They tend to do a consistent and thorough job and even though they face the same long queue of customers of other nail salons in the area, they move as efficiently as possible without cutting corners. My gel manicures tend to last over two weeks before I have to come back. I also appreciate that the set you up with tin foil fingers to remove the existing gel while you're waiting for a good 5-10 minutes instead of forcing the removal process (read: filing down your nails or forcefully scraping off your gel) which tends to leave damage. If you do ever have any issues or concerns, Tiffanie, the owner, is always present and involved, and it's clear she takes pride in her business. Just went in today to get my usual pedicure with Haley. Always an outstanding experience and results. I am an older male and I inquired about manicures. She went over the different types of basic services and I decided to have the nails cut and cuticle's cleaned. What a wonderful feeling and look they had when done. It is very clean which is great but the manicures are hit or miss. I've had gel manicures at D Luxe that last for 2.5 weeks and others that last less than one week. My last two gel ma lasted less than 1 week which is disappointing given the price. Updated: Tiffanie fixed my gel manicure and did a great job. D Luxe is now my go-to nail place :) they do such a great job with dip manicures - I've gotten them done there 3 times now and my most recent one lasted 4 weeks! Also had a pedicure done and that was a lovely experience with a paraffin wax heel treatment. I've had a different nail tech every time and they've all done a wonderful job, and they're all so nice. I gave this nail salon two separate chances. The first time I went and got an acrylic full set and a pedicure for my vacation in Mexico. TWO of my nails broke off by the time I got to Mexico and the pedicure lasted all of 3 days before it started chipping. I went back a second time with a friend to get a pedicure. The nail tech was laughing and joking around speaking a different language with the other nail techs around her. She was rough and I told her she was hurting me. So unprofessional! Two days later I noticed a painful ingrown toe nail on my big toe now I have an infection. I do not recommend this place AT ALL. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming. read more

They were nice but the nails awful. My friend got a dip full set and the way her nails have been breaking from doing simple things like picking something up off the ground. The dip full set was weak and looking you could tell they did not file her natural nails enough. As for my gel full-set the shape is awful I kept taking the nail filing and showing her. She couldn't get a sharp set because she was using a old dull nail file. On top of poor shaping my nails had extreme dips in the nail itself when you look from the side. read more

The staff that did my pedicure and manicure did not show a lot of care for customer service or my comfort. Got a regular pedicure and the woman kept forcefully grabbing my foot. A different woman did my powder dip manicure and when she was using her machine and filing my nails, she kept accidentally filing my cuticles... which hurts. After leaving, my cuticles are sore and are in worse shape than when I went in there. Overall, not the enjoyable experience I was looking to treat myself with. Will not be back and do not recommend wasting your money here. read more

The verdict is still out for D Luxe. I came in because I usually go to another salon down the street but they could not accommodate a walk in and I needed a mani. Experience was good - technician gave me a nice shape and was very friendly. I noticed a lot of polish, and I enjoyed the atmosphere -- much larger and more modern than the other competition around. I liked their menu of pedicures and they seemed to have enough staff around (a problem at other salons). So, I scheduled to come back for a gel manicure and a pedicure the following week. At 9 AM. Unfortunately when I arrived at 9, the place still looked closed so I grabbed a coffee and came back about 5 mins after. I was checked in and sat in my chair, but nobody started on my nails until about 9:25. A few others had come in for walk ins and were started before me - while I was waiting (not in the time I was getting a coffee) just a little frustrating, I'm not sure what my tech was working on before she started on me -- but there were others available. Overall, the experience was okay. My nails looked nice but the polish peeled up at the bottom after only a few days because it was too close to the cuticle. My pedicure is still going strong. I'll return for a third time, just to see if I get a better technician - for only a few more dollars, the experience is nicer than the other local options. read more

Finding a great nail place is hard. But I love coming here. I leave always loving my nails every time now. I first got a deluxe pedicure and dip manicure. With this kind of pedicure, you pick the scent of you scrubbing salts, I picked rose. The dip manicure was my first time ever and it lasted forever, which was great. Next time I got a gel manicure as my pedicure was still lasting! There tends to be a wait but only because they are frequently busy and popular. But they always forewarn you the wait time, which I don't mind waiting for a good manicure. I will continue coming here as it's long lasting, great decor, and clean inside. read more

I had to wait 20 minutes after my appointment time, then had to continue to wait while someone else finished with the color I asked for (they only have one bottle of each color?) the employees were rude, the technician broke one of my nails in their rough gel removal process, and my manicure was horrible. Most of my nails have bubbles or visible spots she missed with top coat and she didn't paint the tips of my nails so one chipped within a week. Don't let the glitzy interior fool you. The first time I got a gel manicure here it lasted over two weeks, which is fantastic. Went back for another gel manicure last week and the technician was definitely more into watching everything else going on in the salon than my nails. My manicure was on Friday and by Tuesday night I had a chip. By Wednesday two of my nails were completely peeling. So I called and Tiffanie told me to come in to have them redone. Things seemed good until I woke up the next morning to 3 nails already chipped. I'd expect this from a regular manicure, but not a gel. I don't know if it's their lights, the nail polish or something else but if I'm going to spend the money for a gel manicure I'd hope it would last at least a week. read more

Today makes my 4th unpleasant experience ( this summer) with Deluxe. Twice I was charged a higher amount than the pedicure menu. Last month they would not quote me a price for a full set gel nail manicure. I was told it "depends". I asked on what? The owners response was "the length". I responded with a photo of what my daughter was looking for and she still wouldn't quote me a price. When I asked a third time, she began speaking in a foreign language to her employees and told me they can not do it. I would not have to ask if I wasn't charged 3 different prices for the same pedicure in previous visits. I just went there this morning for a gel manicure and they allowed someone else to "walk in" and go ahead of me. A bit of confusion. I was then asked to sit and wait for 15 minutes. They seriously need to go back to a sign in sheet and post a menu board that they stick to. I'll never set foot in there again. read more

This place is really hit or miss. Sometimes you get a good nail tech, sometimes you don't. If you get Hannah, it's probably in your best interest to ask for someone else. Overall, the customer service isn't great. Many of the nail technicians are rude and won't talk to you even if you try to initiate conversation. I've had to ask several times to have my nails fixed because the edges have been jagged and uneven after been filed. If I could give this place negative 5 stars I would. The service was absolutely terrible. The lady doing my nails was very nice but did such a bad job. My nails chipped in one day and it was gel. I was also given a hard time at first since I wanted dip gel however they didn't have the color I wanted in dip so I just went for the gel. The nail artist gave me such a hard time about it I was baffled. She also put the wrong color on my toes I don't even know how she did that ... she picked up a random color even though I handed her the color I wanted. 1st visit: manicure with the OPI "10 day" polish (extra 3 dollars) - manicure was fine, lasted about 6 days, which is ok for me 2nd visit: manicure/pedicure; again OPI for the manicure. The Opi didn't last 48 hours - after a shower 4 nails were chipped; but I gave it the benefit of the doubt that I'm rough on my hands and not a reflection of the salon. However, 1 week in and my pedicure is also chipping. I have, without fail, always been able to go at least 3 weeks without a pedicure chipping. Overall: don't spend the extra 3 dollars for OPI, not worth it. As mentioned in another review, the massage chair worked for about 2 seconds and then stopped (not a show stopper for me personally, but I can see how it would be frustrating for others). I wanted to like the new spot in town, but ultimately it's a lot of show for not a lot more value. read more

Two hours later after drying for 30 minutes at the salon and every single one of my nails has smudged to some extent and they are still smudging. Not sure if my technician used too much nail polish or what, but I am disappointed in the service. I wish I could give zero stars to be honest. I just came in here for an acrylic nail removal and at first I was very pleased with the service. I was a walk in and was able to be seated immediately. My nail tech got to work right away drilling and soaking my nails. I was very happy with her efficiency and glad that I was going to get a quick removal. I unfortunately got my hopes up. When I went to wash my hands after the nail tech said I was all set, I noticed a very hard layer on top of all of my nails. The acrylic layers had not even come off yet. The thick acrylic coated all of my nails and I ended up damaging my natural nails trying to lift it off which is what I wanted to avoid in the first place. I let the nail tech know that the acrylic had not even come off my nails yet and she angrily started resoaking them as she had already taken another customer. Another 5 minutes later some of the layer was drilled off and I was sent on my way. $15 later and there is still a layer of acrylic on my natural nails. I am very disappointed with this incomplete service. I did not mind getting a fast removal, but it seemed like they just wanted me out of there so they could take another client. I would've appreciated them actually taking the time to properly remove my nails. I will not be coming back. read more

I'm not sure about E Broadway because I went in there once for a refill and I was told that they were too busy. I recently tried the one on west Broadway and lord knows I will never again. What I usually pay $35 for at my regular place cost me $65 and they were so uneven and thick. And the owners replies for east Broadway is very unprofessional. I don't care who is right or wrong, you never speak to your customers like that. read more
