These are without question some of the best donuts anywhere. Not flashy, just excellent execution. I love cake donuts. These were perfect, slightly crunchy on the surface, firm cake, not too sweet. The chocolate actually tasted like chocolate and the cronuts were also very good. If in Burbank, this is the place to get you Donuts. Also, the proprietor was a fascinating and multilingual gentleman who could carry on a friendly conversation while efficiently serving his many customers. Definitely worth a stop. read more

Honestly, I don't even like donuts that much but I came in here all the time on my breaks when I worked across the street at Ralphs, and the people here are always so incredibly sweet and nice and always remember their regulars. There are numerous donut spots around my work but I wanted the best one, so Yelp gave me this spot. Not too far from my work and easy parking. I got a half dozen donuts, and for about $5 thats a sweet deal. None of their donuts really stood out until I tried their glazed twist. Prob one of the best glazed twists I have ever had. Good amount of glaze, not too sweet and the donut had a great chewy texture. I will def be coming back here for my donut cravings. read more

I have been coming here since I was a kid. Not only is this family owned shop great. The service is amazing. Bruce is amazing he always remembers me and my family. I even went to school with his kids. This place will always be my go to donut shop. I always get my boba and ham and cheese croissants here. Donuts are so so, quite over-priced ranking in at about a buck a doughnut. There is a six dollar minimum to use a credit card too, if you don't hit the six dollars they mention it to you that they'll charge fifty cents. No big deal it's local but still kinda sucks at the same time, ya know? Only had the vanilla cream, a coconut glazed cake donut, and a sugar coated yeast raised donut. Vanilla cream tasted way too sweet almost like white sugar cake frosting piped into a donut. The cake donut was ok, not awesome but ok. The sugar coated yeast was decent but the sugar was too fine almost like a sugar dust, I'm a big texture eater I should have mentioned. Didn't try the coffee but it didn't look like I was going to miss anything anyway. Super nice and cool help behind the counter, the dude was super relax and easy to talk to. read more

In the past, I've passed by this location a million times but never knew a donut shop existed. I guess I was always fascinated by the breakfast place next door. In any case I finally stopped in to grab a couple of donuts. Not cheap but I guess the days of 75 or even 80 cent donuts don't exist in L.A. anymore. Regular donuts are $1 and fancier ones are $1.10 and up. Good old fashioned donuts meaning yeasty, sugary and well cooked----sort of the way Winchell's used to be before they went down south. Went to Dad's donuts and bakery for the first time. Saw on yelp"donuts near me". A gentleman by the name of Brandon waited on me. I told him I wish you could find Bismarcks in California. He said he had heard of them but did'nt know exactly what they were. I looked over the donuts, said give me a knife and made one combining donuts in the case. Food of the God's. Not one donut maker in California has a clue what a Bismarck is. I have had donut makers tell me they tried them and they did not sell. Being originally from the east coast I was shocked! They sell boatloads of them. Every time someone tells me that or a baker days they do not sell I ask, "How are they made?" There has not been one correct answer. Anyway, back to Dad's Donuts and Bakery....without question the freshest and best donuts, hands down, anywhere in California. You can most likely realize I will be back here. I am also going to make sure all of my family within miles of here knows about this place. Great service, very friendly and most of all the best donuts in California. read more

I stop in here more often than I'd like to admit but I can't stay away, they make THE BEST piña colada smoothie with boba, hits the spot and just so so yummy. As its national donut day today I'll be making another stop in for me weekly boba fix and some tasty treats. Highly recommend this place. I have to write an update, and it's only because the last two times I had boba from here, I got really sick afterwards (and I know it was the boba because the one day my brother and I ate the same things, and the only difference was the boba). Through a special hookup we got these delivered to our office in San Francisco. The cronut is LEGIT, somehow creamy and light even though you KNOW it's chock full of deep-fried buttery goodness. I came across this place on the way to taking my kids to school. They have yummy donuts and they are very speedy and very sweet. They make it great for myself and the kids on Friday treat day... We get our donuts,milk and coffee on the way to school for them being good all week.... and my sweet little boy loves the same donut as his mommy did when she was little...Maple bars are the best!!!
