We accidentally had a prescription sent to this CVS for my granddaughter with pneumonia. They were out of the medication and when we tried to call them they never responded. We finally called heb pharmacy on escarpment and they were able to get the prescription transferred and filled in a quick fashion. I will never use this CVS not only because of their poor pharmacy but the prices they charge are Convenient store pricing, support HEB if at all possible. read more

I had to switch from my long time Walgreen's a while back due to different insurance. Although Walgreen's has a better website and system, I've come to really like CVS, in fact I prefer them now. Their website and apps are acceptable and do work. The main reason I prefer this particular store is that it's almost always a lot less crowded than any of the Walgreen's I've dealt with. Most times I can just pull up to the window and pick up my prescription(s) without any wait. The head Pharmacist, Dhong, is really a great guy. Friendly, knowledgeable and nice. He's downloaded coupons for me on his phone! I haven't had any problems with any of the other staff either, all have been pretty darn good. read more

This pharmacy sucks. My husband passed away on the 12 of May. They keep calling because his meds were auto filled and he had some ready. I took the time to call them to tell them he had passed and to take all auto fills off and they could restock the meds they had ready. I was told by the employee that she would make a note of all that and said goodbye. Wait what? No condolences, no thanks for letting us know.... Everyone I know dislikes CVS and it's sad that they have so much control of the insurance companies. I wish there were negative stars. read more

The 2 people were trying their best to check out customers and simply could not spare the time to help us. We walked out. This wouldn't have been a big deal last night, with the exception that I wound up here after the Circle C HEB didn't have the product in the quantity I required and didn't know the rules for Sudafed sales. Once again, RPh Lindsay waited on me. This time, she didn't have the 96 tablet generic Sudafed in stock, but did have two 48's. It's about 40% more expensive to purchase it that way, so that was not the best option. The best thing about the purchase is that Lindsay knew the rules, but to be certain, she put one box of 48 through the online verification system, and then attempted to sell the next, which went through just fine. This made all the difference between making me happy and making me frustrated. HEB didn't know the rules and chose to frustrate me out of ignorance. CVS thought they knew the rules, tried to accommodate, and succeeded. As HEB pharmacies continue to decline in knowledge, products, and service, I think I'm seeing more CVS in my drugstore future. read more

Drugs and bargains in one stop. What more could a gal want? OK, so I must confess, I love a bargain. Bargain hunting is a sport I like to call the thrill of the deal. Enter CVS. As a drugstore, I never pay the full $4.99 for the Scotch tape roll that will be three rolls for $2.99 on another week with your CVS card. Scott TP regularly goes on sale, they take manufacturer coupons to boot, and the last time, if I spent $30 on Scott and a list of other products, they gave me a $10 AMEX gift card. Since I took that time to stock up on that and other items, I had an extra $20 to blow anywhere that took AMEX. I could go on and on with practical examples, but you get the idea. The Pharmacy is just OK. This location has messed up some of my prescriptions, like labeling I have a refill, but when calling to refill from the label, telling me I don't. They will call your Dr. to fix, but it would be nice if they just got it right the first time. I have insurance, so I cannot speak to their pharmacy prices. While I would not use CVS for my daily shopping, they do run some pretty cool sales. So for a bargain, if you are willing to watch the Sunday paper, you can get some of the things you need, if you are willing to wait, for a song. read more

I knew someone was standing right behind me and she never moved. I told her, it really bothers me when someone stands so close, directly behind me. I wish I could give negative stars. I was forced to switch from Walgreens to CVS by my employer. I'm trying to get my prescriptions delivered. But I could NOT get a live person. I was on hold for over 30 minutes! I tried to set up an account with CVS but their website was malfunctioning. When I finally got a live person, they did not have a 90 day supply of my medication. And they could not deliver a partial supply. CVS is at best inept, incompetent and liars. cvs needs a major overhaul so they can RISE to MEDIOCRITY. Because to become 'halfway decent' or 'good', they need a miracle. CVS needs to remove 'free delivery' from their website. It's a lie. read more

I have been doing a lot of shopping at this CVS, and it all started with a quick need that turned into a bit of an extended spree, much of which was for free. For my nieces and nephews, I gave them Itunes gift cards for Christmas, which totaled $120.00. Then, I received a $20 coupon for a future purchase. I would have forgotten all about it, but I am on tight budget this month, so I remembered, and BAM! $20 in milk, paper goods, vitamins, and first aid. With this purchase, I received another $3 coupon, which I will use later in the month. Then I recalled that CVS had a prescription transfer policy. If you bring in your new scripts or transfer ones from other pharmacies, you get a $25 gift card. I used about half of that today on a few things, and I received another $1 in future shopping credit. So, the $120 Itunes cards have saved me $49 so far. How's that for a good deal? read more

I really haven't had much good luck with this pharmacy. If it's not them calling me to tell me my prescriptions ready and then coming to pick it up only to find out it really wasn't ready and an error was made its something like wanting to charge me an exorbitant amount of money because they no longer want to cover my prescription. My doctor ended up sending my prescription here because CVS Caremark is the primary, so without requesting him to change it to somewhere else, I left it alone. Of course, I check the hours and see that the pharmacy closes at 10 PM, but, I get to the pharmacy and in bold letters I see new hours. So now, instead of closing at 10 PM, which is more convenient for people who have to work late, you better be here before 9 PM because that's when they close now I am so done with this pharmacy. This is the absolute WORSE pharmacy I have ever used. I have a prescription that can not be refilled online (walgreens allows it but CVS does not), so I must call the pharmacy everytime I need them to fill it, BUT, they do not answer their phones, EVER. So I have to go to the pharmacy to ask them to fill it, which requires waiting in line. The last time I went I asked them if there was a better way for me to do this, the guy said you can call, I said you do not answer your phones, and they all just laughed. While I was there the phone rang non stop and no one seemed to care. The staff that work in the actual pharmacy are the most unprofessional people. One girl was talking about how she didn't care if they were going to let her take time off or not, she was just going to fucking take it, and yes she said fucking. Meanwhile there were 5 people in line and one person who was painfully slow helping the people in line and at the drive up. The other three were just chit chatting. Luckily I do not have to take my prescription to this pharmacy anymore since I can only get a 30 day supply at a time, back to Walgreens! The CVS on 45 and 1826 is awesome!!! Despite the corporate brand recognition, all CVS pharmacies are not alike. Tonight, I handed in my prescription and asked to wait, fully expecting to sit in the chair for 45 minutes playing word warp on my phone...because I am a nerd. Instead, I was told 15 minutes max. 5 star rating for customer service in photo department! We ordered 13 canvases. 1 canvas was delayed a day and when it came in it was dented. The manager did absolutely everything she could to correct the problem and get our canvas to us as soon as possible. She even gave us store credit for our canvas and a $10 gift card for our trouble. read more
