Our outgoing plane was delayed by a half hour so we decided to grab a sandwich at Bradley that was consumed an hour later on the plane. Big mistake, the grilled chicken No 9 did not fare well after cooling. Our mistake, not theirs. Given the opportunity for a replay, we would consume it while still hot.

Definitely a very convenient sandwich/salad spot at the airport. We did not have the time to go and sit down at the restaurant in the airport so we decided to grab a quick bite and this place filled in perfectly. I did not want to grab a sandwich so I went with the Greek Steak salad and was very pleased with it. The staff was quick and efficient and the turnaround time was about 5-6 mi items from the time I ordered til I got my meal. The salad was a huge portion, plenty of steak on the top, peppers, tomatoes and cucumber. If you are in a hurry, this place can get you in and out.

I had no problems with my order of Lobster Salad and it taste just fine. BUT and this is big BUT every body else ahead and behind me was waiting from what I heard was close to 20 mins. They gave the lady's order I was sitting with to someone else. I finished eating my salad and she was still there and she got there Before me. This is in the Bradley Intl Airport at Hartford CT where people are trying to catch a flight and not once did I hear them give a heads up how long their order will take. I did notice a customer say anything cooked like sandwiches took time as opposed to say a salad. But that was a customer saying that out load- not the crew. At one point there was maybe close to dozen people waiting.

My first time at the airport eating here was great, my second experience not so good ! The staff are rude, bad customer service! Never again !

Its so rare to find a D'Angelos still open so naturally when I spotted this in the Hartford Airport I was extremely excited! It is just to the left of security. I got a #9 which is essentially a steak and cheese with all the fixings such as mushroom, onions and peppers. I got a large so I could eat half then and save the other half for later. The bread was soft and delicious. It had the perfect amount of cheese. All my coworkers were jealous that they hadn't got one because they had no idea how good it would be!

Large southwest chicken bowl

I stopped by here a couple of Fridays ago with my coworker for lunch. Since D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches is located in an airport, there isn't too much to say about. It amounts to a food stand where you can order you food, watch it be cooked on a flattop and then assembled before your number is called to pick it up. Their slogan which is plastered around the restaurant is a somewhat amusing "grillelujah". On this day I decided to order the large southwest chicken grain bowl. There were three people working the front of the house and at least two more in the back. They were busy though and in somewhat of a disarray or so it seemed which made it so that our meals took about 10 minutes each to be made. It was bad enough that some of the people in front of me asked about their food and everyone got a generic shout about how "the chicken takes longer to cook than the steak". In the end the timing was merely a slight inconvenience to me since I had plenty of time to waste. Whenever I finally opened my dish I was pleased to see that it looked quite good. The menu describes the bowl as grilled chicken & onions, charred corn, black bean & pepper salad, bell peppers, pickled jalapenos and cilantro with a smoky chipotle sauce and a drizzle of ranch dressing all on top of grains consisting of quinoa, ulikan red rice, red jasmine rice, baby lentils and long-grain rice. The flavor of the bowl ended up being decent enough and everything about it was cooked properly. I would have maybe liked a little more taste to the bowl and possibly more of a better other ingredients to grains ratio. The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. While the wait for our food seemed long, especially for an airport, the food itself was decent enough and I would be interested in trying one of their sandwiches.

D'Angelo is located inside of Bradley International Airport - post security. Ordered the Steak and Cheese bowl - basically their steak and cheese over lettuce and such. Easy to way to eliminate the carbs. The steak was kind of stringy and chewy - so it was hard to chew and eat. Not very satisfying. There is not much in the way of seating here - so we took our food to our gate and sat and ate at the gate.

"Hot" Italian grinder

I wanted a somewhat healthy option prior to my flight so I opted for a sandwich from D'Angelo's. I wish I had just gone for McDonald's - this was a terrible sandwich and not worth the price. I asked for a hot Italian grinder and was given a sandwich with toasted bread and lukewarm meat. To be fair the bread was okay, but it could have been much better. The meat was also pretty low quality in my opinion. I would highly suggest skipping this and choosing one of the other options for a quick meal.

I must admit I was pleasantly surprised how good the sandwiches are here. The staff working the afternoon of 6/20/14 was exceptional, very friendly and they made a great toasted Italian Sub exactly how I ordered it. You can expect to wait a few minutes while your order is prepared, they will call the number printed on your receipt when it's ready. They are located left of the main security checkpoint if you go right you will run into the food court and miss out on a great food option definitely worth back tracking even if you're flying out of gates 1 - 12.

All mayo

When I was flying out of Hartford, I stopped by D'Angelo to pick up a lobster roll as my last meal in New England. Sadly, this lobster roll was not nearly as good as the other lobster rolls that I had in Connecticut. First of all, it was the mayo-drenched cold lobster salad lobster roll. It was also tiny (I literally finished it in 5 minutes - maybe 6 bites). The lobster was in tiny pieces, which is one of my biggest pet peeves. And the worst part is that it was very salty and left me very thirsty during my entire flight. The thing cost about $15 too. Yeah, I know, it's airport food, what can I expect? The service was really bad too. The cashier was unfriendly and was arguing loudly with other staff members. So unprofessional. +1 star for serving a lobster roll to me at 7/8 AM. +1 more star because the actual roll was tasty.

Lobster roll after one full bite. Not too bad. Awful restaurant staff though.

Grabbed a lobster roll, chips, and drink on the way to my departure flight at Gate 30. I've grabbed a lobster roll from this same locatiom in the past and remember it being much better. The three guys working the restaurant definitely did not want to be there. Awful customer service and they didn't know their own menu. My lobster roll was hastily made and my co worker asked for quinoa instead of rice in his bbq chicken bowl and they had no idea what quinoa was, even though it was on the menu. It's too bad. The lobster roll was surprisingly decent, even not exceptionally fresh being pulled after being refrigerated for awhile.

Good service. Crap coffee. Food is meh. Not good or bad, skip it and hit one of the three dunkins in the airport.

I was in a hurry to catch my flight, but they were quick to get my order and the entire stop took less than 10mins. Saved it for my flight , and I felt like this small mom and pop sandwich shop made a gourmet experience for me on my flight. I will stop again when I'm coming through Bradley Airport. Cheers!

On April 11, I rushed my family off the plane in order to get to these guys to grab a quick-but-tasty dinner before embarking on the remaining two hours of our long day of travel back to Westport. We arrived at 7:30 PM, 30 minutes before closing. Unfortunately, rather than having great pizza, great fried chicken, and an amazing grinder, we were instead served what felt more like the food that comes off of a gas station countertop diner than it did a restaurant that has WOW'd me in the past with they're fantastic food and friendly service. The greeting we received when we walked in; even though it was 30 minutes before closing, was less than enthusiastic to see us... it was clear right off the bat that everybody behind the counter was far more concerned about having their key in the front door at 7:59 then they were delivering great food and service. The grinder was OK. The fried chicken was pliable, but a couple of the pieces we ordered were dried out and shriveled up from sitting too long. The slices of pizza that we ordered, the guy didn't even bother, warming them up. Just pulled them out of the pizza slice case and threw them into a box... either that or if he did attempt to warm them up, they must've already turned the ovens off, and they threw it into a cold oven. A word of advice for the management of this restaurant, if you want to be out the door by 8 PM, close your restaurant at 7 PM so nobody comes in and bothers you all while you're trying to clean. To be fair, if you're thinking about this restaurant as a great stop for lunch, I would still recommend it as the food is ordinarily pretty good (and fresh at that time ) I've eaten here several times and I've never been disappointed.
