Completely agree with Mary Jane. The pharmacists here are not only incompetent, but also rude. If you go on weekends, you may even be served by the pharmacist's 8 year old daughter....quite the spectacle watching a child handle drugs/private health information. I have been a customer at the Beverly Hills CVS (9045 Wilshire Blvd) for many years. I cannot begin to explain how horrible their customer service is. It has become normal for me to have to call CVS (at minimum) 3x each time I have a refill or a new RX. CVS constantly says that they haven't received it from my dr. I then call my dr and they confirm they called it in. Its a constant back and forth. After multiple doctors' offices having the same issue with them, it is CLEAR that this is an issue on CVS's part. After 48 hours of going back and forth with CVS and my dr office (over 2 hours total on the phone calling each one), I still don't have a refill I need before traveling out of the country for 3 weeks. I have finally had it. I am moving all of my RXs over to a new pharmacy. Don't be tempted by the convenience of the drive-thru pharmacy. Half the time you wait 30 min and then they tell you to come upstairs. After years of being a loyal customer, I can now say that this is the worst pharmacy I have ever worked with. They don't even deserve a half a star. The absolute worse. I waited over 2 hours and only got 2 of 6 prescriptions. I asked the guy after I'd gotten only two if the rest were coming and he mentioned that it was too late for me to get them and asked if it was really necessary, it's a rescue inhaler my dear, kind of important. They hardly check their printer and let the prescriptions just pile up. Needless to say I had to go to a 24 hour CVS. read more

PHARMACY service is TERRIBLE, the worst, always a looonnggg line. They always seem to be understaffed. I've had to wait 15+ minutes in line to pick up my prescription. If you need a pharmacy in Beverly Hills, try Mickey Fine on Camden or Roxbury or one of the many Horton & Converse locations. These small, privately owned pharmacies feel like the Four Seasons compared to the Motel 8 experience I have at ANY CVS location. read more

I thought the photo department was super friendly and helpful and got me out of there very quickly. I was working with Fernando and he really helped me out a lot. Printed an 8 x 10 photo from my phone by connecting to wifi and also bought a nice frame to go along with it. I would highly recommend talking to Fernando and printing your photos from here. read more

I have yet to find a chain pharmacy that has their act together. I recently had a few CVS photo books made for a work project. They were needed quickly and we used the 1 hour photo book option that is advertised all over the photo section of their website. After a series of errors - the book was made at the wrong location, they said they would mail it to us and never did, they said we needed to call ahead to make sure they had the books in stock, the pages were falling out, or the one staff member who knew how to run the machine was gone so no one knew how to get the photo book made. Needless to say, I'll be looking elsewhere in hopes that other venues also have a quick photo book option with better customer service. read more

The pharmacy is short staffed and they keep a very low inventory of prescription drugs. I had surgery on a Friday and CVS said my medication would not be available until Wednesday. It wasn't. I checked on Thursday, It wasn't. It's now Friday. It wasn't. They take the phone off the hook so no one can call. When I asked to talk to a pharmacist, I was told by the clerk she was temporary for one day. She didn't know anything. I asked how did they know she was licensed and the clerked just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't. Then strongly urged me to go elsewhere. If you want to buy shampoo, potato chips or other sundries, its expensive but they have parking. However, it is the worst pharmacy for prescriptions that I've seen in Los Angeles. The pharmacy service during the evenning is awful. There is a particular lady named KATHY who is a monster. I waited fifteen minutes in the drive thru lane along with two other cars as she asked to keep waiting becuase she was busy. Five mins to close time I decided to upstairs and get my medication becuase I was afraid they would close and I would be left without my medication. As I walked in Kathy closed the curtain in my face. I explained to the store manager my situation and he asked them to dispense my medication. She refused. The pharmacist said she needed to go home. I told Kthy she had two peolpe downstairs waiting, so she picked up the phone and yelled at them 'WE ARE CLOSED" and proceeded to hang up on them. The manager pleaded with them, but they refused to listen. I have been getting my prescription refilled at this pharmacy for ten yrs. It's over now. read more

This is the most inefficient and rude pharmacy I have ever been to. Every time I go there is an endless line, and there is ALWAYS some issue with my prescription not being ready. I was hung up on on the phone multiple times. The staff is dismissive and unresponsive. The only reason I come is that it is across the street from my work. In all my years I have never witnessed such a place. They do not follow instructions, are rude, have you stand on a long line only to find out that when you are finally at the head of the line you need to go stand on another line to check status of a prescription. Their staff rotates quite frequently (i guess we know why) and you usually don't find the same personnel. I actually inherited this pharmacy due to my new pharmacy plan last year. I am changing my prescription plan just to get rid of them. If you can avoid them, do so! I only have two months left on my plan and I am counting the days. read more

The pharmacists at this CVS on Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills deserve applause for the way they serve customers. Over the last few months I've had need to pick up prescriptions there weekly for a medical condition that is temporary but frequently quite painful. What I really appreciate about these folks is their way of approaching each customer as an individual, not as a burden in need of removal. Several times I have submitted a scrip while experiencing a high level of pain. These pharmacists actually took note of my situation and expedited my prescription- I didn't say a thing, they simply noticed my situation and acted, quickly and humanely. As a customer seeking help under circumstances that aren't always ideal, it's a real blessing to have a pharmacy like this to go to. read more

As a private physician's office, we are empathetic to how busy a central pharmacy can be. However, when we are customarily left on hold for over 30minutes at a time....voicemails with detailed prescriptions are ignored...and patients frustrated with their substandard customer service..we are now recommending other pharmacies in the area to our patients to avoid the constant pitfalls of this location. Unfortunately have to come to this location because it's close to work but the pharmacy staff are honestly so clueless. They constantly call saying I have prescriptions ready but then when I show up no one seems to know what is going on. They are very slow even when there are long lines and there are almost always long lines. Even if you need consultation on your medications they seem to have no idea what they are talking about. Really makes me question their certification. Personally I suggest going anywhere else if you need to fill your prescriptions. read more

I'm afraid I agree with the other reviewers below. Although the location is central and parking is almost always available, the staff at the pharmacy is awful! I've never seen one staff member smile, be kind or helpful, it's almost as if they're in a rush and don't even have time to hear your request (which is what their job is). The waiting period is very long even when I receive an automated text that my prescription is ready for pick up. I've had to wait for over half an hour just in line to find that I'll need to wait an additional half an hour to get my prescription almost every time. I now call before heading over even when I receive that text and have been disconnected multiple times while I'm being "helped" - They're far too disorganized. Find another pharmacy. read more

Horrible. Awful. Must be the worst-managed store I've been to in recent memory. I went once b/c I had an appt in the area and had time to kill - figured I'd pick up some supplies. 1 register open, slow as molasses service, no hello/goodbye/thank you. The second time I once againd had an appt in the area and I purposely went 20 mins early to get some much needed cleaning supplies. It was the post-work hour, lots of office workers stopping in. And yet, there were just 2 counters open, one of which was held up by a consumer returning product and a clearly bewildered checker. The line was literally 10 minutes wait, and I was the second person in line. Behind me were 6 more people. At some point a manager walked by and I said something about opening more checkout lines, and she looked at me with a blank stare and pointed to the front and said "these 2 are open." I in turn pointed to the line behind me, which by now included one very smelly, unshowered homeless person, and said "you've got quite a line here." She seemed to notice for the first tme that there was a line and uttered "oh! wow." And then she went in back to the stock room. Never again. Avoid at all costs. read more

At best, the pharmacy staff can be described as rude and apathetic. Regardless of how empty the store may be, it is always at least an hour wait to fill a prescription. They have lost my insurance card, and without warning or consultation have changed the brand of my prescription. Their apologies are as insincere and rude as the rest of the experience; rolling their eyes at you while never actually accepting responsibility for the mistake made. It is always a frustrating experience and they the issues in their customer service seem to be symptomatic of the overall way in which the department is run, as I've witnessed them scold and talk down to one another as well. read more

I usually go here for my brother's medication because our oncologist is across the street. Today I went in there to pick up anti-seizure medication for my brother and he cannot take generics or else it doesn't work at all. I asked the cashier/pharmacist "andrea" if it was name brand and she said yes, then looked at his info on the computer and continued to ask me if he was an animal. WHAT ANIMAL is 30+ years old with brain cancer taking anti-seizure medication??? I've never been so insulted in my life. When I told her no after a dirty look she continued to say "You'd be surprised". All I can feel right now towards her and that store is F*** you. Brain cancer isn't a joke and I hope you get fired. read more

I'm pregnant and needed a very important medication tonight. Google said this pharmacy was open until 10pm. I got to the pharmacy window at 9:05pm and some of their shutters were drawn. I walked up to the open window and three people were inside the pharmacy. A man dressed in all blue told me they were closed. I very nicely explained how google said they were open until 10pm, how the prescription was already pre-ordered/filled, and how I was pregnant and really needed my medication. Two pharmacists in white coats shot me sympathetic looks while they let the man dressed in all blue be a complete heartless jerk to me. He had absolutely no sympathy and refused to give me my prescription. I have the texts I (tearfully) wrote to my husband on my phone as proof that I was at CVS at 9:05pm. I can't believe people who are supposed to care about the health of their patients could be so cruel, simply because (I'm assuming) they didn't want to have to stay at work one minute later to help out a pregnant woman. Pharmacists are supposed to care about their patients. The people working here don't care at all. read more

DO NOT get photos printed here--I just went in to pick up enlargements of my wedding photos to give as gifts, and they looked TERRIBLE. Totally unusable. The colors were off, there were spots and smudges all over them, some of the photos were even bent and torn at the edges. It was shocking. They didn't put up a fight when I said I wouldn't pay for them, but they were not apologetic by any means. It was an annoying interaction and a waste of time. read more

I haven't been to a great CVS ever. As a brand, it's failing but has a large share of the market in LA because no one has enough cash flow to knock it out of the playing field. That said, I've been going to this CVS for 7 years. Today, they had a policy change on their pharmaceuticals. Of course, they could have called me and saved me a trip had they indicated a change. Sadly the don't and they won't. Overall their team is marginally ok (aka not great). Usually there are huge wait times and occasionally they slip up and haven't filled your order when they confirmed they would. I find it slipping into poor communication and disagreeable/disgruntled employees. The pharmacy needs new faces with refreshed or reformed attitudes. Lastly, shouldn't CVS have a receipt length policy? One receipt I received was 4 feet tall. We took pictures of the absurdity. Hello, environment.
