I needed to get some work done plus I needed some breakfast. I came across this spot on Yelp so I decided to check it out. I ordered the chorizo burrito with the hash browns and some coffee. I wasn't impressed by the burrito but I kind of regretted getting it the minute I ordered it-- it was decent and definitely huge! I would get this to share with another person. The hash browns though we're delicious. The menu though had a lot of good options I'm still wondering why I decided to get a burrito. The place is super chill and laid back. You order at the counter and you pick your own place to sit which I really liked. The staff was also very friendly. My fav part is I could work somewhere and get a hearty breakfast. In April, I insisted we go here and what a disappointment. My sister hadn't been. She ordered and omelette with no tomatoes, she got a cold omeletee with loaded TOMATOES. Just went this morning with my girlfriend who is a POC and we had terrible service. When we walked in everybody at the tables was staring at us. They didn't give us any space to walk through. The lady helping us was nice and helpful. We then sat down after ordering one meal to split, and realized 35 minutes later other people were getting their orders who ordered after us. After saying something to the server who again ignored us and was rude, we finally got our 2 pancakes, 2 slices of bacon and hashbrowns 40 minutes after we ordered. For that meal, a juice and a blended drink plus tip was $30. Absolutely not worth it, food wasn't great. The pancakes tasted from a box and not warm and the hasbrowns were also not warm. The bacon was good and thick. My girlfriend and I ended up leaving not finishing our food because it was that bad. We just picked up some breakfast for the first time from here. The veggie omelet was amazing and very healthy tasting. The toast was perfectly toasted and buttered. The potatoes were the best crispy breakfast potatoes I've ever had. But the real show stopper-- the granola on the fruit and yogurt parfait. It is homemade and you can tell. It melts in your mouth. The fruit that came with the parfait was freshly cut and tasted super fresh. It is obvious that quality is key here. When we walked in to pick up our food we decided to get some coffee. I used to be a huge fan of Tru Bru (same shopping center) until their staff's rude attitude towards customers, large crowds, expensive small food portions, broken a/c, and non responsive WiFi became the norm. Unprofessional and Disrespectful. Now I absolutely loved this place. I've been coming here for a while, and you can tell from my previous review its fantastic here, but the level of professionalism here is absolutely abysmal. For the past couple times that my family and I have come here, the service and the professionalism shown by the cashiers has been utterly disrespectful. Today I had been waiting in line for 25 minutes, waiting actually in the front of the line, but the two cashiers/baristas were talking to one of their "customers" on the side. I understand if they were busy, and by no means did I mean to overhear but I will tell you it wasn't about coffee or the shop. After being ignored for too long, I walked out. All I wanted was a small coffee to go but that was just absolutely horrific and utterly distasteful. I really enjoy this placed, but never again. The staff is WAY too unprofessional. When you have a line of five people, you don't both go to the side to talk, at least one of you guys needs to take orders at least. So unprofessional. read more

After browsing Yelp for a place to have breakfast with my family in effort to spend some quality time for Easter, I came across Cyrano's. Solely based on the reviews, we were convinced. We walked up to the register and placed our order: lox, egg whites, some bacon, and coffee. I thought we timed it perfectly because we just missed a rush. Boy, was I wrong! There were multiple people who ordered their food after us, yet received their food way before we received our order. It was not until we notified the waiter about our missing order and all they said was that the chef makes the food in order they are taken. This absolutely baffled me! There must have been some time shift or some phenomena that altered reality. Assuming that did not occur, it didn't make any sense we did not receive our order before the people who ordered after us at the register. The waiter could have at least come up with a better rationalization or at least demonstrate some semblance of sincerity that we waited almost an hour for lox, egg whites, some bacon and coffee. The service was horrible and the only reason this place even received a single star from my family is because I am forced by Yelp. Mediocre food combined with, for a lack of a better term, shitty service, I can assure you I will not be returning. However, if you enjoy poor service and decent food, this is your spot! read more

Recently discovered this place and have tried it twice for breakfast. The breakfast burrito and Jimbo bagel sandwich were both really tasty! I recommend getting your food to go and enjoying it somewhere else. On the weekend, this place seems to be packed with egotistical a-holes who will probably ruin the experience for you (unless you are one of them). There is a nice outside back patio but it needs a good cleaning. We came here for a Sunday lunch after a morning at the park. Place was not packed (3 orders in before ours) but it took 25 minutes for us to get our food. Seemed like they cooked only one order at a time. I'd hate to see what this place is like when it's packed. Food was decent, nothing special. My sandwich was kinda small for the price and the wife's "panini" was not what I've come to expect a panini to be. It was really just a sandwich on grilled bread. Salt and pepper chips were tasty. Service was good enough for us (outside of the slow food), though I did watch as one of the gals tell a customer (in an annoyed tone) that they would bring the order out to them and to take the number to the table. Cyranos is a cute cafe that's perfect for Sunday brunch. The food is always clean, simple and tasty. My go-to breakfast is the quesadilla with scrambled eggs, cheese, and sausage. The dish is accompanied with sour cream and an excellent salsa that has the right amount of kick! Cyanos also has yummy coffees and lattes. Today I had the pumpkin spice latte which is far better than Starbucks. My only compliant is that they messed up my parents coffee order 2 times today! That was a little irritating. This one star is for the food, which is the only thing that deserved a star. It was absolutely wonderful. I had the banana nut buttermilk pancakes and a side of the chicken Apple sausage. I have to say it was delicious. My boyfriend had two eggs, hash-brown, sausage and a side of bacon. He said it was very good. The reason why we gave this delicious food spot one star: The waiter was an a*****e!!! We didn't have ketchup at our table so we asked for some, he said he will get it for us but didn't seem to happy about it ok that's number one, number two.. The food took about 30 minutes to get to us. Mind you, this is not a sit down. When the food got to us, my boyfriend was missing the side of bacon. Number three, we told the waiter the bacon was missing, he said ok I'll get it and obviously was displeased. When he brought the bacon, he threw the plate on the table and walked off. We said thank you after he was being rude and he continued to walk, didn't look over at us and said your welcome with an attitude. I don't know if this waiter was having a bad Sunday morning but I can give a sh** if he's having a bad morning. I'm a polite customer and expect the waiter/ waitress to be polite as well. I've been here multiple times and it's a great experience everytime. I've tried the french toast and the California burrito. The French toast was delicious and a very large portion. I shared the French toast with my sister and we were both stuffed. I loved the cinnamon and the fruit was a very nice complement. The California burrito is my go to order. It has eggs, avocado, tomato, cheese and hash browns (I have mine without bacon bits). The burrito is always toasted so the tortilla is nice and warm and toasty. Also the salsa that comes with the burrito is delicious!! I always ask for extra salsa on the side because it's addicting. The burrito is also generously portioned. I always eat half and save the other half for lunch or dinner. The avocados are always bright green and fresh and the burrito doesn't leave you feeling heavy. So far the coffee I've tried here is good as well. I have only tried the blended mocha which is basically like a frap. It was a good solid drink. It was sweet and had a nice chocolatey taste. My go-to is the iced coffee. It is strong and so refreshing. It makes starbuck's ice coffee taste like watered down instant coffee. The ambiance is exactly what I look for in a cafe. It feels very home-y with trendy and modern furnishing. I love the inspirational signs and the layout of the cafe. They also have free wiifii which is a huge plus. You've gotta love this spot. The very best "blended mocha" in Orange. I've been coming here for years (literally) with my bicycling buddies. The owner is a hard core mountain biker and never misses an opportunity to give us "roadies" a hard time. But he's just as willing to talk about the best bike routes around or even lend you a pump if you need to fix a flat. Cyrano's is a tucked in at the back of the center, away from the road. But, it's well worth the stop. We went a little late, when they were almost closing. Around 1:00 pm. They are all very friendly and helpful. I loved the atmosphere inside, cozy. We had our dog with us, so had to sit outside. It was a little dirty, but I think that is probably because it was the end of the day. It was a little un-kept, inside too... But I didn't think too much, as - the food was delicious! We both got breakfast burritos, and as all the other reviews mentioned- lots of food! I could have taken half home, but ended up eating it all! Mixed Review: Thank god this place is under new ownership! The food and coffee is sooo much better now. The weekend brunch is very good. The service, too. The woman who owns the place seems unfriendly but the girl who works the counter on weekend mornings (maybe her daughter?) is so sweet and adorable. My only real gripe is that my husband and I came here for wine one night and it was pretty terrible. The kid working the desk didn't know anything about the wine. My red wine tasted like vinegar and when I inquired about the shelf life, he said it had been left there open for over 9 days -WHAT??! Why did he serve me bad wine? Do these people really not understand that wine oxidizes and goes sour very quickly? And the selection was pretty terrible. I suggest hiring a wine consultant to help with the wine list and etiquette if the cafe is going to have a dedicated "Friday Wine Night". I guess you can't expect much by the way of wine culture (or any culture for that matter) in Orange County. But try the Huevos Rancheros and an Americano - excellent! read more
