    Meatball sub
    Beachy K.

Something has changed here. It used to be amazing. The pizza isn't as good. We usually get the eggplant sub but they were out, so we got meatball. Idk... it wasn't that good. The sauce is bitter and tastes raw, the cheese is rubbery and seems lower quality. The crust isn't as good as it used to be. I wonder if this place has changed hands. Still ok but not as good as it was. Definitely different.

My husband and I found our way to D'amore's Famous Pizza after a beach day in Malibu and after recently finishing Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars show. We are big pizza fans and have pretty pretty high expectations as we are still on the hunt for some great New York style pizza here in SoCal. We weren't really sure how high to set the bar with this place, but we were intrigued enough to give them a try. This shop in particular is extremely small and is really made for ordering, however, there are plenty of tables outside that are shared by the other businesses for patrons to enjoy their food. Service was efficient and helpful. The staff were able to get our slices out quickly and even brought out our slices to us once they were done being prepared/warmed up. In terms of the food, we were happy! My husband may have been the biggest doubter, but he was extremely pleased with our food stating the pizza was probably one of the closest to NY style he's had here in SoCal. As briefly noted above, this location of D'amore's Famous Pizza is an intimate space on the first floor of the shopping center. There is also a Pavillion's grocery store nearly adjacent to the shopping center. There was plenty of free parking shared among the businesses. Our order consisted of: - 2 Cheese slices - 1 Hawaiian slice - 1 Combination slice - an order of garlic knots. Loved the balance of sauce to cheese ratio. Loved their sauce flavor even more. Ingredients tasted fresh and of good quality. The crust was thin and crispy on the bottom, just the way we love it. The garlic knots were a good, warm, soft texture. I wouldn't classify them as east coast style, but they were very tasty! We had a really good first experience and are looking forward to eating in at one of their larger locations in the future.

Really Good. We got a Great Margarita Pizza (Basil and Tomato) and Pepperoni Pizza and we took to the Beach ..Yummm

If you're an east coast transplant, (NY metro especially) you need to check this place out. Thing crust pizza that rivals the best pizza back east. Ingredients are fantastic and the crust has enough crunch to be folder and not fall apart. My only minor complain is there was not internet or Wi-Fi and I couldn't use my special. Other than that this place is amazing!

D'Amore's Famous Pizza in Carbon Beach is irresistible. When I pop in here, I tend to order additional for togo. I can never decide on just one pizza flavor, so I get a few slices of sorts and I love their baked ziti with eggplant...so good! This pizza shop is in a strip mall on PCH. This strip mall and many others are owned by a close friend of mine. And that's how I learned about this pizza place. Right across from the ocean. So looking out, you do hear the roar of the vehicles :( Nonetheless, still amaze balls view while snacking on pizza :) a better vantage point view is if you take the elevator to the rooftop where there are several tables and chairs to sit outdoor, eat drink and enjoy the PACIFIC ocean views. Like some other places in Malibu, this particular spot does NOT offer WIFI and even if you have cellular internet, reception is poor and patchy, which is why you can't check in. I tried many ways to correct that manually, and can't. The owners of all businesses and this pizza place should offer wifi!. Parking is free in the lot if it's not busy, otherwise park on the long stretch of PCH. My bianco pizza needs a bite...recommend! The staff here are very nice and helpful. Par

Hands down, one of the best tasting pizzas I've ever had! 5 stars for the pizza! Huge thank you to my dear friend for introducing me to this place :). I've had pizza from various popular pizza places in NY and I can attest that D' amores pizza is comparably delicious, if not better! I ordered the cheese pizza (NY style with a deliciously thin crust), a Caesar salad, and I took bites of my friend's calzone. The pizza had the perfect amount of cheese and texture of the crust was perfect, as well! The calzone was decently good, not the best I've had; I definitely preferred the pizza above all! Some extra info: - Small parking lot right in front of the restaurant. - Outdoor public seating only. - No Wi-Fi/internet. - No complimentary cups of water. - No soup on the menu at this location.

Really loved the pizza here. Dave Portnoy would give it above a 9. The crust was perfect. Crunch with every bite. Perfect sauce. Good cheese pull. No flop. Thin. Not greasy. Very healthy. They also have gluten free options if you need. Celebrities go here. I see why. Joe the owner is an all time American man from Boston and knows what he's doing.

Huge slices match the big flavors. One of the best pizzas hands down (tried their signature pizza as well as cheese) but it's on the pricier side ($41++ for a whole pizza and 2 cans of soda). Perhaps it has to do with overhead as this branch is situated in a charming plaza in Malibu. Nevertheless I'm a fan now and I'm coming back to try more.

This place is a little overpriced but considering the location, it's expected. The pizza was ok, but not the best. The slices are large and there was a Yelp reward worth redeeming. In covid times, there's usually a bit of a wait, FYI.

But an Italian style restaurant with perhaps the most UNINSPIRED spaghetti and meatball entree you won't find anywhere outside a can of Chef Boyardee! My gosh, I guess I forget every couple years... and get a hankering for a good, comfort pasta exactly like a spaghetti and meatball... I come here and... blah. Some spaghetti with some kind of incredibly BLAND flavorless tomato sauce/paste with less flavor than the cheapest over the counter spaghetti sauce you'll ever taste. Sprinkle a few flecks of greenery on the bowl, 2 "kinda pleasant" but really boring beef meatballs? And voila... an uninspired spaghetti that maybe could challenge a 7th grade home economics class. Maybe. And all for the premium price tag of $24. Come ahhhhhn, Spruzzo. I SO wanna put you into heavy rotation, with perhaps what should be THE #1 go-to entree of anyplace remotely Italian. But this offering!? It's an insult to any palate. Spazzatura. Generally, it's a nice waitstaff here (although, last night-- a late, slow Monday night... played out very sluggish!) and the atmosphere is generally inviting too. But I, once again, left very unhappy, even letting my server know (and the server agreed!) ... with only the warm bread being the ONLY satisfying part of my meal. PLEASE Spruzzo, change the recipe. Chef Boyardee left the building in 1965.
