I have been going to CVS for years. However, I have never in all my life been treated so badly by the pharmacy as I was just the other day. My daughter was sick and the local urgent care sent over 2 medicines for my daughter. They were sent o ER at 7:45pm. After a few hours and I never heard from them, I called, only to be playing ed on hold for over 30 mins. Then hung up and called back and was about to be placed back on hold when I told them NO, and asked for the medicine. I was told it had not been filled yet and would be fetch in 30 mins. It was over 12 hours later that I was notified that the medicine was ready. My daughter was sick and in pain all night because of that pharmacy. They were rude to me not only when I called, but when I finally was told my stuff was reach. They did not seem to care how upset I am. Not did they seem to care that it took them over 18 hours to fill a grand total of 12 piles. I will never go back k to that store again. Some things are out of the staff's control, like the rush of people coming into the pharmacy resulting in longer wait times. I understand this and don't hold it against the pharmacy staff - some of them. The pharm tech I worked with one fateful night appeared to be angry with me for no reason. Wait- I think I know why. She mumbled a question, I couldn't understand so I responded politely with, "excuse me?" She asked again, only faster and still couldn't understand. I responded the same way. She then rolled her eyes and slowed it down so that my dumbass could understand her. Under normal circumstances I'd just pretend to understand her and nod to get out of an uncomfortable situation. I didn't think I should do this as I was picking up meds for my 13 month old son, didn't want to take the chance on getting the wrong meds or pay for something I didn't need. I have a habit of talking too fast, sometimes I mumble BUT I understand this. I'm not proud of it but I take ownership in it. When someone can't understand me, I don't get mad. I simply repeat my statement in a non-patronizing way because I'm an adult without an overbearing chip on my shoulder. This young lady has a lot to learn when it comes to customer service, I only wish my son was old enough so I could use her as an example of how not to talk to people. Otherwise my experience was great, the pharmacist was nice and spent a little extra time showing me how to administer the meds for my son. read more

apparently staff here doesnt know the service they provide. i mentioned minute clinic and the code i got for a quick checkin on machine. they simply had no idea what i was talking and insist i stay in line like other walk in cases. later figured myself that there was a machine and if u did hold your place online before stopping by u can reserve that spot. please at least be capable of directing the customers to the right place. also noticed super slow service because of their unfamilarity of their job. some simple cases made a long line. read more

Like most CVS pharmacies this one located in Mira Mesa is meant to push prescriptions. The staff at the cashiers counters always double as stock employees and when there is a line-up to pay for items the process can be very slow. Whether the slowness has to do with a lack of employees on the floor at a time, or the fact that they may be doing stock work I have yet to determine. CVS has improved on the variety of items they stock since it converted from a Save-On pharmacy. Save-On and the still existing Walgreens would not require a store card to buy items on sale, but CVS does... The staff here can be helpful, if you can find them. But when the lines form up at the cash registers they can be less patient with you. read more

They seem to always have the best deals on alcohol. Meager food choices, however. Checkout service can be a bit slow at times.

if you're into couponing, stay away from this loc. They'll make you feel uncomfortable and Im not even a heavy couponer. Russell is the worst staff there, very rude and disrespectful. She's rolled her eyes behind my back and one time she shook her head when I wasnt looking after I did 1 toothpaste transaction and All her obnoxiousness were witnessed by my daughter. Ive experienced more rude treatments from this staff. I hope the management will train her on how to politely deal with customers. Ive never had any unpleasant experiences in other CVS locations. read more

They seem understaffed. Waits are long. Even waited forever calling in to check if my photos were in. TOOK 2 WEEKS? Really CVS?

It took me 9 hour 12 minutes and 40 seaconds to pick-up my auntie's presciption when it was supposed to be ready last night when she left the hospital. One prescription was not able to be pick-up when I stopped there in morning. The Pharmacist only told me that they did to have doctor approval. All day i been waiting for a phone ... they never call me and inform that the the insurance won't pay for this prescription. I finally call them back and all they told me that they are still waiting for the doctor to to call. I finally ask them if I can pay out of pocket because their medical was related to the heart and they finally answer yes and rudely disconnected the phone line. When the went that for the second time the Pharmacist was still going to miss inform me, and I had to wait for a couple more minutes for them to put the medical together when it should have been done. AGAIN THIS WAS RELATED TO HEART MEDICAL AND WAS SUPPOSE TO TAKE TWICE A DAY AFTER MEAL not once at 10 pm. read more

The worst!!! 4 times to get one prescription filled. They are incapable of billing 2 insurances. Wait in line find out they didn't bill it right, go wait in another line to wait to resubmit, then you have to wait while they rerun insurance , then wait in line again to checkout. The worst I am moving all of my business to Walgreens across the street. read more

Understaffed and very long lines. Too slow. Employees need proper training. Don't know how to use photo printing. Took 2 hrs to get the prints. Items priced very high. They need to work hard on managing this place better and provide good customer service. read more

Waste of time and money! The male NP heard my concerns but did nothing to help except take my money $91. I felt judged by him and i felt placed in a category by him because of my race...so it made his job easier...he was a jerk and bad display of a healthcare professional. read more

I have come into this CVS a few times now and every time I have a question the employees don't know what they are doing and are not nice at all! I would much rather go to the CVS up the street on westview parkway! I think these employees need to do a little more training on how to run the front and how to treat their customers! I am extremely disappointed because it's a bigger store and has more options for what I buy. I won't be coming back to this cvs only because of the bad service! read more

i was in your store to make purchase the price marked on (sale price)should clearly state CVS card members only ,I am card member but i could remember the phone #nor my email address was not working maybe the cashier JEN could not spell it right, i pull a mint displayed at the front counter with the price clearly marked and was told card members only, now i was frustrated so i utter some comments to myself then the cashier Jen grab my merchandise off the counter i refuse service (there is no sign posted)GET out of my store!( str#9745) ,you guys need to respect your customers because if your managers act one way the employees think it is OK to treat customer like this is like they feel empowered to act this way , the culture in side this store as soon as person of brown or darker complexion he is immediately identified and followed , with the intent that they my or may not commit a crime, . you should keep your focus on customer service, expiration dates and price \signage read more

I am a huge fan of the lovely people in CVS at this location and the prices, however, I am thoroughly disgusted by the view of some shoppers to form one ridiculously long line when 2 or three registers are opened and expect everyone to follow the lambs to sla.....you know the rest. I personally, unless there is sign, walk right up to a available register. I could care less about the rude stares etc. If one wishes to hang around for hours where no sign is posted - knock yourselves out. This CVS management should take note regarding this issue in their store. All the staff are extraordinarily helpful and possess exemplary customer service but are constantly berated for this line issue, which is beyond their control. Management needs to get a grip and resolve this absurd dilemma (i.e. put markers and signs up). Lastly, later in the evenings some of the pharmacy staff prefer to ignore patrons - not a good idea with so many new stores opening up in the area - sick people want learned people to help them and complete attention and eye contact helps those of us with minor (hidden issues) to get the correct meds. In Mira Mesa, we really only have a choice between a few pharmacies and although this CVS is ALWAYS busy with LONG lines, this pharmacy is better than the other pharmacies. My quad son has received meds monthly from this for over 5 years. I have had numerous problems over the years with this pharmacy and how it was managed: lines way too long, although employees are friendly, they always look overworked. 3 out of 5 times I pick up my son's meds, there were problems with incorrect charges, wrong prescription orders filled, etc. HOWEVER, and I say with a BIG HOWEVER - there's a new guy in town - JOE! He's their new manager and is really turning things around. He PERSONALLY answered the phone when I called about yet another mixup with my son's meds. He was very patient listening to all my complaints, but he worked hard to fix everything AND called me back the same day (as promised) to explain how he was able to resolve a few things.So, my hat is off to JOE!!!! Looking forward to seeing more improvements at CVS. read more
