If it is for Passport size photos, I would suggest this is the best CVS when taken by Ramon :). I went today evening and Romon took Passport photos for all of us. He is very patient and make sure we get the best photo. Generally passport photos are easy and straight forward. The absolute worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. In the past two weeks they have made several errors in filling my prescriptions which have left me without medication that I need to take daily. My whole ordeal started when I had two prescriptions sent in two Mondays ago (March 5th). After the pharmacy received my prescriptions from my doctor, they called to inform me that they had received two prescriptions for me, but one of them was backordered and that I should send it to the Walgreens across the street so it could be filled quickly. So I called my doctor and she sent the backordered prescription to Walgreens. I'll get back to this later. So on Wednesday, I went to CVS to pick up my prescription that they had in stock. When I arrived they told me that there was no prescription waiting for me and that I would have to call my doctor to have her send in the prescription. Now just two days before, they told me on the phone that they had two prescriptions available for me. One was cancelled and sent to Walgreens but the other, which I was trying to pick up, should have still been at CVS. I left and called my doctor who then called CVS herself to straighten things out. The pharmacist with whom she spoke told her that they did have the prescription for me, but that I couldn't pick it up until the Friday the 16th since it had been less than a month since I refilled the prescription last. This made sense, but it was frustrating that they couldn't have told me that in person. Now back to my backordered prescription. The next Wednesday the 14th, I went to pick up my prescription from Walgreens. When I got there, the prescription had been filled, but I was told that insurance wouldn't cover it because it had already been filled at the CVS across the street... Yes, the CVS that had me send the prescription to Walgreens in the first place because it had apparently been backordered had filled my prescription. Fortunately for me, the workers at Walgreens were competent and fixed the problem quickly by calling CVS and having them cancel their prescription so I could just buy the one I had filled already from Walgreens. At this point, it had been a week since my two prescriptions had been sent to CVS and I had just picked up my first of the two. I wouldn't be able to pick up my second prescription until Friday. My weekend got away from me and I wasn't able to pick up the prescription until Sunday. Before heading to CVS, I called ahead to make sure my prescription was ready, I'm I'm sure glad that I did. When I called them, once again I was told that my prescription wasn't available because my doctor never sent it in. Except she had sent the prescription. She sent it the first time (Monday the 5th), then was told I couldn't pick it up for a week, but that it would be available on Friday the 16th. When I called on Sunday the 18th, I was told that they still did not have a prescription for me. Now it is Monday and it's been two weeks since my prescriptions were originally sent in. I was able to get my backordered prescription from Walgreens. However, my other prescription which was never backordered has still not been given to me by CVS. I am now officially out of medicine that I need to take daily in order to function properly. In summary, CVS told me a prescription was backordered and had me send it to Walgreens. But then they filled the prescription anyways, meaning that it was never backordered and they were just wasting my time. This lead to complications at Walgreens when I tried to pick up my "backordered" prescription. Then, I was lied to and turned away twice from a prescription that had, in fact, been sent in for me. Now I'm without essential medicine for who knows how long. This has been the most ridiculous ordeal. I am so disappointed with the customer service and lack of organization at CVS. I would like to find a new 24 hour pharmacy in Mira Mesa, so if anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs if you don't want to have your time wasted, deal with incompetent staff, or be left without medicine that is essential in your daily life. read more

Do not print photos from your phone via facebook. Photo quality was poor and it is NOT a next day service. Order showed a status of "in process" until a complaint was made to corporate who was kind enough to apply a 25 percent online coupon. When the friendly cashier informed the store manager of the price modification in front of me, he listened to what i said and instead of apologizing, he had the nerve to say "oh there's probably more to that story." Ok freaking jerk face! im glad I made that complaint now. read more

I tried to call in to the pharmacy here about 15 minutes before I was going to show up and they kept putting me on hold and nobody ever picked up. I show up there and I'm waiting in line to do the drop off and this lady's having a really hard time answering this couples simple question. This CVS used to be great. Unfortunately, the pharmacy staff is either overworked or under-motivated. Prescriptions called or faxed in directly from the doctor are not filled in a timely manner and when I have called to check on them, the staff has to search high and low just to find it. Another downside is that the lines at the pharmacy are HUGE. Ridiculously huge. No one should have to wait 20-30 minutes in line to drop off or pick up a prescription. read more

Slowest pharmacy EVER. They always have double the staff of the walgreens across the street but it takes them about 4 times as long. I only come here when walgreens doesn't have my prescription but I dread it every time. And if you look behind the counters, the floor is dirty and covered with pieces of paper and tops of pill bottles. Don't go here if you can help it. read more

I was at home when I called cvs to save me time. I had a question to ask the pharmacist regarding my medication. Soon as they picked up the phone they put me on hold so I decided to drive to cvs while I was on hold. When I got there, there was 4-5 pharmacy staff employees and 4 customers in line. I called again and got my questions answered. This place sucks. Something is wrong with the customer service wait times.Another time, cvs said they faxed a request to refill my prescription. My doctor never got it. They said they did it twice. My doctor said they frequently had problems with CVS. I am still waiting in line as I write this review. read more

I truly HATE this pharmacy! The only reason it got 2 stars is because the people that work there tend to be very nice. However, I have tried repeatedly to have them stop calling or texting me. I even contacted the corporate office twice & was assured that my phone number would be removed & I would no longer receive calls/texts. Not true. I received one yesterday & again today. And today when I answered, someone said they wanted to talk to me about my meds & then asked for my personal info first. So I asked what meds you're calling about but was told they couldn't talk to me without that info first so I said fine & hung up. Don't call me & then say you can't talk to me without my giving you info. Remember they called me not the other way around. I am now going to transfer my prescriptions to another drugstore because I am so sick of this place. Also as a side note, prescriptions are never ready when they say they will be. Also, one time my doctor sent over 7 prescriptions (6 with refills) but only 5 were filled & not all at the same time. And they only added refills to 3 of them so I had to spend more money going back to the doctor to get more new prescriptions. This is the slowest pharmacy I've ever been to. read more

Tried to get my prescription refill which cost me $0.40 last time. I go in to find its $84. I look at the label and find out its brand name version. I tell the pharmacist I need the generic version as it was refilled last time. The pharmacist Theresa starts talking to me as if it's my mistake. Don't go here unless you want to wait in a LONG line!! I had to pick up grandma's meds and it took a long time!! There was some insurance mix up and they didn't call her in advance to sort it out! I found out when I was at the counter after waiting 10-15min for someone to even help me!! Then I had to wait for them to fix the insurance issue, which was another 20 minutes. Basically they should have been more efficient and called to sort out issues before people come to get their prescriptions. The people working there are also not as friendly. I would rather go to target pharmacy across the street instead. They are usually super nice and friendly. read more

As a doctor, I deal with pharmacies on a daily basis and this is a horrible pharmacy. They show no concern for the patients getting medicines. I tried to pick up an urgent prescription for my wife. It had been called in several hours prior but was not ready and I was told to come back in 20 minutes. I returned and waited in line again to be told that it was on hold. I wait in my third line and all they want is an updated insurance card. I provided them the information. I'm told the prescription is still not ready but they will get it while I wait. 20 minutes again and my name is called. I go to the front to pick up the script and they tell me to go wait in line again for a fourth time. I gave up and had it transferred to the CVS on Scripps Poway Parkway. I would never go back again and I will encourage all my patients not to fill their prescriptions at this pharmacy. read more

It has come to the point where if you need drug store stuff you have to go to cvs so as much as I try to avoid going here I sometimes have to go. If at all possible I prefer to go next door to vons. Here is the problem I have with cvs. you never know where the register is and where the line is. Is it one line or multiple lines, which register is open. I get so annoyed when I have to shop here. And there is usually no one to help find things. There is a reason why other retailers position cash registers the way that they do. It provides for the best customer experience and is efficient. But not here at cvs. Its about time they modernize their checkout process. read more

I figured it would be appropriate to review CVS now that Walgreens is open now in Mira Mesa, and for the most part, this CVS is pretty average. I only come here if they have good deals in their ads that I can't get at Target/Wal-Mart. I also used to whore their extra bucks program but a lot of them to me aren't worth the trouble. I'm pretty sure I can live without buying 15 bucks worth of candy to get 5 extra bucks. And when the extra buck checks come in every 3 months, I won't cry about it because of my lack of shopping here. Checking out here can be a nightmare with the aforementioned lack of a starting line, especially at night when lots of people are buying drinks and the cashiers have thinned out. I will give props to the pharmacy for having a diverse crowd to overcome the language barrier. So in the end, CVS ends up being a place for me to shop only for some awesome deals and as a reminder to use my Extra Bucks every 3 months. read more

Everyone knows the lines always suck at CVS. Their point of sale systems are slow and it doesn't help with staff that move like molasses. What makes up for it is that the cashiers are nice and they are normally sweet old women that thank you for waiting in line. What sucks even more though is that some of the staff I've dealt with at the PHARMACY. I could barely understand what some of them are saying to me. At times, you call and wonder if you're even speaking to someone in the U.S. Yes, it really is that bad. I'm Asian and even I don't understand some of them. I have encountered some pharmacy staff who have poor etiquette and lack any professionalism. I was there two weeks ago to pick up three prescriptions. The lady (last name was Le) gave me two. I asked about the third one. She looked irritated and told me that the Doctor did not call in three prescriptions. I went home and called my Doctor's office. They confirmed they sent over three prescriptions. My Doctor's office called CVS and the same lady that helped me told my Doctor's office that she gave me all three! I called CVS and asked her why she told them she gave me three. She told me that she needed to talk to the manager. She put me on hold for 8 minutes and then got back on the phone and told me she "don't know" and that "I give you what you come for. Not my problem anymore. You do, you call Doctor. I don't know." After going back and forth with this idiot of a "pharmacist" and my Doctor's office, I just ended up getting my prescription at another pharmacy which had no issues and pleasant staff. I'm done with this dusty store and their homeless people wandering the isles. read more

I was here at 6am yesterday and probably had the best customer service ever by a gentleman named Duvall. Not only did he greet me when I came in but was the friendliest staff I've ever encountered in any CVS. Unlike 90% of CVS customer service reps, Duvall gave a good vibe and actually seem like he wanted to be there and you can tell by his outstanding customer service. CVS, you need more people like him. The store was clean when they first opened but has really gone downhill lately. There are crude, dog-eared, hand-lettered signs, for example the one by checkout that starts the line. The checkout lines are always very long. The people usually checking out customers either don't speak English very well or have some other cultural differences going on because I perceive them as very rude. They will just say one or two words to you, like "There" when they hand you your receipt. I always say things like "Hello, how are you?" and the courtesy is not returned. The pharmacists are nice but the wait to fill a prescription is really long. If you have twenty minutes to wait in line this store is not so bad... but last time I came in, I put my purchases back since there was a huge line, it was crawling, and only one cashier was working. read more

I come to this pharmacy every month for my in-laws medication refills and my experience with them has always been satisfactory. Today, is a big disappoinment. I came to pick-up my son's suspension antibiotic and cream for his rashes. It took me an hour wait before they called me. While waiting, one of the pharmacists wearing a William name badge was mixing meds and kept dropping the lids or cap of the medication and didn't even wipe it clean after picking it up off the floor. I thought, "Shouldn't he at least rinse it first before replacing the cap?". After dinner and I was ready to give my son's antibiotic, when I opened the prescription bag the bottles were still in powder form. The suspension wasn't mixed. So I had to drive back 3 miles to CVS to have the suspension mixed. Again, I had the misfortune of witnessing another pharmacist preparing meds. A lady wearing a Samantha name badge pulled out a tray from a pill counter machine and when she noticed it wasn't completely collected in the tray, she reached in with bare hands (ungloved) and slid them off the edge of the desk counter and poured in the bottle. Not once did I see her wash her hands before or after she did that the entire 10 mins wait time i spent at the consult window. Today, their service was so wrong and with poor techniques. Nightmare! Don't ever shop at a CVS on a Saturday. None of their prices are accurate. Would you believe they change over all their Saturday's prices to Sunday's prices one day ahead, so they'll be ready for Sunday's sales?!! So here I am with a 30% off coupon (only good on non-sale items). I'd carefully selected 10 non-sale items and 5 sale items based on the prices displayed. After being rung up (but before completion), I noticed my coupon wasn't being applied. That's when I was informed about their "switching prices on Saturday" policy. SO ALMOST EVERY PRICE DISPLAYED WAS NOT CORRECT--UNTIL SUNDAY! When I informed the cashier that this was misleading and frustrating, she told me I should have used the kiosk (which often doesn't work) to price check all of my items before bringing them to the register. NO WAY! What customer does that? How was I supposed to know most of the displayed prices were going to be wrong? So I ended up switching out some items or returning them. Very inconvenient and misleading. How can this be legal? Aren't the prices displayed supposed to be the ones the items actually cost on the day you buy them? read more

I've been a customer at cvs pharmacy for a good ten to fifteen years and this cvs is pathetic all the way from their service being super unprofessional and slow and the employees being super rude. I had a discount card I've been using at different cvs's for the past year because my meds are super expensive so it basically helped me get up to a 65%-75% discount and when I got my meds transferred to this one about a week ago that card all of the sudden didn't work anymore because the three or four other cvs I used the card at had to have been an error is what the girl said at the front, ur kidding right?!?! My meds went from $28 all the way to $90 cuz of this so called "error". Just bad service all the way around I'm telling you. My next script will not be filled here I guarantee u that even though it's the closest one to my new house I just moved into. I have been going to CVS for years. However, I have never in all my life been treated so badly by the pharmacy as I was just the other day. My daughter was sick and the local urgent care sent over 2 medicines for my daughter. They were sent o ER at 7:45pm. After a few hours and I never heard from them, I called, only to be playing ed on hold for over 30 mins. Then hung up and called back and was about to be placed back on hold when I told them NO, and asked for the medicine. I was told it had not been filled yet and would be fetch in 30 mins. It was over 12 hours later that I was notified that the medicine was ready. My daughter was sick and in pain all night because of that pharmacy. They were rude to me not only when I called, but when I finally was told my stuff was reach. They did not seem to care how upset I am. Not did they seem to care that it took them over 18 hours to fill a grand total of 12 piles. I will never go back k to that store again. Their customers service is horrible, they do not care about their customers or the community!! read more
