So I live in NoHo, which means I am surrounded by hundreds of unnecessary donut shops. I lived in Pittsburgh for all my life and it was very difficult to find a donut, now it's very difficult for me not to find a donut. I've searched around to see what my LA donut virginity would be lost too, passed the Krispy Kreme hell at Burbank Empire 40 times and the line was never any shorter than a 5K race, and so one day decided to stop in at Dads Donuts on a whim. What a great decision that was. These are some of the best donuts I've ever had, and I know I'm no expert but I don't say this lightly. The atmosphere is so "Mom and Pop-y" and I love it. I will definitely be going back here for my infrequent donut needs. read more

Seriously big and they did the bacon right - crispy and they built the sandwich in a way that each bite was heaven and didn't fall apart! i stopped by at Dad's Donuts & Bakery after I dropped off a passenger at Burbank Airport. This shop is REALLY close to the airport. I got 1/2 dozen of donuts and a regular cronut. The donuts are SUPER soft. i love their glazed donut a lot. Their blueberry donut is pretty good too (on par with the M&M donuts, but a little fluffier here). The Cronut was pretty good but i wish it was a taller / higher (more layer) cronut. just stick to their donuts. Personally i thought the staffs are friendly. This is is my go to place whenever I want to buy doughnuts for coworkers. Can't go wrong with $10 a dozen of baked goodies. There are so many kinds to choose from. Aside from doughnuts, they also have muffins, churros, croissants, and cronuts. Everything are baked at the back of the store so they are guaranteed fresh. There are usually long lines especially in the mornings but don't worry because service is always fast. Members of the staff are very friendly and always have a smile in their faces while assisting customers. During summer time, I always order their Thai boba tea and other blended drinks. Unlike so many donut places, Dads does a good job of not making the donuts too sweet. In addition, they're pretty light rather than dense. If your customer says they're ready to order, and you keep doing whatever you're doing, then go to the back, then come back around after a couple of minutes... well, when I worked at a counter, you'd wash your hands right away and get back to what you were doing after you served them. I wanted the cronut holed and regular glaze donuts. They ran out of cronut holes. The regular glaze weren't special. The batter is thick, and doesn't taste great. I prefer the original glaze at Krispy Kreme. Hopefully I can update this review when they have cronut holes, but based on the regular donuts, which is likely the base for most of their donuts, I think its mediocre, and too thick. The couple that manage this place are absolutely adorable. Dad's Donuts is the typical family owned business that folks like us need to support, especially in times like these. I had to stop by my motorcycle shop to check on a few things and so I decided to bring some donuts for the fellas. When I went by the store, I asked the lady behind the counter to make a me a box of her best. She was so cool! She showed me the variety of flavors and suggested the ones that are the most favorites too. The box turned out to be amazing! I also brought a few bagels and cream cheese. Initially ordered through Postmates, but the delivery kid fucked up my drinks, so I ended up spilling Thai tea all over my stairs because he did not wait the 10 seconds it took me to answer my door. So I called the store and spoke to one of the owners, and she felt really bad, probably also knowing how bad Postmates is, overall. She offered to replace them next time I came in the store. So I obliged and went in later the same day. They were happily replaced, and she even added in boba for free! Their sandwiches are really good, as well as all their baked goods! But their donuts? Oh man, they're borderline addictive! They're always happy to describe what is what, mainly when it comes to the filled donuts, but it doesn't help because it made me want all of them! Overall, the food is about as good as the people who run it. So really damn good to me. I ordered on their website. Selected donuts, a coffee and 2 bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel for $6.50. The order was delivered and the sandwiches were on croissants. I called the shop and the owner told me unless I specifically asked for bagel all sandwiches come on croissant. I said I clicked on bagel. He said that doesn't matter. The sandwich on croissant is $5.95. Got the wrong order, paid for bagel prices and when I called and questioned it the owner got nasty, said he didn't care, told me everything costs more anyway and if I really needed my money back that badly I should come into the store and he would give me all the money I wanted. Don't buy donuts from here. Super expensive and also the donuts are much smaller. I went in there with my 10 year old daughter since I haven't been there in a while. I only bought one donut for my daughter since I already had my coffee. When my daughter took her donut out of the bag the donut was literally a size of a donut hole and not only that it was super smash. I went back in there to ask for another round donut and he told me to "have her close her eyes when she eats it" I thought that was super rude he didn't offer me another donut that look like a donut should look especially when one donut is $1.90!!!!! This a mom and pop type of shop. This is why bigger chains donuts end up taking over at least you get what you pay for. This is ridiculous and they need to take care of their Customers especially when everyone is local. Will never buy another donut from here. I will also advise this to the PTA. And in case you need cash - Money Mart is right next door. Excell Dry Cleaners will get you looking sharp. There, you have it all! Dads Donuts... Where do I even begin with my love for you and this place! Growing up this was where my family and I got our donuts as it was our local donut shop that was easy to go to and so fair with its prices. Little did we know that this place would contain the best donuts we would have in our lives and possibly the rest of it!! For me personally growing up here these were the first ever donuts i've had, leaving such a high expectation for me when it came to DONUTS! I would often find my self disappointed eating a donut from a shop somewhere else and I never knew until my recent visit at dads and I came to realize these are some of the BEST DONUTS IN CA. Hear me out because that is quite the statement to make about such an iconic food. Whenever I would eat a donut ANYWHERE ELSE it would be such a sheer disappointment because I would compare that flavor to the succulent, soft and sweet flavor of Dads donuts. i've tried numerous trendy donuts that people claimed to be "Amazing" because of extravagant toppings and decorations but they can never EVER top the flavor and mastery of a Dads Donut. It is truly a work of art in how they mastered the the potential flavors that are possible within a donut. You wouldn't expect it from a glance as it is a small mom and pop shop in the corner of a strip mall, but never judge a book by its cover. It must've been my lucky day because I hit the jackpot! They had the best maple bar EVER! I mean the other donuts were good too but the maple bar definitely stole the show! Big, soft, fluffy, with amazing maple icing! This maple bar was thicker and fluffier than most maple bars I've tried. This mom and pop shop is a 5 Star donut shop. They have freshly made donuts at all hours of the day. I came in at 4 o'clock and donuts tasted like they were just made. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients!
