Also ordered three different sliders. The best one was the blackberry habanero chicken. It was very good and spicy. The blue cheese burger had a pickled onion that really didn't go with the blue cheese. It could have used just some arugula. The third was a raspberry chipotle chicken slider and it just was not very good and chicken was dry on this one. Overall just average bar food. Server was nice and beer was good. Let me start by saying we did have issues but they were all resolved. Service was slow to get our food considering there were maybe 10 customers in the whole restaurant. The brisket reuben was very good, didn't have enough mac sauce so I asked for some on the side. The tots came out lukewarm and when I told them they made me another batch that were piping hot. Chicken sandwich came out very dark and was dry but we added a side of honey hot sauce which made it better. They told me the dark color of the chicken was because of their batter. We were recently in town to visit the local attractions, and all indications were that this was a great dining option! We had about a thirty minute wait in a Friday evening, which seems totally within reason. When finally seated, there were multiple games playing on the big screens, music blaring and a live musician. Our waiter was friendly, but seemed somewhat distracted by our requests for food, drinks, napkins, etc. There were several options on the menu that we inquired about and were briefly dismissed and told we wouldn't like them. Our food was promptly delivered and as shown on the menu, with an ample portion which was pleasantly surprising. About 5 minutes after we arrived, an older couple came in, also a party of two, and since there were so many people waiting, I asked if they wouldn't mind sharing a table of 4 with us. They really need to take their smoked potatoes and au gratin them! That would be incredibly amazing!! I also loved the fact they have their own parking lot. Made it much easier to get there. Lots of stairs, so, not sure how "mobility-impared friendly" it is, but, with their own lot you aren't parking 6 blocks away and walking. This place is a must try if you are in Ashville! First of all, the staff was very accommodating for our large party! My husband and I split the large slider tray and had a side of curly fries to go with it! I got the mac daddy chicken nachos, they were very very good! The pico was absolutely fab. I was really shocked, the tomatoes had so much flavor! The chip to topping ratio was perfect, something that other restaurants struggle with. I also enjoyed that the jalapeños were on the side, it was great to be able to ration them out bite for bite. For nachos: 8/10. My friend got the pulled pork tacos. They were similar save the protein and were also delish. She hates rating things but she also went with a 8/10, "they were juicy". Overall, yum. Frist time at Daddy Mac's and let me tell you this place has something for everyone. We arrived around 12:00PM on a Sunday and has no issue getting a table. They have a large number of beers on tap and plenty of mixed drinks. I will say their pricing on drinks was pretty fair too. I know this is going to sound crazy but was actually didn't order and appetizer for once in our lives. Ashley did have a Cheerwine Beer that tasted very much like the soda which is a great thing. They also have Cheerwine Chicken, Cheerwine BBQ Wings and a Cheerwine Float. So if you are a fan of Cheerwine this is the place for you. For my entrée I ordered Papa's Patty Melt because who doesn't love a Patty Melt. I did add American Cheese to it too. I don't know what it is but I love a Patty Melt with American and Swiss. For my side I went with Curly Fries because when they are an option you always go curly. The Patty Melt was good but was missing a little something for me and could have used a little more seasoning but still very good. Now since we didn't get a appetizer we decided to order dessert. We went with the Nutter Butter Nana Pudding. Now I don't really like banana but I do love Nutter Butters so this balanced well for me. She was helpful and kind at first, I'm not sure what happened but after she answered my question and I responded, she was absolutely quiet. I was kind of expecting a "is there anything else I can help you with?" or "thank you for calling have a good night". She was just quiet and then when I started to say "have a good-" she rudely hung up the phone. It's not even like I called at a busy time, they sounded pretty slow to me since they weren't on a wait.
