SUPER transphobic. I went in presenting as female (I'm a trans woman) and tried to buy alcohol but was denied BY THE MANAGER because I didn't look enough like my ID...I was forced to take off my wig and offer to wash off my makeup...and then she hesitantly let me. She kept defending her original decision saying it was the law, but I pointed out that once I tool the wig off, she COULD tell it was me easily...so she just wasn't even trying to read my facial features in the first place. Of the hundreds of times I've used my ID since coming out, this is the FIRST and only time this happened in the entire Bay Area...and the only other time was in a tiny restaurant in a super rural and transphobic part of North Carolina. The manager denied transphobia, but when I pointed out that this couldn't happen to a cis person, she didn't have a response. Particularly if your gender presentation doesn't match your ID pic/gender, stay the hell away from this place. I was astonished that as a 26 year old trans woman, I was literally forced to take off my wig and offer to take my makeup off to buy 4 mini wine bottles IN THE BAY AREA. And remember, this was the manager, so I wouldn't expect any better. :-( read more

Unwelcoming atmosphere. They carry many things woodlands does not so I shop there frequently. However many of the staff have a very unpleasant attitude, and one man in particular who is balding and seems to be in his late 40s is especially rude. He would always follow me and my friends around because he thought we would steal something. There is also cobwebs on every isle number, making it pretty obvious that cleaning is not of high priority. I don't know if she works there anymore, but one time I was sitting outside with my friend and we saw one of the cashiers come outside and dig through the dirt for cigarettes. Very disgusting and she was obviously not concerned about us seeing her. They have a nice selection of items but customer service is bad. Don't even get me started on the pharmacy. read more

I rarely write scathing reviews, but here goes. I have been a customer of this pharmacy since its opening and initially was very pleased by the personnel and service. Over the past several years, there has been an incredible amount of turnover, especially among the pharmacists. This has led to confusion, incorrectly filled prescriptions (wrong generics being provided) and incredible amount of delay in filling prescriptions. This is made worse by the seemingly uncaring attitude of most pharmacists, save for a gentlemen named John who is no longer there. read more

Extremely rude African American employee with tons of attitude that is unnecessary and completely out of place. I have no issues with the store or other employees. This one in particular, shocked beyond words. I think people like her should not work in places where polite and pleasant interaction is required. Advice for the employee: Go visit the CVS in Sausalito. There is an African American lady twice your age you could get some serious life lessons from. She's amazing. I started going here on occasion when I'm in town, and I've never had any issues since they opened a few months ago. The pharmacist was friendly and helpful. Drive thru is a convenient addition. read more

It's nice, it's new, but the people who work here are...a little off and not very helpful. "One hour photo" only works if they initiate it when you order, which...apparently they don't. Weird experience. Rude treatment. read more

The CVS pharmacy/pharmacists have lost track of the values that made their reputation. It is no wonder CVS has been ordered to pay 2.25 million dollars for "not appropriately dispose of sensitive patient information or provide the necessary training on disposal to their employees, in addition to a $38.5 million settlement for engaging in deceptive business practices; and CVS was ordered to pay $77.6 million in fines and returned profits stemming from a lawsuit alleging improper control in the sale of an ingredient used to make methamphetamine." - just to name a few. Sadly, I see no evidence that CVS has improved. The pharmacy is plagued with poor customer service, uneducated and unskilled technicians who's consistently costly mistakes become the burden of their customers. This chain store is another pitiful example of greed run a mock. The staff of this pharmacy, and every other CVS I have been in appear to be taking the medications they are paid to fill, there is no other rational explanation for their unacceptable mistakes. Their presence compromises the safety of our community and at the end of the day the owner may not care what one person thinks, but if they anger enough people one by one they will eventually destroy their local and statewide base. I had to select one star in order to post, but that star was not earned. I am very please to read others have taken their Rx elsewhere. read more

I live near the Tiburon CVS but rarely go in unless I am desperate because it is very small, the prices are high, they are not very friendly, dont have the right merchandise. read more

I spend a lot of time near Boston, and the people from Woonsocket need to know this is the best CVS in the whole chain. It is a beautiful store, well stocked, and with really nice staff. Jacqueline, at the checkout is the best, but really, everyone in the store is just so polite and helpful. This CVS also stocks unusual things you could not imagine, like anchovy paste and artichoke hearts. This store is a community winner and you see everyone from town shopping there. read more

The tiburon cvs is a great place to go, it is fully stocked with everything you need and convinenlty located in central tiburon.

Went there Saturday and the lady at the cash register was not at all nice she actually act like I was Brothering here I thought that was her job. Usually cashier hand you your change your hand have a great day not her. She basically through my change at and didn't so have good a day or by. That's bad customer service. Unbelievable read more

Generally, I've enjoyed going to this CVS. The daytime manager is a really nice lady, but I've recently had two horrific experiences with the other manager (evening?) Dave. It takes a lot for me to say that someone is a truly awful person, but Dave definitely meets the criteria. My most recent experience went as follows: I did my prep work by bringing my coupons (including a 25% off my entire purchase of regular priced items coupon) and went to the coupon kiosk to get whatever else was available. I took my time to select precisely what I needed while trying to maximize my buying power with my coupons. I shopped for close to an hour and was thoroughly satisfied with my selections. When I went up to the check stand, the clerk asked me for my CVS card. I told him my phone number (as I've been doing for years), but he said that I needed my actual card because their equipment wasn't responding to phone number entries that evening. I told him I didn't have my card but he didn't seem to care. I was getting upset because I would be losing out on $35-45 worth of coupon savings if they couldn't use my phone number. Upset, but not angry, I asked to speak with the manager. In the past, the other manager has always taken good care of me and helped me resolve whatever problems I had. That would not be the case with DAVE, the evening manager. His attitude was simply tough luck for me. I told him that he should have put up a sign letting customers know that they needed their actual cards to get discounts. He said it wasn't his responsibility and he refused to help me in any way. I told him that the other manager would have made it right. He angrily snapped at me and used foul language. Other people in line were shocked. I ran out of the store without any of my selections determined never to return. If you see a sloppy balding blonde guy in a cheap suit with his shirt untucked, turn around and go to the Mill Valley CVS instead. read more

It's hard to conceive a pharmacy more dysfunctional and inept than the CVS in tiburon. I have been trying for years in the hopes that maybe one day, in this decade, that they would get it right but today was the final straw. A prescription was called for one of my children and I went to pick it up. They didn't receive it but in the meantime I picked up one for my husband and told them that there was updated insurance that should be applied to the entire family's profile. 3 MORE ATTEMPTS (and 3 more drives there) from doctors office and they finally got it, went to pick it up, knowing it was important medicine for my child, and they had gone out to lunch and said to come back full well knowing I was coming back and waiting for it. Our babysitter went back to get it and they said they lost the insurance info that I had just told them to apply to all accounts 2 hours earlier. On the 6th try, I got a simple RX filled!!! Every doctor I have shudders when I say send an RX to this pharmacy. They are inept, rude, complacent and lack a complete sense of how to do job or why they need to at least make a half ;&:$ attempt to their job; sick people are depending on them and they could care less. the entire staff in that CVS is off and miserable - something is wrong. Sticking with Safeway pharmacy in mill valley. I would rather drive out of town than business to this pharmacy. Unbelievable. read more
