It's an old fashioned donut shop located in a small plaza with only a few parking spots. It's a real hidden gem, and I visited this store very randomly and felt satisfied after the first bite. Their apple fritter is a must try here, hard sugar coded shell and soft apple fillings, every bite has a condensed layers for taste. On top of the great food, I was happy with their friendly service and affordable prices.

Ordered five different donuts at 5pm on a Sunday and they were so fresh! Loved them. Will absolutely be returning.

I can't say enough good things about this mom and pop donut shop. I've been going here since I was a teenager. Their donuts are the BEST in Burbank, and that's saying a lot because Burbank is home to some donut mega giants. Burbank citizens: never take for granted that we are blessed to live in donut heaven! They have really good breakfast croissants here and they make an awesome strawberry banana smoothie; their Thai tea is also so well made. The service here is always so good. They open early. There's always a good rush of people between 6:00-9:00 am. The prices are unbeatable too! My favorite item here is the apple fritters! They are the reason it's hard for me to be skinny.

Absolutely delicious! Dad's Donut Bakery in Burbank is a true gem. I stopped by for the first time and tried the apple fritter , donut twist and the cake coconut donut and all 3 were incredible. The apple fritter twist was perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, with just the right touch of cinnamon and glaze. The coconut cake donut was rich, moist, the glazed twist easily one of the best I've had. On top of that, the prices are super reasonable. You get fresh, high-quality donuts without overpaying. Friendly service too. Definitely my new go-to spot for donuts in Burbank

The Service: The owner is very friendly and sweet. She is there at the shop as early as 4am. The service is efficient. The Donuts: Freshly baked daily. Consistent good quality. No wonder she gets lots of orders from the entertainment studios in Burbank. The Parking: Plaza parking lot (free).

Delicious donuts that are served quickly by a friendly staff. There are about 18 or so different options to choose from, including original, cake, and cronut (croissant-donut) options. There are a couple of two-person tables inside, but this is mostly a place to take your food to-go.

Great customer service! The donuts are fresh, and flavorful. The old fashioned donuts, my favorite, have perfect crispy edges and a soft interior. The coffee is good too. I will definitely be coming back next time I need a good donut.

The owners are so sweet and very accommodating. The place has been around forever. Great donut selection. Delicious! Small place but convenient to stop in and pick up some coffee and sweets any day of the week.

Good food good service no complaints. Would go back without question. I need 85 characters but I don't know why that is a requirement.

The chocolate filled donut is the best donut I've ever had. Wish more donut shops were like Dad's!

Good donuts, drinks and croissants at decent prices. To family owned. The son isn't very friendly, almost surly.

I came here due to the rating. My donut was stale, so I was sad the place didn't live up to my expectations. That happens.

My son found Altadena Bakery during one of his random college-area adventures while seeing it on social media and told me we HAD to go. I figured, sure, it's a bakery. How serious could this be? Apparently very serious. First of all, walking in and seeing that pastry case is dangerous. Everything is absolutely beautiful, the fruit-shaped desserts almost look too perfect to eat. Almost. We grabbed several because obviously self-control had already left the building. But the almond croissant? THAT is the reason for the drive for me. Flaky, buttery, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft inside, and filled with just the right amount of almond. No dry, sad croissant nonsense happening here. It was worth every mile from Fullerton to Burbank. Everything we tried was delicious, fresh, and almost ridiculously pretty. My kid definitely gets credit for finding this one. Altadena has officially become one of those places where, if we're anywhere remotely nearby, we're stopping. And by "remotely nearby," apparently I mean 40 miles away.

The Nutella pizza was especially bad--it was so hard and crunchy that it was basically inedible. Everyone who tried it took one bite and couldn't eat any more. Half of our pepperoni pizza was literally black from being so badly burned. I called the bakery afterward to let them know about the poor quality of the food, particularly because a significant portion of our order was simply inedible. The employee I spoke with gave me the manager's number and specifically told me to send my complaint to the manager. I did exactly that and never received so much as an acknowledgment or response. Mistakes happen, and I would have been much more understanding if someone had simply responded and attempted to make the situation right. Instead, after spending more than $70 on burnt food, we were completely ignored. I'm incredibly disappointed by both the quality of the food and the lack of customer service. Based on our experience, they clearly did not care whether we received food that was actually edible or whether our complaint was addressed afterward. I will not be returning and would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Someone mentioned to me to call Martino's bakery in Burbank and I did. They too have cherry pie, so I ran to Martino's and they had just sold their last cherry pie. At this point, I was determined to get a cherry pie that was to my liking. Maribel told me to come the next day and I did. I was there at 8 o'clock when they open and they were very friendly, Maribel remembered me from yesterday and was so happy to get me a cherry pie, which had just been baked by the way. I got the pie home and have had two pieces. It is exactly what I was looking for. Finally my craving is satisfied and I'm happy. Martino's bakery has been in existence for countless years, and I have bought my share of tea cakes, which they are famous for. I never knew they sold cherry pie and I'm glad I've learned they do.
