The chocolate filled donut is the best donut I've ever had. Wish more donut shops were like Dad's!

Good donuts, drinks and croissants at decent prices. To family owned. The son isn't very friendly, almost surly.

Good ol' Dad's. Reliable, Friendly, Cheap. Dad's Donuts is a great place to grab very delicious, freshly made donuts and coffee without all the frills and fuss of other "fancy" (and often overpriced and overhyped) donut establishments. Family-owned and very friendly, nearly all of the donuts are under $2. Don't be shy about asking which one(s) are the freshest and warmest - Dad's will tell no lies. On this particular visit, I grabbed a maple bar and a glazed old fashioned along with a freshly brewed small coffee - all for under $6. A couple of tables inside and out, a fairly small parking lot and no bathroom privileges. But this is mostly a grab and go place - Dad's wants you to get your sugar intake and go back outside to play. Dad's Donuts & Bakery is a nice name for a donut shop. Had to try their donuts because I like the name. The shop is located in a small plaza. Not a lot of parking in the tight lot. Found some street parking so I got to get some exercise. This local donut shop is not large. They display most of their donuts kind of the way Dunkin does. Good selection of donuts and muffins. After chatting with the staff member, I bought a couple of goodies. Prices were not bad. Sat down at one of the tables to eat my purchases. Chocolate French Cruller was EXCELLENT. Fresh and delicious. One of the best crullers I've ever tried. 5 stars Boston Creme donut was good. I always try to buy this donut at every shop that I try for the first time so I've tried dozens of them. Their version was above average. 4 stars It was a good first visit at Dad's Donuts & Bakery. I'm in Burbank more often nowadays so I'll be dropping by here again. read more

We go to the small plaza Dad's Donuts is located in. Such was the case this past weekend. We hadn't popped in until then for some donuts.... I always wondered how their offerings were. Everything always looked good looking in from outside. Glad we finally went in and sampled their goods. We ordered 2 old fashioned donuts. Glazed for me, maple for my lady. I also got an apple fritter. She got a vanilla creme filled... My glazed old fashioned was really good. I really liked it. I always get a glazed old fashioned at any donut shop. It's my gauge for seeing how they make their donuts. Good cake donut, perfect glaze. I also liked the apple fritter... They are huge. It actually took me 3 sittings to finish the apple fritter. It's sweet, glazed and sprinkled with diced apple pieces throughout. Real good apple fritter. Our total for all 4 donuts was $6.50... Customer service from the young Asian gentleman was great. It's always nice to revisit a place and have a better experience. This time around, just my husband and I shopped here, last time we had family from out of town who were kinda impatient. So, we were able to browse and ask more questions. On top, the selection was much better! We got cronuts and apple fritter because we liked them last time. The lady who owns the place was very nice and convinced us quickly to get their popular dozen. Not hard to be convinced since it was a great deal and during Covid, we want a treat. So we added a couple Boston cream ones, Raspberry and Blueberry filled ones. I was craving for churros and theirs looked nice and fresh, so got a few! They respected the safety rules during the pandemic, everyone working here was wearing masks and gloves, just another customer inside, so felt safe. Very nice customer service, great local business, decent prices, everything was fresh, we surely enjoyed their donuts. Solid classic, nothing fancy, but well made. And the churros were fantastic. Came here today because I just felt like a donut. This is more than a donut shop. I immediately loved this place the moment I walked in and I saw the owner greet a young boy dressed up as "handsome!" I could sense the young boy feeling over dressed but he looked so nice. The owners disposition is just so great. He was super engaging with me and I felt like I needed to try it all. Woke up craving a croissant. Went to Dad's this morning and the croissants were just made. Excellent! My craving has been satisfied. Great timing to go there. Surprisingly well-stocked! I dropped by at 6pm on a Friday and they had so much to choose from. I was expecting empty shelves but it seemed like most of their standard inventory. There was a constant flow of customers too so it's not like they weren't selling anything. Uncanny! Open late (9pm) which is nice since a lot of donut shops close early. They have mostly traditional flavors plus a few fun cronut flavors. Reasonable prices. They take credit cards ($6 minimum or a small fee). Efficient and friendly service once it was my turn. There was a wait but only because a customer was getting a party order (multiple sandwiches and boxes of donuts/cookies) without ordering in advance. Come on. We Burbankers don't like to brag, but dang have we got a lot of good donut shops or what? Please allow this short review to add Dad's to the long list of must-try donut shops in our town. Located in a tiny strip mall across from Ralphs where Buena Vista meets Victory, you'd almost miss Dad's driving by. No Krispy Kreme lines here, though the donuts are good enough. And donuts aside, Dad's is my spot for cooked-to-order breakfast sandwiches: the egg, ham or bacon and cheese on a fluffy croissant (about $5) is so worth it! Save room for donuts of course. Here's my go-to donut at Dad's and, according to Dad himself, this is the only place in town to get it: the fluffy vanilla cream filled donut. If you are a vanilla cream guy like me (not whipped cream, not yellow cream, and not the Krispy Kreme donut filling), then get ready to be blown away. You'll see the vanilla cream poking out of the donut from across the counter, but there's enough inside for every bite. Though I've had (and enjoyed) most donuts at Dad's, this is the signature donut for me. And as Dad said, I've never found it anywhere else! Also at the top of Dad's list, the chocolate chip muffins. I was blown away by their selection of donuts and thought I had find my go to donut spot... that was until my third visit. Donuts: 4/5 Great selection of donuts and not greasy at all. I loved their churros they are fluffy and don't seem to be fried. Parking: Small lot and street parking. Customer Service: 1/5-The first two times I visited he seemed to be kind of yelling at employees I am not sure why as there wasn't a huge line. The last time I visited I had just told him I was glad I had found this donut spot and how I loved their selection of donuts. That day my partner had placed another order for a sandwich as I was walking in. I let him know that I was there to pick up online orders (2 of them) he then proceeds to starts yelling at the lady behind the counter about the order just placed. I let him know that I would wait as that order had just been placed (why would it be ready). There was arguing between the two in front of me. He then says to me, Hey you placed an order online but I want to let you know that you paid only a certain amount so you didn't pay it completely. So I said hmm ok isn't that your website then it is something that you need to fix. I also offered to pay him the 75 cents owed lol. He said it was ok so I proceeded to ask him what was his point on telling me that. I am not sure what his point was as he is the one that needs to fix his website to reflect that amount. With that being said I won't come back just because he yells at his employees in front of customers and I find this extremely rude. Delicious! I'm so glad I discovered a place close to home that has blueberry donuts that remind me of blueberry donuts from m&m donuts in Anaheim. Also, I don't have to wait one hour for blueberry donuts. These blueberry donuts are so yummy. They have a nice crispy outside and a nice soft inside. These blueberry donuts actually have visible blueberries in them. Yay! Usually, other blueberry donuts from other places seem like they use blueberry extract or use so little blueberries that you can't taste them. Well, here they are visible and are totally delicious. Not only do they have blueberry donuts, they have churro donuts, cronuts, and the other typical donut options. This little mom and pop store has freshly made donuts at a very reasonable price.
