I didn't want to wait until we made it to our final destination, I wanted to make sure I had it now. This location is set up so weird. I went to where I thought was going to hold my item. It wasn't, it was located at the end of an aisle. It was like they knew they weren't going to have enough space so they did exactly what they needed to do to make a full store fit in here. Finally found my item and went to find my friends before I went to pay and ended up finding a few snacks for the impending road trip we had ahead of us. Then we made our way to the register area. The register area was just as big of a mess as the rest of the store, but it somehow worked and flowed so much better than expected. Customers were in and out fairly quickly. Probably had something to do with a majority of them being self checkout, but whatever, the introvert in me liked that.

Getting in the car and getting the car started and leaving for the drug store when its 1100pm at night and most other drug stores are closed you can always rely on the neighborhood CVS Pharmacy. The many times that I've had to go to the pharmacy was to get prescriptions and the medical and the food needs that I would need for the next day you may remember that CVS pharmacies also have milk and other groceries, yet they don't have vegetables and the meat department you would have to visit the regular store. There are many CVS that do such an incredible job there is the El cajon Pharmacy and the Hazard Center pharmacy with the new one that was under construction that is now become the popular one that is located in Downtown San Diego near East Village when you go the main Transit Station, you can see it right when get on and off the trolley. With the CVS Pharmacy East Village, they are a caring staff and helpful when it comes to getting your prescriptions and having the cold drinks and the snacks you may need when you arrive late at night and having to the pharmacy and get your kids medication. For the best in service and the many pharmacies and the grocery stores you cant find those places that have the best in service that can call your doctor and tell your doctor you need to have other medication the CVS family has been the greatest and the most helpful. For the many people that come to the CVS stores it's the first time with kids it can be scary and having to wait they are there to help with your needs. The East Village store location is close to the busses and the trolley in case you need to take the trolley or if you live close by the store is a good convenience with the food things you can buy from Ice Cream and cold drinks, they also do carry candy and the many types of cookies and cereal in case if you need to pick up for the breakfast. The pharmacy there can help with orders they let you know when you could get certain medications if they had to order it or have to wait for delivery. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer one of the many that goes to CVS and gets many things for the week you may never know that if you have a certain medication, you may need juice or Milk of Magnesium. Cvs is one of the best stores to the many places or the states you may travel to there is one store that has a 24hour staff that is there to help you when you're in the store o0r if you have an appointment for the vaccinations. CVS is the one I t6rust for the many things and the medical support that I have found that has helped in so many ways.

I was told it was in a less desirable part of town. To be honest almost all of downtown SD has its roughness. I used to live in a loft literally across the street on top of a CVS. Their system seemed to operate like initial COVID times. You walk up, wait outside. A staff member comes up to you with an IPAD. Another member packages it up then it is brought out to you. It was actually fast & smooth.

The lady gave me attitude over the phone about me coming in with COVID, but i had no other choice! I just moved here from out of state a week prior to start law school. I had no one to pick it up for me. Anyway, as I got there they tried telling me my insurance didn't work. When it worked ALL year. Then they fail to tell me two of the medications were covered, but the one wasn't and apparently cost $1000. They even assumed I couldn't pay it, which i wouldn't want to, but they stated it like it was collectively not all covered. They made me get out line to call my insurance who told me there should've been no problems. So i went back inside to get my insurance card because the incompetent employee wittheld my insurance card from me for no reason. After I got it after waiting 10 minutes, I gave up and left. After I left the building they decide to call me and tell me two of my prescriptions were covered, when they could've told me in person. Like I said it took SO much strength to get there. I had to go the night without medicine. It was terrible. The next day I had to move my prescription to Walgreens on Coronado Island. Altogether my medicine cost $38. WITH THE SAME INSURANCE THAT SUPPOSEDLY DOESNT WORK. I'm going to use kind words and say they were not a bright crew and made me suffer thru the night. Worst customer service ever!!
