This place has really gone down hill fast. This used to be a nice CVS and suuuuuper convenient. It's closing permanently 2/18/26 and I can 100% see why. It's a shame that these big companies can't keep their stores open and safe in DTLA. About the only good thing about this place is how convenient the location is for folks who live in one of the many apartment complexes between Hill and Main and 9th -12th streets. I am moving so I must change pharmacies and am upset because I will be missing Patricia. She is such a delight. I enjoyed seeing her and conversing with her to pick up my prescriptions. Patricia is efficient, caring, attentive and always helpful. She deserves a promotion! David is great too, always nice and helpful. I loved getting my prescriptions here because the pharmacy staff is amazing. I've been to many CVS and this is my favorite by far! The staff here seem to care the most and are the most friendly. I've been to other locations where the employees treat you like you're a nuisance but not here! I will very much miss this pharmacy and store. The front staff was nice too. read more

This was my best vaccine shot ever! Thank you to David, the wonderful pharmacist who gave me my flu shot today. He is a lovely man with a calming presence. I felt very relaxed. He shared with me that he's done this for 10 years and it shows. I didn't feel a thing! It was so fast and easy, and no discomfort. I only want to go to David for future immunizations. It's very easy to book an appointment thru the CVS app. I'm so grateful for this location. It's much nicer than other nearby locations, in my opinion, and way less crowded. Great experience! I've been meaning to write a review about this cvs location months ago. Luckily I held off until today because it would not have gotten 5 stars. Previously I felt like the security guards were always following you around the store and the staff weren't as helpful. Today was the complete opposite. The security guard greeted me as I walked in and as I walked out. This never happened before. The security used to just stare at you and make you feel uncomfortable. This security guard was very pleasant and did not make me feel uncomfortable at all. The staff were very helpful today. I asked for the location of a product and they pointed me in the right direction. I couldn't locate the item so one of the staff members walked over and helped me out. He was very friendly and kept a smile on his face. This happened today, 3/10/2023, with the staff on the morning shift around 7:45am (just in case the manager wants to recognize them for great customer service). 02/22/2020 I was intrigued by one of the reviews (written 5 months ago) stating there were live rats roaming around inside. This place looks so brand new. I did see another review (2 reviews when I wrote this) written 4 months ago. Newly opened but not as recently as a few weeks ago. Walking thru here I did notice the manager and staff members ripping off the yellow tags. The sale ends on 2/22 so if you can make it in here before they close at 10pm. The pharmacy part has already locked up for the night. There was one guy purchasing hot pockets from the food section. Everything is marked up a few dollars. Definitely for the hipsters moving into these high priced apartments. Which this CVS is on the first floor of the Broadway Palace Apartments. read more

This review is specifically for David G. , the pharmacist. The cvs website had an error and allowed me to make appointment for a covid vaccine when the pharmacy was supposed to have a break for the pharmacist at the same time. I had purposely selected the time as it was the only one that worked for me. He was still able to accomodate administering the vaccine for me even though he was supposed to be on break. I greatly appreciate him taking the time as he didn't have to do this. read more

This location is genuinely the worst pharmacy I have EVER used. The communication and lack of care for customer service is astonishing. The main pharmacist, who is an older man, has an incredibly bad attitude and then tried to play it off as being understaffed once he was caught lying by another CVS location whom I had on the phone. read more

I had an excellent experience at this CVS Pharmacy, and was particularly impressed by Francisco. He was knowledgeable, friendly, empathetic and efficient. I had gone to get a Covid vaccine - and had some confusion because of a recent change with my insurance. Francisco went above and beyond to thoroughly investigate the issue for me. When I went forward with the vaccination, the care and skill of the pharmacist (Lara) was also much appreciated. I didn't even feel the needle going in! Whoever was the security guard working on 7/12 @ 4pm needs to be talked to. I don't feel it's appropriate for the security guard to be walking around CVS having a full blown personal conversation on his air pods. Seems to me that taking personal phone calls would distract you from doing your job. In times like today, we really need to be more aware and it doesn't make me feel safe to enter this CVS location where the guards use their on the clock time to take personal calls. I think the craziest thing was when I went up the the register to ask why the guard was taking personal phone calls on the sales floor.. the guy behind the counter said "well he does have his air pods in. The other day I stopped by this CVS to purchase an item that was on sale on the website. I couldn't find it anywhere and was not able to find anyone to help me. I asked for the manager and Keith was more than helpful in finding the item I was looking for. He went out of his way to show me where the item was and couldn't have been friendlier. read more

The pharmacy does a great job of advocating for their patients! I was pleasantly surprised when they contacted my insurance company, (dealt with being put on hold) to figure out a mix-up on my perscription and co-payment. I definitely recommend them if you want a friendly, hardworking, honest staff! read more

I'm absolutely terrified of needles, and David totally eased my fears and made the whole experience as pleasant and as comfortable as possible. This place is very clean and has that new store smell! I love that it's so close to the South Park apartments and nearby work places. Extremely convenient. Jerry is a fucking ass hole and has no respect for customers we were waiting in line to pay at the cash register and this poor woman was simply just trying to get her money back for something she returned and the woman was Hispanic and you could tell her English was a little rougher but even I could understand what she was telling him and he pretended to not understand and she was clearly frustrated and after 20 minutes of this poor woman asking for her money back the manger her finally yelled at jerry from across the store to give it to her and he still refused and tried to lie to this woman's face saying "the manager said no" and in Spanish she asked the people at the check stand next to her what the manager had said and I told both her and Jerry the manager said to give her the money back and he completely ignored me I don't understand how a man so rude could work in customer service if he has no patience for small things like a return especially when the manager is asking you to do it. read more
