Went last week and my gf really enjoyed her meal. We received great service! I had the Sweet potato, Apple, Sausage Hash (came with 2 eggs as well) which I didn't like but I ate it all as noted by my waitress...It tasted like canned apple and canned sweet potato thrown into a pot. TERRIBLE! My gf had the Texas Meal I believe.... which was 2 eggs, your choice of meat, grits or potato, toast and a nice sized pancake all for $10. I think my meal was $10 They also have a T.V which is great so I got a chance to watch some football. I will definitely be back and try something else next time. read more

I was excited to go here since we love breakfast. Service was very good and got there before 10:00 on a Sunday so we were seated quickly. Food - not good. My wife and I decided to try CBH this morning for the first time. Knowing this place is pretty popular, I was expecting the "worse" as far as a wait time around 9am on a Saturday, but it was only about 10 minutes, and we had our table. We both had omelets which were very good. I asked for coffee, and along with the mug full our waiter brought a small carafe full of additional coffee, which was nice. Got about 5 cups out of it for $2.75, try doing that at Starbucks! It is for the above reasons this place gets four stars, see below for why it didn't get five . The only "issue" I had... I always have salsa on any kind of eggs I eat, and with this particular type of omelet that had diced jalapeños in it, I was expecting some accompanying salsa to go with it, but there was none. When I asked the waiter "Do you have any TYPE of salsa"? He said "SIDE of salsa?" then went and got a very small, not even a quarter of a cup of salsa... When I got my bill, I saw we were charged 99 cents. I have 2 issues with this: 1. If you are going to charge me for that thimble sized salsa, at least let me know up front. 2. If you are going to charge for salsa at least give your customer a small bowl full of it. read more

This is my favorite place to eat breakfast!! The food is great, good variety and always hot. The staff is very friendly too!

The food was in my opinion very good. Big portions, fried eggs not dripping in grease, flavored waffles awesome (blueberry), potatoes a little over cooked but I like them crisp and they were. There was a little wait to be seated but on a Saturday morning I can understand that is going to happen. Dining area is a little small and lacks a little personal space between you and the other patrons. Staff seemed green ,as in never waited tables before, and taking food to the wrong tables(should not happen) and a little slow on tea and soda refills. I will hit them up again to see if they got the kinks knocked out and look forward to a big breakfast and going home very full happy. read more

We've been here several times and everything has always been fine until today. I had an garden omelet which lacked allot of flavor. I had to add so much salt and it still didn't help. I also had the potatoes which were also flavorless and I felt the actual potato inside was missing. Then there was the biscuit, hard as a rock and was somewhat over baked on top. When I went to split the biscuit in half it broke apart into pieces. I asked for a replacement and when it was brought out I'm 99.9# sure it was microwaved. It was terrible! We had heard how great this place was and we've been waiting to try it out. Our first experience did not disappoint. There was a 30 minutes wait time but what good place doesn't have a wait. The service from start to finish was great. We had the porkchops and eggs which was flavorful and juicy. The chicken and waffle was not expected to taste so moist but it was and it was perfectly seasoned. The pancakes were fluffy and melted in your mouth. I wish I could give this place a better rating, but the service was horrendous. I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast, my son order chocolate chip waffles, and my mother got the Belgium waffle. The main items were good, however my eggs and potatoes were ice cold when they came out. My mother had a similar issue. Her eggs were cold and the bacon was burnt and cold. I will say the chicken fried steak and waffles were amazing, but I won't come back. I pay for service and my food being hot when I eat it. I am a mother and if I wanted cold food, I'd cook at home.. Looks and tastes like hotel food. Also if you advertise strawberry banana pancakes, most people expect the strawberries and bananas to be inside of the pancake, not just on top. IHOP does a better job. Service was good. The inside of the restaurant is kind of boring. read more

Table is waiting with silverware and an empty glass for the carafe of water that's headed your way without having to ask. Coffee drinkers also get their own carafe. The Hearty Beeakfast comes with a pancake the size of your face slathered in butter. Warm syrup is delivered to your table beforehand so there's no need to ask for more. Food was cooked to order and done perfectly. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Now I know why it's usually crowded after 10am for breakfast on the weekends. The early bird gets the worm, however. We had a breakfast place at our old house in Ohio so when we moved here we wanted a good one. Well this isn't it. The server was obviously new because he was so awkward at our table it made me uncomfortable. The food was good except the hashbrowns they were so obviously dried hashbrowns (I've worked in food service my whole life, so by dried I literally mean hard pieces of dried potato that need water added to them to make them seem like food. Think space food) they were so gross! I ordered scrambled eggs and forgot to ask for shelled eggs so i received the normal egg beaters which I hate. The waffle was good. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy and those as well you could tell were not fresh. But we did go the second week they were open donut could've been an off day. read more

This place is packed, with parking in the street and all over the centres lot. I downgraded because the food I had - cornbread with eggs - was dry and greasy, the hash browns were bland. They have delicious breakfast options. Some of my favorite menu items are the Benedict Florentine and the Greek Skillet. My husband likes their biscuits and gravy, their pork chop breakfast and pancakes.Expect a long wait to be seated. There is always a line outside the door. The only negative comment is that their water has a bad chlorine taste, and so does the coffee. They should really consider getting a water filtration system and a better brewed coffee. read more

I went this morning for breakfast wth a friend . It is kind like a country cafe. We got a table right away and our server was on cue with coffee and taking our order.(I am a Cook) and know how long takes to prepare breakfast and it took almost 25 minutes to bring to us . That is too long and I blame the cook for that. The food was very good and large portions. The service was on time but needs help in the kitchen. 4 stars out of 5 , only for the time we waited. Was looking to try a new restaurant for breakfast. Read the reviews here so my husband and I decided to try it out. Sorry but we were not impressed. As soon as we walked in we were greeted. The guy who greeted us asked a tall blonde woman "where should I put them " ? She coldly responded " I dont know " and walked away. Im like ok that was rude. Took a while before our waiter came to take our order. Food was not all that. Potatoes were dry and salty. My husband ordered the mexican skillet but was served in a dish . Needless to say , because of the service , not so much the food , we wont be coming back. Customer service is everything and Im sorry but they lack in that dept. If you ever eat at cypress breakfast house, check your credit card/bank statements!!! They like to overcharge your card and then tell you that it's your bank's fault. Um, HELLO, the bank only processes what you submit to them! And they will NOT correct the issue! Left me standing there like an idiot and never apologized or anything...just kept stating it wasnt there fault. My advice, dont eat here! read more

The only thing I'll say about this place is if you are a BREAKFAST house and you use instant hollandaise sauce forget it. The manager said they made their own tomato hollandaise sauce but not the regular sauce? Breakfast burrito was barely warm. Staff was friendly. Parking is horrible but the food and service were great. We went during the week so it wasn't as packed but it was still pretty busy.

We decided to try this place after finding out there was a 40 minute wait at Crackel Barrel. We came on Sunday, and there was a 20 minute wait here, but they turned over tables pretty quickly. The service was excellent, but the food not so much. It's definitely better than Dennys or IHOP, but I had higher expectations given the previous reviews and the food presentation. The food being delivered to the tables looked amazing! My Mediterranean omelet was good but wouldn't order it again. The biscuits are big but not fresh (or homemade tasting). The grits were awful no matter how you doctored them up. The pancakes were just ok, and the eggs were prepared well. Overall, 2 of us in our party felt that the food was good. My hubby said his meal was excellent and very tasty. He had the Mexican burrito. He can eat a lot but even he couldn't finish his meal. Would we come again? Yes, but Crackel barrel on 290 and mueshke would be our preferred option. read more
