We were having problems with our AC unit so we called Mario he came out and fixed it a month later it stopped working he came out right away and gave us two options he said the first option was to replace the whole AC unit or we could replace the motor he wasn't quite sure what it was but he was fairly confident that was the motor that needed to be replaced if it was up to us if we wanted to spend the money for a new unit or save money and see if it was the fan we decided to replace the motor and he was here the next day replaced it in 15 minutes and our AC is working great he was able to save us a ton of money and not have to buy a whole new AC unit and furnace he said if there's any problems to text or call him anytime he was wonderful prompt fast affordable reliable would highly recommend!!!!!! read more

DID NOT SHOWUP! We had an appointment last Saturday with Cyclone Air Systems from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm to clean our dryer vent. We waited and I called at 1:00 pm as their technician, Mike has not shown up and it's already 1:00 pm. They said he was leaving Livermore and on his way to our place in Suisun. So we waited. At 2:08 pm, he still has not shown up nor called us. So we called again and they said they have to call the technician and asked us to hold on. They told us that he was in Martinez and that we have to wait. We wasted over two hours waiting and no show. Neither did they call us nor the technician inform us that he is running late. read more

Amazing service provided by Cyclone! I haven't cleaned my chimney in 20 years. I recently had my glass break and finally was able to replace it. Once I used it, I had a smokey smell and decided to finally get my chimney cleaned. I received a quick response when I requested a quote. The furnace wasn't blowing, and hence I called Cyclone Air Systems based on the review. Mario was able to schedule a visit the next day. They do required $49 up front, but will be credited if you use their service. Mario was able to quickly debugged the issue. Instead of changing the entire motherboard, he recommended on trying to change the voltage amplified first which is cheaper, and he won't charge if it doesn't work. Luckily, the voltage amplified works, but he found another issue on the secondary fan. Mario is nice enough to removed it for debug and he found a loose screw without charge. This type of going the extra miles service is hard to come by from contractors these days. Hopefully the furnace holds up. read more

I have had nothing but professional experiences with Cyclone Air Systems, who've come up on multiple occasions. I've had some issues where my Nest thermostat led to a bunch of parts failing; Cyclone quickly diagnosed the issues and replaced the parts. They advised me to replace the Nest Learning Thermostat with a battery powered one; one of their technicians a couple of months ago spent time on the phone helping me diagnose issues, and I managed to save a trip from them at the time. Most recently, the circuit board on our furnace finally died and we were left without heat. A special shoutout to Francisco, who came day of - even though he didn't originally have room on his schedule, he got the job done early, and was able to diagnose and fix the issue; he even had the part on hand. He explained what was going thoughtfully and was very welcoming to our Covid safety concerns - he explained to me some changes to do the Thermostat so I could do it inside our house without having to deal with throwing a mask on our toddler. Terrible service. Rude and unprofessional guy. Our heater and AC had issues. I called him and informed him that both AC and Heater are having issues can he diagnose the issue. He said yes and we set up an appointment. He came and said he will look at the heating first. He informed me the issue could be with couple of parts and he can try to fix it. I told him to look at the AC as I would like to get both things fixed together as per our phone conversation. He got upset. He said he will not look at the AC unless I get him to fix the heater. I told him I need to see if the AC is fixable and per our conversation would like to get both fixed. He got upset and started being rude. I told him we are done and I don't think I want him to look at the AC and he can leave. That's when he realized that he will be losing out on my business. He said he will take a look at the AC. After opening the AC he is asking me what the issue I am facing (which I had explained to him multiple times at this point). Initially he was adament that the heat and AC issue were related. Then he said AC might be ok but the problem might be with the insulation. He said he has a big infrared camera to diagnose the issue but he does not want to diagnose. At that point I realized he was wasting my time. He wanted to get the heater fixed and get the money and be out of there. I don't think he knew what the issue was with either. Dealing with him was waste of time and money.I will surely not recommend this guy to anyone. read more

I bought a new house and when I turned the AC on, dust came out of the vents. So I went on Yelp and requested quotes for air duct cleaning. A few different companies reached out and I decided to go with Cyclone because I they offered before and after photos and George who I spoke with on the phone seemed genuinely interested in earning my business. He matched the price of another quote and we set up an appointment for the following week to clean my 16 air ducts and furnace. Day of the appointment my house cleaners were there and I had to run out of the house but was going to be back before the time Cyclone was going to be there. Unfortunately I hit traffic coming home and Cyclone got there before I got home. Luckily the cleaner let them in and they got started. Two young guys came to do the service. I got there 20 minutes after they started and they finished about 20 minutes after I got home. One of the guys told me they were done and requested payment for 15 air ducts. I told him I had 16, he assured me I had 15. I asked to see the before and after photos and he shows me 8 photos, 4 before and 4 after. Not sure where the rest of the photos were or if that was even photos of my house. Very unprofessional. I asked another question and then it was clear that this guy did not know a lot of English. I paid him and they both left and that was when I realized they were only at my house for about 40 minutes when on the phone they told me it could take between an hour or two. I looked in a few of the air ducts, there was a lot of dust still in the bottom...isn't that what I just paid $500 to get rid of?! So 10 minutes after they left I call the two guys and ask them to come back, I could tell they didnt want to by the excuses they made on the phone but they did. While they were on their way back I looked in the other air ducts and they didn't do any of the bathroom air ducts, that's 3 that they missed! And as previously stated there was dust in the bottom of some of the others. So they come back and have a smaller vacuum type machine than the first time and vacuum up the dust air ducts and get the 3 that they missed. At this point I'm irritated because who knows what kind of job they even did. They missed 3 of the 16 yet charged me for 15?! Not to mention there is dust all around the air ducts. The purpose of this was to get rid of the dust! So I call the main number and George answers again and he made excuses for the guys that came saying that their young, they work quickly, the ducts haven't been cleaned for a long time, etc. George also told me that the guys turned off the air conditioning when they got there and then turned it back on and that was why there was dust. I told him that's not true because I have the AC connected to my phone and it was never turned off yet he assured me it was. He also told me that my cleaner showed the guys the ducts and that was why they only did 15 because she only showed them 15. She never told me she showed them the ducts, she said they walked around the house themselves to find the ducts. A lot of inconsistencies and excuses here. So he says he is going to come and clean the ducts himself the next week to give me peace of mind. Appointment time rolls around and it's the same guy from the first time, the one that doesn't know a lot of English. I told him I was expecting George and he calls his boss and his boss tells me George had something come up and couldn't make it. So they send the one of guys that screwed it up the first time?! Okay whatever. Lucky for me, my dad was there at the time and he was working on the water heater next to the furnace and he tells me the furnace was never even cleaned the first time!!!! The guy did the job over again but who knows what he really did, no before and after photos as promised and advertised. More mistakes caught from the first time. Seriously what an annoying let down. read more

I am an exasperated home owner who feels like she has been used by the service companies I have been dealing with, then Mario called me as a result of my request for a quote. He didn't rush me off the phone he spent time asked me questions about our problem. He spent almost an hour talking me thru the processes so I could understand better what I was looking for. It is amazing how little I know. Here I am asking him to step in the middle of a service problem that was started by another company. To his credit he advised me to go back to the original company to make sure here isn't any questions about the job being completed without further frustration on my part. I wish I could give you all the detail in how he explained everything but I'm 74 and details sometimes details don't stay with me. I am convinced that this is the most professional man that I have ever dealt with. I wish I had known about him before but I do now! It is 5:40pm Saturday night, I am in Oakland and Mario is in Concord and he is on his way to my house to confirm what is taking place with my HVAC. Who does that these days? However once this is done Cyclone will be my company of choice. He should be yours too! I'm home alone, my husband is out of town. As Mario was packing up his gear it occurred to me how much I learned tonight. Every woman should be working with this company. I've never had someone spend so much time helping me understand what needed to be done and why and giving me the confidence to handle it. Update: following this post, recieved a call from Cyclone with an apology and an ask to write their wrong. My faith has been restored in Cyclone and I would do business with them again. Meh... Cyclone did clean the air ducts and dryer vent in my new home as promised, but the representative left behind an awful lot of debris at each vent in my home. I've had my ducts cleaned in another home and no debris was left behind, so I'm thinking this was just due to carelessness. They even left behind a cleaning tool of their own - right there in the middle if the floor. When cleaning my dryer vent almost no lent or debris came out - which, based on the cleanliness of the home when we moved in, I find hard to believe that they kept their dryer vent clean. Cyclone was one of the best quotes I received for my home, but guess you get what you pay for. read more

We had an appointment to get our chimney with a fireplace insert cleaned between 2-4 on a Saturday. Technician called at 3:50 that he was on his way. When the technician showed up, he examined the fireplace/ insert and then told us he couldn't clean it: he didn't know we had an insert. I had made it perfectly clear in the emails/text messages and phone calls that we had an insert. I know to specify that there is an insert as it is a higher fee and I expect that.
