I got the Grilled Shrimp salad. I loved the flavors, however the salad was lacking in both shrimp and the amount of the Green goddess dressing. My sister got the gluten free pepperoni pizza and that was pretty tasty. My mom got the salad sampler and our favorite was their classic pasta salad with the candied almonds, chicken and cranberries. You can't go wrong getting that salad. However the mozzarella salad was not our favorite. Just go for their signature pasta salad! read more

I ordered a serving of butternut squash ravioli on a Saturday night upon the recommendation of my mother in law who raves about it. I placed my order for myself and other guests and was told to pick up in 30 min. I sent my daughter to pick up and about 2 minutes from pick up time, they called me stating they were out of the ravioli and could I choose something else. Hmmm K. I Am a vegetarian and options are scarce . I told them to give me a penne with a tomato cream sauce and lots of basil . The pasta was disgusting! I love pasta and I love al dente pasta but will eat anything if hungry. Pasta - beyond overcooked - shamefully overcooked,not edible. Sauce- metallic Basil- I counted 3 sprigs. Whomever the chef was really dropped the ball that night. The container went in the garbage and I ate bread and cheese - Bye Bye $17 . I never write review, I believe it is my first. I stopped in to get a very simple to go order, and it wasn't even busy. I order a pizza and pasta. After a half hour I asked could you please tell me where my order is? Remember, not busy! They lost my pasta order where.... who knows! And the pizza was cold! The take out girl clearly had know idea much les the 2 cooks in the back! Just-ok. 1st time I stopped in for dinner I made the mistake of ordering from a sandwich from the deli case. Turkey sandwich with avocado. The turkey was almost in-edible dry and you could tell it had been there all day because the avocado was brown and mush. Huge turn off. 2nd time was a better experience, I tried the Salad Sampler, you get to pick 3 salads from the case. The wild rice and crasins were really great. the price is up there and in my experiences it has not stood up to the cost. People I have gone with have enjoyed the pasta and hot pressed sandwiches, so maybe I should stop ordering out of the deli case. read more

Went in Tuesday for their "Wine and Dine" promotion, two salads, two pastas and unlimited house wine for $32. Service gets 5 stars, food was prompt and our wine glasses were never empty for more than a few minutes. I got a Caesar Salad and Fettuccine with Shrimp and Pistachio Pesto, she got the House Salad and the Spicy Linguine with Calamari. Salads were pretty standard, pastas were good but not great. Good portions all around; Fettuccine was cooked well and had plenty of tiny shrimp, though pistachio flavor was mostly absent and the whole dish was quite heavy handed with the olive oil. Linguine had great flavor and heat but the calamari gets lost and again too heavy with the oil. Overall average, will definitely be back to try other dishes and to check out lunch. read more

WOW. I love this place. From the food, seating, Sunday kids deal, to the employees, and gelato this place is amazing. The Mac and Cheese tastes like dinner on thanksgiving. The Ceaser salad makes my heart beat out of my chest, employees are always there to refill your glass, get more bread or answer any questions or concerns you have as soon as you call them over. Came here with some friends before a movie recently. Just OK. Salads were bland, although large portions -- reasonable value for the price, but IMHO quality didn't approach (just as an example) Cafe Latte in St. Paul. Entrees, bottle of wine, and price of other items struck me as expensive for a cafeteria-style chain. Convenient, but you can do better and without going far. read more

i just love it here. the food is always good, always reasonably priced (9.95 for a salad and soup...) and you know what you're getting in to. I usually go with either the three salad sampler (chicken gorgonzola, white bean and artichoke and the little pasta one with ham and green peas) or the half soup (tuscan chicken...best thing on the menu) and salad. i've also had their pizzas- which are fabulous. Probably the worst restaurant experience ever. Ordering take-out, the cashier was taking care of the previous customers, then just walked away after dealing with them. Someone eventually came to the register to take my order. Had a feeling that it would be a long wait, pulled a chair out at a table to sit down. As I did, an employee gruffly told me the he needed that table and that I could sit in another area (he later brought the table back as it wasn't needed). The time was about 40 minutes for a take-out sandwich order which is crazy. The "toasted" sandwiches were black. The entire staff seemed very nonchalant about falling so behind in orders. I sent my concerns to D'Amico through their website, had to fill out a form, so I don't have that email. I was excited to try this place. Was bummed with my meal. Ordered chicken sandwich, a brownie, and a drink. $14 and change. I was in the area doing some shopping and wanted to grab some quick lunch and do a little studying. I walked past a few of the restaurants in the area and they all looked very crowded, so I decided to check out D'amico. I was pleasently surprised that even though there was a bit of a line to order a sandwhich the service was very prompt. One of my momma's favorite spots, D'Amico has a delightful chicken parmigiana sandwich and really a rather extensive menu for what seems to be a pretty small place. Plenty of seating on the inside, however, and a great option for taking food to go, whether it's made to order or premade and refridgerated. Great location near 50th and France as well. read more

We went at 700 on a Tuesday and it took over an hour with ordering and waiting for our food to come out! All we ordered was a kids pepperoni pizza and a lasagna. We also had a sandwich that we got right away, paid $9 for and the avocado was brown. I could have made a better sandwich at home!! read more

BAD NITE At D AMICO.... Friday night was a bad visit for us at D'Amico. 6 friends dining together, I ordered first, and sat down, only to discover a big lipstick smudge on my wine glass. So, I had to return to counter, cut thru the line and ask for a new glass. Wehen entire group was seated, the entrees began to arrive for our table. After all were served, Mine was not. Seemed odd, since I ordered first. Finally, Walked up to counter, again, and was told, "o yours is sitting right here." Well, how long was it sitting there, getting cold?? Lastly, The roving server wasn't the greatest with refills on our wine. Ok, they were busy, but... when he finally came, I asked if he'd bring me a doggy bag and he agreed. We waited another 15 min., finishing our wine, etc. we are now ready to go, and yet no doggie box. For the THIRD time, gotta go back up to the counter. Ugh. Very disappointing! I almost gave this review ONE STAR, but decided to use two stars, because on average, their service is better than this. Overall, a very disappointing dinner experience here. read more

Patty M. summed D'Amico's up perfectly. It's not fancy, but solidly good. The decor is cute with a crisp black and white theme, dotted with kitschy displays of olive oils, faux fruits and painted dishes. The food is all very good, and changes little from visit to visit. My personal favorite is the Tuscan Pot Roast; the meat is so tender it can be cut with the side of a fork and the potatoes and carrots it's served with are solid, though not overly flavorful. I also think the portion sizes are perfect. I left feeling full but certainly not overstuffed. D'Amico's is also very family-friendly (We don't have children ourselves, but there were many kiddos around and a decent menu for little people to boot). Finally, I think the prices at D'Amico's are fair and reasonable. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to D'Amico's, but I'd certainly visit if presented with the opportunity. read more

It's a very good looking space, and the outdoor seating is great when the weather is right. The service is very friendly, but slow. The food is uneven, and never spectacular. The tomato sauce is not homemade so the pastas are just OK, the salads are over dressed and the pizzas are drowning in parmesan cheese. If you pick the right sandwich, you'll be satisfied. Went there for lunch today (first time at this location due to a recent job switch). I tried the Braised Beef and Buffalo Mozzerella Ravioli, which was WONDERFUL. The service was very good. I stopped by at lunch time today to use up a balance I had on a gift card. I ordered the "large"portion of the chicken pasta salad. It wasn't a cup and a half and it was $10. It had hardly any chicken in it so when I got it home I added some Costco chicken I happened to have hand and some spinach. It really wasn't enough for two people and the flavor wasn't that good. Food was delicious, fresh, delivered on time and with plates, napkins & utensils. Was all surprisingly gourmet. D'Amico and Sons (in Edina) has a very relaxed atmosphere and the same quality of food as the other nicer versions. In this particular location, you come to the front of the restaurant and place an order, which is then delivered to your table when ready. Great place for lunch and dinner. In regards to their food... I've never had appetizers or salads, not because they are not good but because of their pasta and my pasta problem. When I come here I always fall to my weakness for pasta (why waste precious stomach space with anything else...) I've tried all of them, including the risotto, and recommend each and everyone. If you are into pizza, I recommend the Neapolitan. If you want something to take, think of their sandwiches, they are tasty and well seized. Never done the brunch, I guess I should If you like wine, D&S has a great offer: buy one glass and they'll refill it as necessary (who can beat it?) I've always drunk the red one and it's been good. The also have sodas and a variety of beers. Love D'amico's. The prices, fast-casual style, and take-out and delivery options are coupled with food that's nice-restaurant-quality. So it's great if you're feeling like really good Italian food, but don't want to spend a lot of money, or you wanna be able to bring your kids. The only thing is that it can get pretty noisy if you go to eat there for dinner during the week on the early side. read more
