Sitting in the airport, reflecting back on my vacation through the PNW. It was glorious and the food was fun, unique and really what drives my travel. I was looking back through my pictures, telling myself that I must write reviews for my favorites so I begin searching them on Yelp. Man...what a tough world we live in. So easy to complain, so annoying to read. But that was the trick that got my butt in gear and registered for yelp to pot some reviews. So, thank you over zealous, whiny, yelpers... b/c of you I am here. So lets start with CYCLE DOGS. 1) It's a FOOD TRUCK. FOOD TRUCK. TRUCK. MOVING VEHICLE. Do NOT go here if you are expecting a host to greet you, be seated and waited on with perfectly timed course drops at your table. That's a restaurant. If you want that experience, don't come to a food truck. However, if you want, AMAZING, THOUGHTFUL, MELT IN YOUR MOUTH, BETTER FOR THE PLANET, FUN and FORWARD veg creations do come here. I came twice in one week-- Once for Vegan Big Mac Nite and once middle of the day on a Sunday. Big Mac Nite was crowded. But I didn't care-- I was drinking beer in beer garden with friends and I had a buzzer to alert me when my order was up. It took about 25 minutes to get the food,but that is ok bc there were likely 30-40 orders a head of me. And AGAIN...THIS IS A FOOD TRUCK. Limited space, limited storage, limited bodies that can fit on that thing. This is NOT a massive 1000+ sq ft industrial kitchen. Use your head ppl--- those reviews below infuriate me. There is no way to mistake you are ordering from a truck. Also- they tell you BEFORE they take your money what the wait time will be. So again, if you have a CHOICE. And YAY that this Vegan Food Truck is poppin and that many ppl want to eat there. Said a lot to me that literally 40 ppl were like "HEll YEAH I am going to wait as long as it takes to get that vegan burger." Sunday I went- there were maybe 10 ppl in front of me in line-- but I got my food in about 10 minutes. 2) This truck is NOT serving you random animal parts that were scraped off a factory floor. This place is serving you pretty delicious, mostly organic, LOCALLY made ingredients. If you want a $4 hot dog-- this is not your place. This is a full meal. You likely will get 3/4ths of the way through and know you need to stop, but can't. They do not skimp on ingredients or toppings. I imagine, for some reason, those below complaining or even mentioning that their meal cost $12 likely don't think twice when they are buying their $6 coffee drinks every morning. You know that hot beverage alongside your meal. It's worth every freaking penny in my book. Again, EVERY FREAKING penny. 3) The owner is nice. Literally loving what he is doing and is doing it to make others happy. My bf and I talked to him for a few minutes randomly when we were getting a beer inside. Not only is the owner nice, but the employees were nice. And boy do they hustle. No one, in the many hours I spent hanging out here was slacking. These ppl were flying on that truck-- trying to get orders out. 4) It appears, as all food trucks are, that this is a really small business. They don't have a website, but they do have an active social media presence on Instagram and facebook. That is how I found out about them, of the #seattleats tag. I am not vegan, but the food looked so damn good, I wanted to give it a try. So glad I did. The reviews below fussing about not finding them ( how do you a miss a large food truck parked permanently in a beer garden) confused on hours, and that stupid happy hour complaint below.....HOW DID YOU MISS THE INFO? I literally went to insta, wrote down their hours, clicked the map hyper link, walked to the beer garden and BOOM, just like magic, they were exactly where they said they would be. GROW UP! This is a small business and your pettiness is exhausting. Support local small business or go eat at Red Robin. Each fills a need, each a different experience. Don't take it out on a small business because it didn't give you the big chain fast food experience. Their specials, daily, weekly, and monthly appear to be posted via SM As well yes, I saw TWICE in one week the advertisement for happy hour. Pretty hard to miss. Unless you are looking for a reason to complain. 5) Anyway here is what I ate: Elote Dog ( mother effin delicious), the TrashCan Dog ( accurate description of my life and the Vegan Big Mac. All I can say is , YAS, YAS, and OH HELL YAS. I had never had anything similar to the first two in my adult eating life, but the vegan big mac was more glorious than I remember the "Big Mac" being at 2AM on a Saturday. I also tried the fried oreos. I liked them. I am not big on sweets so a couple bites into one and I was good but my BF enjoyed them and felt they were similar to carnival food. So TLDR: Go here. Eat yummy. Drink lovely things. Be Happy. If you are in a crazy rush, come back when you have time. Also, don't use YELP to fuss. Check your privilege. read more

Yay Cycle Dogs is baaaaaaaaaaack ! ( well almost!) Test running the food truck at various locations this week and then opening at permanent location next week. We have followed him to several local breweries over Seattle and tend to over eat each time--- I never regret it! My usual is an Elote Dog and my partner gets the trash can, before we leave we usually end up splitting a third-usually the special. I especially like be the toasted buttered buns-- I think about those dang buns all the time. The owner is nice and really cares about ppl enjoying the food. Our first experience got the orders ( hold this add this) backward but as soon as we mentioned it he was like " you are right, I screwed that up". He offered for us to get a full refund and keep the dogs, or keep the dogs and he would make us an additional two more. We opted for the second option and will always remember how cool he was about fixing it. My summer plan is to starve myself all day and then eat hot dogs all night. I'm kidding of course, well at least I think I am. Edit: I eat too fast to take pictures but crinkle fries have been added to the menu!!!! read more

I'm honestly surprised this place has so many good reviews on here! I used to LOVE coming here. Then things took a weird turn. Service was nice but extremely slow. I get being short staffed, but y'all are marketing yourself as vegan "fast food." The interior is oddly decorated; not super inviting and sort of haphazardly thrown together with no real vision. The last 4 times we have been there have been really up and down. I've been trying to give chance after chance, but this last time was the last. My husband ordered us takeout on his way home from work. He got there right when it was being packed up, and then home 20 minutes later. Well, when the food got home, it was soggy and cold. There is no way 20 minutes in a car would do that if it was just being packed up. My blt was not worth $15. It had 3 pieces of undercooked "bacon" on there, one tomato, and one piece of soggy lettuce on bread that was barely toasted. My husband's Carolina gold chicken sandwich was burnt and also mushy at the same time. We will not be coming back to give you another chance. read more

Not a vegan but real happy to eat this vegan food anytime. Was day drinking at the brewery they are parked at with buddies and kept seeing people walk by with this epic looking food. I wasn't going to give in to the vegan food but finally succumbed. It was great. I have now added this place to my rotation of dining out options. I had the Elote Dog and my roommate had the Richards Deluxe. Both of us were happy and got seconds towards the end of the day. I have since gone back several times and although I want to break away and try more things, that grilled corn calls my name every time. For those reading, the Elote Dog is grilled corn topped with cayenne, mayo, green onions and a lime wedge. I would say all up- there are about 20 different menu items, mostly dogs, some burger, a quesadilla I think, and i saw people walking around with corn dogs but didn't see it on the menu. Cycle Dogs is a vegan destination for us! Super delicious plant-based fast food. Tasty burgers, tasty loaded dogs, super tasty breakfast items on Saturdays. Good fries too. The staff is always friendly and we've never had an issue with our order. My non-vegan dad likes everything he's had there too! We regularly check their Instagram on Fridays to see what temptation they have on deck emulating another chain's burgers; my personal favorite is the Baconator and their take on Animal Style is also good. As a bonus the outdoor seating at Peddler Brewing (their usual location) is nice and the tap rotation is pretty good. Get there early on busy days though -- if a lot of people have ordered before you you might have to wait a bit for the tastiness to reach you. They also accept Apple Pay (via Square). read more

I was visiting Seattle with 3 meat eaters and I begged them to come with me to this food truck to try it out. We got there and were surprised by the beer garden and massive outdoor/corn hole area. The guys taking orders were super patient with me while I took forever to decide on what I wanted. The meat eaters said they weren't going to get anything, until they saw an order come up. They ended up getting the standard dogs and put their own toppings on it. I went all out and got the breakfast one. Drool worthy. One of the meat eaters even went back and ordered another one. Next time I come back to Seattle, I will be back. read more

Cycle Dogs is the best vegan comfort food in town! So glad they are parked at The Dane at the moment. It has a tented shared patio with distanced tables. They have contactless ordering online and offer delivery and pickup on their website. Love all the burgers they offer and the hot chicken sandwich special they have sometimes! The dogs are good too! The brunch breakfast burrito is soooo good highly recommend with some salsa! read more

This place is amazing! We go here as often as possible and it has never disappointed. It's one of my favorite places to bring my non vegan friends to show them how delicious vegan food is! The staff are super friendly and the food is amazing. I love how there are always new creative specials to try. This was an amazing vegan restaurant in Ballard. I only just heard that it closed, and nearly a year ago! I don't live in Seattle but I was working a lot in Queen Anne last year and would frequent this place for delicious plant based fast food style grub. I always had a great experience. A food paradise for vegans and non vegans alike. I recently had to move away from Seattle but still find myself dreaming of their elote dog. I sometimes wonder why I torture myself and follow their Instagram since I just end up looking at the pictures of food I can no longer eat but it is awesome to follow all of the good things Cycle Dogs does for the greater community. Amazing!!! We drove up from Tacoma just to go to Cycle Dogs Sunday brunch. Sooo worth it! Something with an umbrella drink was our fav. The pancakes were out of this world! So fluffy yet with the perfect crispy, the kind of pancakes you can't stop thinking about! Breakfast sandwich was phenomenal, with marbled bacon. Wonderful food, drinks and owner! read more

The food can be good, but the highly irregular service kills it. They turn off online ordering and change ingredients on a whim so often you never know when you can go or what you're actually getting. Also have gotten obviously moldy food in orders on several occasions. Just go to Next Level down the street. read more

I would have given them 3 stars but the owner responding passive aggressively to people's legitimate frustrations with their mediocre service and totally inconsistent product got a star knocked off. This was hands down the best vegan food I've ever had. My partner, who is a meat eater, loved it just as much as I did. We got the trash can dog & burger & were shocked that we ate the whole thing lol. I highly recommend making the time to go visit them. I will definitely be back. Sooo goood read more

Cycle Dogs rocks! We've been fans since it was a "bike-food-cart" & they just keep getting better! Everything is great - breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, cycle dogs, burgers, chipotle mayo, etc. We also had them cater my sons bday party and they made "happy meals" for the kids!! read more

I can't express how much I love this establishment. The owners are amazing, the staff is amazing. You get the true fast food feel without killing any animals. What more could you ask for. This needs to be the #1 spot for all vegans especially if you're new to the city. read more

My favorite was the elote dog, until I tried the PDX.... Now I have a crisis every time I go to the cart--- but always end up getting both. So good, all vegan-- freaking delicious. Glad this is in Seattle! read more
