Just had the most amazing lunch! Went after my soon to be daughter in laws wedding dress fitting. Our waitress Tanae was so awesome! She saw us all looking at pictures and brought us mimosas and mimosas to celebrate! After our lunch she then brought us dessert to try. I was strolling through the City Center and stumbled upon this cute and quaint restaurant Daily Gather that just opened a few months ago. Everyone was super nice and friendly and very upbeat. The daily gather is such a cute and cozy brunch spot. You can go solo, on a date or with a group of friends because it fits all those occasions. I'm always a bit weary of places that are so cute because the food is usually subpar however this place was a pleasant surprise. The French toast (to die for) with the Gouda grits and a mimosa flight hit the spot! I only rated 4 out of 5 because our waiter wasn't as attentive as I would expect for the setting. read more

Came here with a friend for a late birthday celebration. This place is so cute and I love the vibe. Can't wait till the spring and sit out on the patio. The staff was very attentive and everything came out so delicious. I had the ranch style eggs and the brisket was so tender. My friend had the garden omelette and let's just say neither one of us had leftovers. Will definitely be back. I want to try the biscuits and gravy. Also brunch is not complete without mimosas. Eating in Houston is not always an exercise in health, but as a couple, my husband and I make it work. When looking for a brunch place, Daily Gather came up on a list. The menu didn't look completely healthy; it's clear how you could get away with eating 5000 calories here. But it also has a good menu for those who want to keep it light. It's nice to see an option for those of us that want to be a little more thoughtful and save the splurge for pizza night. The ambiance here was super chill, which my husband and I both loved, with the little question cards which kept us from staring at our phones. But it was the service that made it impeccable. My husband is super picky about his omelettes. We both prefer french-style, but he takes it to another level and will not eat one with the ingredients mixed into the eggs. We asked Patricia which way they did it, and she explained they poured the eggs and then added the ingredients and allowed them to finish cooking. So it was American-style, but still better than most. My husband wasn't getting what she was saying, but begrudgingly agreed to order it. A few minutes later, Patricia comes out with the chef in-tow. She introduced him and let him talk through the preparation with my husband who was able to communicate what he wanted. The chef said no problem. It's one thing for an employee to know how the omelette is prepared. It's another to exhibit patience for such an odd line of questioning. But it's completely on another level to go get the chef so the orderer can ensure they're getting what they want. And the fact that she didn't call my husband any names was a cherry on top (because even I get a little annoyed by the omelette obsession). I'd happily come back to Daily Gather. The food was good, the ambiance was good, but the service was next level. read more

We visited at 3:30 o. A Tuesday. Happy hour just kicking off. Decent crowd. The cocktails Ellet's delicious and the service was excellent! Atmosphere: pretty good . The table had the ever present wobble. Every time we took a sip of our drink, the table sloshed back and forth. A constant distraction. I had the brisket beef dip. The Onions and mushrooms were delish, but the dipping "a Juis" was what? Some kind of salsa or gravy. Not what I was expecting. It was a little bland and did not soak up onto the bread like I was expecting. The fries tasted like fish was cooked in the same oil. Eww. My guest had a burger with avocado which fell apart immediately. It was good, but a fork and knife was necessary. For dessert, crème brûlée!! Served with fresh grapefruit and orange slices on top. Overpowered the crème brûlée, but still pretty good overall. I liked the restaurant overall, but nothing is begging me to return. I will try other places before I come back here. read more

My updated review on the Daily Gather: This place is very cute and initially we came to celebrate my birthday but had a very poor experience. The manager reached out and offered us to come back and try the restaurant again. For that reason I give this restaurant 3 stars instead of my 2 initial stars. The service is poor at best. We had to ask the waiter multiple times for salt (yep, salt) and even then the bus boy (who pretty much was our waiter) helped us to get drinks, salt and other condiments. I appreciate the managers efforts but really would not come back. The food is average and the service is not very good. It's quite unfortunate because it's such a cute spot in Town and Country. read more

Down in Houston this weekend and checked out Daily Gather at CityCentre. It just opened. The food is amazing!! Really great menu! I had the BLT with avocado and egg and my husband the short rib with smoked Gouda grits. The grandkids enjoyed it too!! The staff was so friendly and the service great too! They have a lot of outdoor seating and it is right on the green so the grandkids got to burn off some energy after we ate. Will definitely be back! read more

Beautiful place. My sister and I had a late lunch there on a Wednesday afternoon. The hostess was not welcoming at all. She was all smiles with a group leaving saying goodbye, but one look at us she changed completely. It was like we were bothering her. She never uttered a word. I told her we needed a table for two, she grabbed the menus and started walking. Never said a word, just had a stink face on her the whole time. Thankfully our server Manuel was great. He was welcoming and helpful. We each ordered a drink, both were delish. We shared the Mac n cheese and it was fantastic. The rotisserie chicken sandwich was so good, the fries were amazing. The burger was not great, almost like they forgot to season the beef. But not a big deal, just wouldn't order it again. Our lunch started with a problem with our reservations. They attempted to seat us by the water station and bathrooms...telling us we had no reservations...which we did. Our server did a great job even though they were packed. The breakfast menu was extensive and all but the chocolate donuts were fantastic. The final straw was when our server, not the mgr, had to come over and tell us our two hour window was over and we needed to give up our table.
