a pleasant and joyful individual to take care of me!Both of these women represented CVS extremely well and are making my introduction to Austin memorable. The absolute worst experience I've had in my life. They don't care about their patients at all and the entire staff was rude and gave a bunch of attitude. It took them over a week to tell me that they couldn't fill my prescription. They didn't even bother to call around for my prescription until I had to physically come up there twice. The pharmacist lied to me about transferring my prescription and I end up having to have it transferred myself. Last night we went for our COVID and flu vaccines. It was the first time we've been to this CVS. Even though we got there 30 minutes after our scheduled time, we were seen right away. Huge props to the pharmacist (a young woman) who administered the shots; she was super gentle and efficient. This is the first time I haven't had swelling or bruising from the COVID vaccine. This is the WORST pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I regularly have to call 3-4 times and wait on hold for 15 minutes. Around the 15 minute mark, they will just hang up. So frustrating. I got out of the hospital and stupidly sent my meds here because it's the closest one to my house. I had been in the ICU and on a ventilator for 2 days and they would not answer the phone!! I finally had to call and press the button for "doctor or health care professional calling" just so they would accept my call. Seriously, go to the Walgreens down the road or the HEB if you can. Probably the creepiest CVS ever. Kinda has that dirty Wal-Mart theme going. I came here during the surprise cold front that swept through SxSW in hopes of snagging gloves and a beanie. None to be found, which is expected during Spring Break when all they have out are beach toys, sunblock and towels. But the two-star rating is the result of the poor upkeep of this location. I'm a regular at CVS and recently moved to the area and this location is the most convenient for me. I like that all the CVS retail layouts are the same. I haven't had any issues with the pharmacy like others have noted in their reviews. I have auto refill and my prescriptions are always ready when they need to be. Beware! Drive through is for COVID testing only. I went to pick up a prescription and after waiting for 20 minutes in line, finally got up to the window and was told prescriptions were not available for pick up at drive through and I had to come inside. Totally ok to change how the drive through works but a little notice would go a long way. It's not difficult to put up even a temporary sign! Stay safe y'all. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. I have never seen a more incompetent pharmacy in my life. It is a rare occurrence that my prescriptions is correct on the first try or ready when I am told it will be. One time they were trying to fix the price on my prescription and mid-conversation it hit closing time and they shut the window on me without saying another word and locked up. Truly absurd. Picked up my final prescription today after switching pharmacies and was told to come back in 15 minutes 3 different times before they finally got it right. There's a reason why this CVS has one of the lowest ratings in the city. It's impossible to contact them by phone as they have never answered once. I transferred to this location as it's closer to me but I'm considering transferring back to the farther location because I will most likely be able to drive there and get my medicine and driver back 10x quicker than it would to go to this location. read more
