Degg West is a diner in Norfolk serving your typical breakfast and lunch items. I visited on a Saturday for lunch and this place was packed! I ended up sitting at one of the bar seats and watched as several large parties continued to put their name on the hour long waiting list. The service is extremely friendly but you can tell that they are overwhelmed with the amount of staff they have. I ordered the steak breakfast burrito and it was not something I would recommend, I should have stuck with pancakes because those looked good. The coffee was good too. No beer at this location but they do have mimosas and breakfast cocktails. Not my favorite brunch spot in Norfolk but based on the business they received I know their food can't be terrible. This place also has a cash incentive policy!

We have been coming here for years. We really enjoyed the fresh squeezed juices. Today I ordered the steak and egg breakfast burrito which was nice although I think the potatoes in it overpowered the rest of the contents. If you like fresh squeezed juices this is the place for you.

I used to frequent this place when I worked near there years ago. I was stoked to see that they were still there now that I'm working back in the area. So far I've been 3 times for lunch and neither time has disappointed. It's a small spot and every time I've been every table has been taken. There is a large bar area that always seemed to have chairs available. They are not opened on Mondays and Tuesdays which I learned the hard way. Other than that, no complaints here! Next time I will try their breakfast.

Soooooooo glad this place made it through the last year! They are open for indoor, to go, and delivery options with Door Dash! Quick not so much...AND THAT'S EXCELLENT! Not that service is slow because it's not but When I need quick I hit the drive thru. When I'm in the mood for fresh cracked eggs and made to order EVERYTHING this is my breakfast spot! We haven't tried lunch expect for the avacado bacon melt which was AMAZING. Grits are awesome, biscuits and gravy are to die for, avacado toast you need to try! Best value I think is the build your own sandwich. $5.50 gets choice of a bread, biscuit or bagel/cheese/meat/&egg. And it's huge as pictured. Haven't tried the juice yet but it's legit made in house. They even have a fancy machine for the orange juice! Try this place!

Tried something new and I'm in love! The Double Yolker - a nice big heap of crispy shredded hash browns, sautéed in a perfect mixture of onions, peppers, sausage, bacon and cheddar cheese topped with two gorgeous sunny side-up eggs, cooked how you like. Definitely the most filling dish I've had so far and for only $10...paired with a glass of their fresh, in-house-squeezed orange juice, I had myself a very filling, pleasant breakfast for $13.

Me and my wife saw this place across the street from another business a while back and wanted to try it out. We saw that it looked pretty packed and were excited to see what they had to offer. Once we arrived to D'egg the parking was good, it had its own private parking area and it was right off the corner of the road. Once we arrived inside the establishment we were greeted and then seated with the menu's. My wife ordered The Tri-Tip and Eggs with coffee and I ordered the D'Feast which came with 2 pancakes, 3 eggs, choice of meat (which I got the corn beef hash) and a side (which I got the hash browns). I also ordered fresh orange juice and we both received water as well. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and it had that diner feel and look to it and the cleanliness was good. You could tell that the business was near a military base due to the fact that there was numerous military personnel there (including us). The employees were very nice and we received our food in a good amount of time. When we got our food the presentation was nice and the food was hot and at a good temperature. My wife liked her meal and the same went for my meal as well. Everything tasted great and there was really no complaints to give except that the hash browns were a little soggy, but I'm sure you could order them more crispy if need be. So our over all experience was good and so was the food. If you are in the mood for some good breakfast dishes than this place is as good as any. Thank you so much for the food and service D'egg.

Found this place by accident. Hard to see the sign from the street, but locals know this place. Opened from 07:30 to 2:30 only, this little dinner style restaurant is good for family or out of town guests. I had the d'Feast breakfast and overall it was good. Eggs -9/10 Sourdough toast - 7/10 Hash browns - 6/10 Bacon - 6/10 Pancakes - 8/10 Service was good plenty of staff on site I counted at least 6 employees. I showed up around 09:00 on Sunday and there was 3 tables opened, by the time I left there were people waiting to be seated. Bathroom were spacious but needed to be cleaned: Bathrooms 7/10 Service 8/10 Atmosphere 9/10 They do have a policy posted in two places, one on the front door and a very small few words on bottom of menu stating prices on menu are for CASH prices only. Anyone paying with a credit card will have to pay additional fees. To me this is inconceivable on 2022. Yes we saw this 30 years ago, but I haven't seen it since, restaurants charging customers for credit card fees.

I've been here many times now. My latest experience is similar to the many others. Food was prompt, taste good, and the the establishment was tidy. The cool did use a bit to much oil when preparing my omelette today, but I still enjoyed It!

First of all can I just say WOW!…read more We were excited at the first because we thought the Neat Bird from Chesapeake had a new location in Norfolk Colley Avenue but there chicken sandwich was even delicious here too with a different owner! We met the owner, he is a cool band guy with a mustache name Dand. The drinks he made for us were so good and so was the way he talked with his staff and the way they worked together. My parner and I had seen that they pride themselfes on Scottish eggs, which we were lucky to try and it was also very delicious! We like that they have the vibe and also a board with many events of the community on the wall to check out while you sip on a delicious expresso martini. Good job to the Bird! now dont go opening another restaurant in Chesapeake or we will all be very confused!

You order at the register, and the staff brings the food out to your table. Everyone was attentive, and we had no issues with the service. We ordered the waffle plate, which came topped with fruit alongside eggs and their house sausage. We also tried the Huevos Rancheros, the Sausage Egg & Cheese sandwich, and a build-your-own omelette. For drinks, we ordered the brown sugar cold brew, dulce de leche cold brew, drip coffee, and an espresso martini. The waffle was huge, and the sides were great. My only complaint was that it could have used more fruit, as there were only a few small pieces. The Huevos Rancheros were delicious and came with a generous serving of avocado. The only thing that caught us off guard was the lack of salsa, since in traditional Huevos Rancheros the salsa is a key component. Even so, the dish was still flavorful and filling. The omelette was excellent, and the breakfast sandwich was equally delicious. I was especially impressed by the house-made jam, house-made hot sauce, and the perfectly seasoned home fries. As for the drinks, the brown sugar cold brew was excellent, but the dulce de leche version was far too sweet for my taste. From what I understood, they use two flavored syrups to make it, and I think using smaller portions of each would create a better balance. We ended up adding oat milk and some drip coffee to tone it down. The drip coffee itself was solid and came with free refills. The espresso martini really tied brunch together for me -- strong, well-made, and delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed both the food and the experience, and we'll definitely be back.

I was taken care of by the chef and she was very helpful with the menu. They have so many appetizing options on their mostly healthy, all fresh menu. I love soup, so I love that they offer several each day, with some standards, plus a soup of the day, which on the day I visited was cream of potato. Where I sat at the counter, I could watch them making all the food and I was impressed to see that they don't just ladle soup into a bowl to serve it, they actually cook and prepare, then dress it to plate it perfectly. Their cream of potato was really good and not the traditionally made where the potato is pureed into the soup - rather they make a creamy soup base and then add potatoes to it. The combo of the soup, a small piece of potato, scallion, and a small piece of bacon really made for a great spoonful in each spoonful I enjoyed!! My coworker got their Asian Chicken Noodle and that looked amazing! He said it was incredible. Next up was the entrée and we both got their lamb gyro.... It's not the traditional gyro, it's an openfaced style, just like their chicken salad toast. It was really good! The tzatziki was great on it! And we also got a side of their cucumber feta salad... this tasted fresh and the feta was vibrant, with the combo of the cucumber and feta together being incredibly tasty. Overall, another very nice visit to a Stockpot restaurant... Looks like I need to try their Chesapeake location to get the trifecta of Stockpot! Highly recommend stopping in!

There is also seating upstairs (I didn't go up there...bad back). We had to wait about 20 minutes before we were seated. And they only had seating at the counter available when our buzzer went off. The server at the counter was very friendly and did a good job. We were saddened to know that by 11:00 they had run out of their home fried potatoes and the next batch wouldn't be ready for another hour...of course we may have been able to get some as it took over 40 minutes for our food to arrive. The cooks and kitchen staff were hustling and working hard to get the food out so I couldn't understand why it took so long. I gave food allergies so I was really looking forward to the potatoes as I had limited options of what I could eat. So I had scrambled eggs and turkey sausage. I wasn't supposed to eat a biscuit but I did because I knew the eggs and sausage would leave me hungry. Hubby ordered the Piña Colada French Toast, Turkey Sausage and Scrambled Eggs. I must say that the food was tasty and cooked very well. Hubby never got his eggs, so we asked them to remove them from the bill. They offered us a free dessert from the selections but we passed on it. I would definitely give them another visit if I'm in the area as I think the home fried potatoes are going to haunt me until I taste them! I do t know if I would recommend this place for people with children just because it's kind of small. A great spot to take your S/O or meet up with a (small) group of friends. The attention to detail was impossible to miss. Fresh-cut flowers sat on each table, adding a simple but thoughtful touch. Before our meals even arrived, we were served homemade herb focaccia with olive oil--an unexpected and appreciated gesture. And yes, even the water stood out. Being near the ocean, you often get that slightly earthy taste, but this water was clean, crisp, and clearly filtered. Now, the food. I ordered the Parmesan-crusted chicken with roasted potatoes and collard greens. The chicken was juicy (not dry at all) and cooked perfectly--something that sounds simple but is rarely executed this well. FANTASTIC! Vibes? Yes!…read moreFood? Yes! Wine? Yes! Thank you to John who welcomed us and recommended good wine for our food We came here with our son, who recently moved to Norfolk. It has an elegant but relaxed feel that would make this place great for a date or friends ( or family!) We will be back And yep, we are back for tapas Tuesday where all small plates are $2 off Hummus -- ok Duck egg rolls good Lamb meatballs : GREAT flavor!! Roasted Carrot beet with labneh and dukkah : delicious Dumplings-- good but spicy for me Miso butter gnocchi with mushrooms-- delicious Roasted salmon-- folks were split on this between "solid" and good Salad of farro and spinach with beets and goat cheese and pear -- this was amazing. The dressing had awesome spices in it that made the whole thing complex. 3 new wonderful wines ! Thanks to all at this restaurant for another amazing meal. You are our favorite Norfolk spot!!
