I recommend getting a second opinion before trusting anyone, including Cyclone technicians. A few years ago, I wrote my first review after calling Cyclone to service my HVAC system. I was told that replacing one of the parts, which would cost over $600, would fix our heater. After the repair, we were advised to give it a day for the system to acclimate. However, not only did it fail to work, but the heater was also blowing cold air. Recently, we called for any other company for service again because we couldn't figure out what was wrong with the heater after believing that replacing the faulty part would solve the issue. We were informed that our HVAC system is near the end of its lifespan. The technician explained that the reason the machine was blowing cold air was that it was cooling off the temperature to prevent overheating, which could potentially trigger a fire. Why didn't Cyclone detect this earlier? During the service, the technician asked if I wanted to receive a $20 discount in exchange for writing a positive review and posting the pictures he took. Honestly, I wasn't interested in writing a review or the discount; I was just excited that my HVAC might finally be fixed. Little did I know, the final verdict was that we need to replace the entire HVAC system! Thank you, Cyclone, for not only ripping me off but also failing to deliver on your promise. Your technicians need better training!

After calling 10+ places, Cyclone had the best price. Mario is the man! I had a previous company come and performed a diagnostic test on my furnace a week prior to Mario (Cyclone Air System) and the previous company couldn't identify the issue on why it wouldn't turn on. Our ducts were very dusty, the house hadn't been cleaned in probably 15 years. We searched for a while, and found Cyclone Air Systems, which was the cheapest cleaner of air vents we could find. They came at a time that worked for us, and recommended a new air filter that would save us money and allergies in the long run. read more

Favio was very informative and was willing to answer and my crazy questions. He really does care about creating a clean and healthy home free of dust and allergies. The positive reviews on Yelp caught my eye, and I decided to try Cyclone Air Systems for myself. I really liked them. They arrived on time. They were very professional. It's clear that Mario has years of experience. They started with showing me what's inside my air duct by putting a camera in my family room duct, and it was filled with lots of debris and stuff, even filled with cheetos. I've been fighting allergies and my 10 year old too. Whenever I'd come home and turn on the heater, my allergies would get worse. I decided enough is enough, and I looked for an air duct cleaning company. I knew I didn't want Coit or some other company where there were random workers just doing this work as a job. I wanted a professional, owned business where this work was their livelihood, with a reputation built on years of business. I lived in my house for 9 years and never thought about getting my air ducts cleaned until i had my babies. Thank God i did, they were filthy, full of dust, particles from past constuction and wood chips from installation of hardwood floors from 9 years ago. I hate to think my family has been breathing that. These guys came in very professional and used hi tech equipment and used cameras to show me before and after photos. I called cyclone air systems Friday and they showed up next day they came with 2 machines one of those has a cable and a brush with vacuum and the second was a compressor air, after they clean it I saw a big amount of lint coming out from the other side. Dryer at my daughters condo was taking 2-3 times normal dry time,& a repairman said to have the dryer vent cleaned. Called Mario based on reading the reviews,& he responded quickly & set an appt for a few days later for a convenient window. On our appt day I received a call early in the time window when Mario was on the way, which I appreciated. He was timely, professional & explained what he was doing. Cyclone Cleaners did a fantastic job. Flavio was on time, and did a great job cleaning all of our air ducts, doing a very thorough chimney sweep, and replacing our dryer vent to run outside. Flavio was terrific. He arrived on time (big plus). He was very professional as he explained everything he was doing. He did a great job on the dryer vent (eww) and the duct work around the house. He cleaned the furnace and the exhaust vent in the laundry room. He put filters on the vents and replaced the filter on the furnace. He was done in less than 90 minutes. We are very happy with our nice clean ducts. Highly recommended! read more

The pictures were legit bad and concerning, but the funny thing is, the pictures he showed me were not the inside of my furnace. I had 4 other local vendors come after him and all of them showed me photos of inside my unit. Guess what? Their pics all matched each others and none matched Juan's pictures. Weird right? The other 4 local vendors inspected my furnace and all of them noticed the refurb of all the major components I had done 5 years ago. All said that no furnace replacement was indicated and my furnace was in great shape with many high functioning years left. Weird right? I intentionally never offered that info up to any vendor before the inspection as a secret test to see who would be an honest tradesman and who would not. See a pattern here folks? Juan's quotes came in at $17,500 for an electrical system (a/c and furnace) and $18,046 for a gas system (a/c and furnace), because you know...can't just replace the AC unit in his world. All other vendors (who have higher/better reviews on Yelp btw) came in between $8-10k for a new a/c unit. Again, all said no need for a new furnace. So, i'm counting my lucky stars I wasn't duped. I had noticed our dryer doesn't ventilate properly outside which of course freaked me out. I googled dryer venting and had a heart attack when I realized how bad it was. STOP THE DRYER NOW!!!!!! I'm surprised we're not dead! I had our property manager send out the "handy" people and really all we could do was use a stupid little dryer vent kit. Ugh, won't stop the steamy room when we run the dryer. Plus the fact that dryer lint is highly flammable and could potentially burn down our apartment building scared me. I didn't get the feeling he was ready to hire professionals to do the job of cleaning out the dryer, so I took matters into my own hands. Between roommates coming and going, I rang this place up this morning to get a price estimate. He said he could do it today (yay!) and could arrive between 1-4pm. Sweet. Flavio came over and showed me how he was planning on blowing out all the lint. Ha, he used some type of sock/hosiery to contain the lint coming out because otherwise, that stuff would have made a big freakin' linty mess! He recommended I switch to a spiral-wound aluminum flex hose he had on hand because the white vinyl hose we had currently attached could easily catch on fire with the heat from the dryer. I'll take it!! Once he was finished, he attached the new hose to the little venting kit and it took less than 30 minutes. Yay no more being paranoid about the dryer catching on fire! I was super happy they were able to come over last minute and clean out the dryer vent. The price I paid was nothing compared to a fire starting. Your dryer starting a fire may be the last thing you ever think about, but when you think about the consequences of spending a little cash to save your home and potentiality a life, it's worth it. We had a service agreement with a well-known Service Champion in Contra Costa County. One so popular they are always booked. Two weeks ago our former service company inspected our system, noted it was old, gave it the all clear and suggested we replace the capacitor before next summer. Well, our a/c stopped cooling this morning. Our preferred vendor told me the earliest they could come out would be 9/9 (yes, with a service contract). I told them we have guests coming this weekend (some elderly) and we needed working a/c in 100 degree heat. Nothing. I told them I was calling every HVAC company in Contra Costa County and nine days was too long. The third call I made was to Cyclone Air Systems. I described the issue. Recently had an issue with our dryer where it began so produce a horrible smell while drying clothes. After some research I found that the probable cause was an accumulation of lint in the vent system. I contacted Cyclone Air Duct for a quote in a few minutes George reached out and provided me with a quote and was quick to set up an appointment at my convenience. I received other quotes from other companies but George provided me with the best price and availability. Appointment day came and Rafael arrived at my home right at the scheduled time, not even a minute late. Rafael introduced himself and explained everything he was going to do and even showed me videos of what he cleaned. He noticed that there wasn't air coming out of the outdoor vent when the dryer was running indicating that there was a disconnect from my dryer to the vent. He went into my crawl space, found the issue, and fixed it in a timely manner. Well, we weren't sure about what to do when our wall furnace finally conked out. I called several places and searched the internet for advice and basically found out that replacing this unit would be costly and repairing it a more dubious endeavor. I've lived in my duplex for 15 years, and the dryer venting system must have been designed by someone smoking them funny cigarettes. It's up 10 feet and then a 90 degree right angle turn and out another 20 feet to the outside. The pipes have not ever vented properly and I've burned through 4 dryers in 15 years. The property manager sent out a handy man who could only pull out lint at arms length. Then they sent out Flavio from Cyclone Air Systems. I swear, this is the first person that ever really listened to my explanation of how things were working.....or not working. This is the first time the lines were ever snaked out and so much lint came out that it was frightening. This could have easily started a fire, not to mention the continued cost of running the dryer longer and longer each time. It vents well now and has been a huge relief for safety and cost concerns. About two weeks ago I called Cyclone Air and told them of a specific problem that I had with a smell in my vent system. They showed up an hour late, no big deal. The serviceman was very unprofessional and after doing some heavy lifting starting whining. He was passive aggressive and lazy and tried to leave before finishing the job and solving my problem. He tried to make me feel guilty for asking him to do the work and solve the problem. I ended up paying him twice as much as he had bid, and had to finish the job myself. He also was not interested in cleaning up the mess. I could just skipped the whole thing and just done it all myself and saved a great deal of money. I will never use this service again and I advise you that hiring this company may actually make things worse and you'll have to pay for it. When my clients ask me to solve their problems, that what I do, I don't just take the money, pretend to do something and leave. read more

Both my husband and I have always dreamt of buying a house since it has been six years that we have moved in here with our kids. We have always loved this place and the people around here. We made our dream come true and the house was really beautiful. But within a month, my second son, Eric had developed some allergies and we were not able to enjoy our plans with the new house.
