The auto-fan that turns on every time the front door is opened sounds like an eight-wheeler pulling up. People's happy voices are bouncing off the white tile walls constantly. First-time customers. Really small place with hardly any parking and tight. Only 5-6 tables that were taken. Drinks were delicious no doubt. Only 1 star bcuz they only offer a small$6 or medium drink $7, no large. Ordered the largest, medium, and it was half ice with less than 2 inches of actual coffee liquid. I have been coming to Da Vien coffee for their Vietnamese coffee a couple times now. I love their coffee especially their BOGO deals they offer from time to time. Their parking is much easier than the one in Rosemead. I also like the fact that they have my drinks ready for pick up despite their promo. I didn't have to wait. Love Da Vien coffee! Very glad they opened this location in Alhambra which makes it much closer to my work and home. Their drinks are always consistent and tastes great. The workers are friendly and welcoming! Prices are affordable, fair and even better when they have bogo promos! Definitely download the app to order ahead and earn rewards towards free drinks. They do get pretty busy so ordering ahead helps to avoid waiting. Parking gets full but there's street parking also. Staff was friendly. The egg cream was good although I don't expect to get again. Price point is too high. The shop would probably do well to warn people getting Marble Drip with oat milk that the drink will still contain dairy milk (for those who have issues with milk). There's generally a reason people are ordering with milk substitutes. From an email da vien sent: "We'd like to clarify that the Marble Drip is made with both whole milk and sweetened condensed milk. While we can substitute the whole milk with oat milk upon request, the condensed milk is still part of the recipe and does contain dairy." By the way, go get a sandwich at Banh My Tho ( best banh mi around) then go to da vien. Don't do it the other way around. It usually takes longer to get banh mi orders. The coffee at the sandwich shop is also legit if you like plain Vietnamese coffee. Also, parking is very tight and parking spaces small in the shopping center so plan to park in the street if you come during weekends or other busy times. read more

We walked in and got yelled at. First by the door fan sounding like a 8-wheeler and second by the whole staff at the counter. It was awesome but also we didn't like it. Update: I appreciate the manager reaching out. I was able to visit the Rosemead location and the experience was great. I tried the Strawberry Matcha which was descent but I think I'll stick to other drinks. I didn't read the ingredients and when I got the drink I realized it was a matcha foam like substance so didn't really give a matcha flavor to my liking. I will definitely be going to the Rosemead location more often but I am willing to try the Alhambra one again. Ok so, I understand that it is a new location and that it may be busy. With that said, I entered and was not greeted at all (no biggie). There was no line so I was standing there to order at the counter because I wanted to ask about the different drinks, since it was my first time at this chain. There were 2 staff at the counter and there was no acknowledgement from any of them, and no, they were not helping anyone else. A lady came in right after me and they did the same to her. She ended up going up to the counter to ask if she could just grab her online order. Meanwhile, still no acknowledgement towards me so I just decided to order at the kiosk. Minutes later, more people came in (they were greeted) and one ordered at the counter and another at the kiosk (these were 2 that I happened to notice coming in minutes after me). I started to hear names called out to pick up their orders and noticed that those people who came way after me got their drinks first. Now this is what bothers me. They stopped calling names so I went up to the counter and told the staff and no apologies or nothing. Definitely not a good first impression. read more
